If they don't have to pay Lawler for 3 or 4 games the cap savings would be significant. -

I was responding to Goalie's suggestion that Castillo could be at risk of losing his job to Staton, I don't think a decision like that should be made quickly, again experience and past performance under pressure counts. -

Replacing Castillo with a hasty decision is where the unknowable risk comes in. How do you know if anyone will perform well under pressure, if they've never performed under pressure before? Experience counts. -

I think the most logical/least risk option is to keep Leggs and Castillo for now, move the best Global that can do both jobs to the PR and see how he develops. If he works out well it gives them the option of improving the kicking game as they see fit and the possibility of trading away a vet. If he doesn't work out so be it, they're back to where they were when they won the GC in 2021. -

BC just released former Bomber DE Alex McCallister who looks like a Willie clone, may be worth taking another look if they're not happy with their crop of new DE's. -
So ramp oilsand production up with out limits and pay no heed or penalty for output emissions, is that the goal? Some folks still voting for climate denial while the northern half of the province burns to cinders, can't make this stuff up. Look and see, AB. produces the most GHG emissions in Canada...but that's not enough, they want to produce more!

Stumbled upon "Smartless:On the Road" which is a 5 episode doc. following the road tour of the popular Smartless podcast hosted by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, interesting guests and a lot of easy laughs. Interesting to discover Will Arnett has some real MB. roots even though he grew up in T.O., both his parents were originally from MB. and he spent summers in the province with his grandparents growing up. He also mentioned working 4 months replacing sewer lines under Wpg. streets, so he must of spent time in the city as an adult. His father was a corporate lawyer, who served as the president and CEO of Molson Breweries from 1997 to 2000, so at no point was Will ever slumming it. Also discovered Jason Bateman is a bit of a freak.

I can think of a third interpretation, a "CFL suspension" means you can make use of the designation however you choose, and no one will ever follow up on it. -
Statements like these are about to become a dime a dozen, rural Alberta elected the govt. they wanted, the UCP culled from all Edmonton and a lot of Calgary leaves very few moderate voices available for caucus without much representation from their two urban centers. .Basically the Wildrose Party finally found a way to win an election, without running under their own banner. A method Harper first employed when he morphed the original Reform regressives into the CPC. Expect a lot more grievance with Ottawa, ill thought through social policies, and weird ideological experiments in their public school system trying to warp time back to the 1950's.

God I'd love to see her do a quick backflip on the Flames deal.

This is going to be a difficult file for the Feds. to handle, best approach is stone cold silence, while the banshee screams and points her pointy finger at the devils in Ottawa. The Feds. need to stick to their game plan and not compromise on any files to appease the anarchists. Eventually the price of oil will tank due to the cyclical nature of the industry and Smith will be left holding the deficit bag when the typical layoffs occur. This is about the only thing that will grab the attention of the dumbfucks that can't see anything beyond the end of their noses.

But not that surprising, the Bombers YouTube channel has zero content. https://www.youtube.com/@wpg_bluebombers/featured The Elks are beating the Bombers with media content. https://www.youtube.com/@GoElks/featured A quick check confirms the Bombers are the only CFL team without a decent YouTube channel, someone needs to get off their ass and start producing content. https://www.youtube.com/@ticatstvchannel https://www.youtube.com/@OfficialBCLions/videos https://www.youtube.com/@calstampeders/videos https://www.youtube.com/@thesskroughriders/videos https://www.youtube.com/@CFLREDBLACKS/featured https://www.youtube.com/@TorontoArgonauts https://www.youtube.com/@AlouettesdeMontreal -

The problem is you would need to limit a vet. player, most likely a former starter like Jeffcoat or Bighill to 49% of the reps. and they would have to sub in for a specific Natl. taking 51% of the reps. Unless the vet. is well past his prime like Charleston Hughes, he's not likely to accept a reduced role at a reduced salary. Maybe they could interest Shawn Lemon in such a role if nobody picks him up in a month or two. -
How did they come up with "Sea Bears"? Are they trying not to offend Polar bears???
-
Also add corporations off-shoring profits, so they avoid paying taxes on the enormous profits they earn. It would make a huge difference if tax havens were eliminated and the capital remained in the countries that generated it. Every 5 years or so the drumbeats of action are sounded, but they always fall silent without any measurable corrections taking place. Damn right the oil and mining industries should be nationalized, as long as the vast majority of the profits generated from these resources is siphoned out of the country.

That would be Schmekel, Sterling looks like a Willy prototype bodywise. -

I haven't signed up with TSN Go yet, managed to subvert the CFL.ca feed with a VPN for anyone else in the same predicament.

Anyone having luck streaming the Mtl./Ott. game? I'm receiving the message from cfl.ca that this game is not available in my area, only for US and Intl. customers. I thought they were making pre-season games available to everyone.

It would be nice if by the end of this season the future transition of the LB position is well defined. Much as they redefined the RB position before last season by preparing Brady to take over from Harris.

Dani explains this process very clearly, she frequently makes these statements in front of live microphones and yet people still don't seem to comprehend what she's directly saying. (Sorry can not embed video directly, maybe because it is from May 10? I dunno.) https://twitter.com/i/status/1656335790622883841 The keynote of this video is an appointed auditor, "The Alberta Quality Council" will determine whether existing organizations "can meet the terms we want them to." So....Preston Manning or maybe Jason Kenney plus 4 other political appointees will decide that the health care system has failed, they will then deal out the public assets to the parasitic vultures who put them in the position to make this happen in the first place. Got it.
