Bombers Rookie Camp/Training Camp/Pre-Season Thread
Fatty Liver replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
So now that Drew Richmond is finally healthy, what do the Bombers do with him? -
"America Decides" had to be the worst episode of Succession I can ever recall watching, they made the election coverage so real it was near boring.

You're more than welcome not to read my posts if they bother you so much.

Lord, I can't even begin to keep up with all the **** that's flowing in the last couple of weeks. This first clip is from yesterday, she intends to implement an Ab. police force, no question. The guy interviewing her is Vince Byfield, a well known zealot that happens to now be a director on the board of the UCP and the Take Back AB. group. Smith is accepting 6 questions in total from the Press. Order of outlets asking Danielle Smith questions so far at today’s press conference: 1. Western Standard 2. Rebel Media 3. True North … Pretty sure this one violates the Charter of Rights as did the electronic bracelet monitoring on parolees of interest, as you can't kidnap an innocent person off the street against their will and hold them in custody, even if it's for their own benefit. Shades of Fascism arising, who's next, political opponents? Pièce de résistance, this nutter is the VP of the Alberta Prosperity Project. Moderate Conservatives don't seem to be paying attention to what's going on behind the scenes in this election. If they get their foot in the door the next 4 years are going to be hell for Canada.

Must be thinking of someone else, he was solid in the game against the Lions, nobody got by him. -

Walters said he is taking a "wait and see attitude", he is not making any plans to implement the new ratio rules until he sees what other teams are doing with them. -
According to Wikipedia. As of December 2019, he is a radio host on CBC Music. Most recently, he joined Apple Music Radio as host of a Monday to Thursday live show. Kind of curious where Jian Ghomeshi ended up.

Thanks for the peek Ed, satellite footage would be more informative. -
Do these people know about the amazing **** you can find on the Internet if you search for it??? To think a few books on a musty old library shelf are going to mess with a child's sexuality is ridiculous. Look for a "Take Back Manitoba" organization to become a thing shortly.

Sadly you're right, the conversation among the hardcore Freedum riders rarely goes beyond hate, catch phrases, and fear mongering, there is no depth. This is not a group of people that normally follow news, politics, or world events, this is a congregation of individuals that sat at the back of the class and never once put up their hand to ask a question, mostly because they were never actually paying attention to the topic at hand. Unfortunately social media has given them a voice and a sense of community for their stupidity to multiply and double it's volume.

Craziness. Guess where? 14-year-old girl shot by neighbour while playing hide and seek on his lawn, police say. https://globalnews.ca/news/9684528/hide-and-seek-shooting-14-year-old-neighbour/

Wow, a recording by Hal Lone Pine, former Winnipegger and father to Lenny Breau. Randy Bachman has many stories to tell about growing up down the street from Breau when he was a teenager, and receiving informal guitar lessons in trade for hamburgers, you can clearly hear his influence in jazzier songs like "Blue Collar". This song is from 1950 and Lenny was born in 1941, he was a boy genius guitarist, but this may be from before he joined the family band.

As do the UCP, it's not like they don't have any principles!

"Libertarians are like house cats: absolutely convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand."

I don't know how much you're paying attention, but Smith isn't really a conservative, she's a free wheeling libertarian with ties to many far right wacko groups that would be happy to tear down all vestiges of the equalitarian society we've built in Canada. If you can't bother to do your homework, maybe don't bother to vote either. Here are a few links to organizations she has direct ties to, it'll give you a pretty good sense of the their true political agenda, and clearly outlines their full intention of establishing Alberta sovereignty. Are you good with that? https://www.freealbertastrategy.com/ https://www.takingbackalberta.ca/ Notice the tattoo on her forearm? It appears to be a recent addition, it is the Ama-gi symbol, which represents freedom and liberty, but it is also well known as a symbol that brands a libertarian as a member of the tribe. It's also the logo of this right wing think tank. https://www.libertyfund.org/ She has also proudly displayed a "Don't Tread on Me" sign in multiple videos, perhaps there's a rebel flag on the opposite wall??? A few days ago she made the following announcement, by no means is she finished with these ideas, she's just hiding them in her back pocket until after the vote. "United Conservative Leader Danielle Smith says she won’t be campaigning on some of her party’s more contentious ideas – sovereignty legislation, a provincial police force and an Alberta pension plan – ahead of the May 29 election." https://edmonton.citynews.ca/2023/05/05/smith-sovereignty-act/

No doubt, nothing good can come of it when the land is controlled by a few, we seem to be moving backwards in time in a negative direction.

Turns out the largest landowner in Canada is former Winnipegger Robert Andjelic, who owns aprox. 225,000 acres of farmland spread all over Saskatchewan. Previously Andjelic was one of Wpg's largest industrial builders & developers, until he sold those assets in 2007 and started purchasing farmland with the proceeds. https://pulpitandpolitics.com/2022/09/17/saskatchewan-farmland-new-serfdom/

Leggs should probably be happy if this turns out to be the case, still earns the same money but removes the pressure of making game winning FG's from his duties. -
Wow, what a disappointment, it sounds like they couldn't make it work with Costner to finish it up properly.

Here is the response from the Chinese Embassy, sounds like a threat to me.

No kidding, the guy responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths and casualties on both sides is whining like a little ***** about his personal safety. No fair!

Great interview with Lightfoot done by Geroge Stroumboulopoulos around 2016.

Not making any excuses for Walker but he had a traumatic childhood, he was overweight, had a speech impediment and was relentlessly bullied and beat up by schoolmates, needless to say that experience scarred him for life. He started doing push ups in the 8th grade and got up to around 2000 per day, along with 3000 sit-ups and 1500 pullups which transformed him into a physical beast. To say he ran "angry" is an understatement, he wanted to kill people. He got into MMA at age 50 just so he could legally beat people up, great athlete but probably not the best candidate for public office! There is an episode about his life on ESPN 30 for 30. This video is a good recap of that documentary.
