  1. It's already been perfected.
  2. Most of these statements seem to be made by people who have already benefited economically over their lifetime from the stability of the country and government they seem to loath. They fail to acknowledge that younger citizens and immigrants on their way up should also have access to the same opportunities stable government provides. In my estimation this attitude stems from greed and selfishness as a base motivation that often seems to be derived from an increased sense of prosperity. Poorer people tend not to adopt the attitude of disgruntled shitbags.
  3. The video below explains how the UCP board has been hijacked from the inside by the rural nutbars behind the "Take Back Alberta" campaign in order to force their radical agenda upon the unsuspecting masses. It's well worth watching if you want to understand how Smith was hoisted into position to take control of the province under the notion that voting for a conservative is always better than voting for the NDP. Basically I think it's come down to a segment of the population wanting the red-blooded American brand of conservativism, not the washed out middle ground presented by Canadian conservatives. I have little doubt the same tactics will be used by the Conservatives in MB. as a covert way to try to retain power.
  4. That's the thing, if there is no extra money coming in, I think a govt. should operate in "maintenance" mode, instead of making promises and spending money that doesn't yet exist. Nothing wrong with boring stability.
  5. David Perry Lindley (March 21, 1944 – March 3, 2023) was an American musician who founded the rock band El Rayo-X and worked with many other performers including Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Ry Cooder, Bonnie Raitt, Warren Zevon, Curtis Mayfield and Dolly Parton. He mastered such a wide variety of instruments that Acoustic Guitar magazine referred to him not as a multi-instrumentalist but instead as a "maxi-instrumentalist."[1] On stage, Lindley was known for wearing garishly colored polyester shirts with clashing pants, gaining the nickname the Prince of Polyester.[2]
  6. So despite their intention to show Natives in a positive light, the CBC were hypocrites by not finding a real native to fill this role.
  7. That's not a problem he'll just find replacements, and it won't change anything.
  8. Don't worry there is a proposal to raise the speed limit on AB. highways to 120 kmh, which if passed will help consumption from falling as it will empower yahoos to drive 130 kmh. to the other end of the city. They're also cutting the taxation on chewing tobacco by $10 million to send a message to everyone who is especially goodly. Also this. This is in Kananaskis. Peanut Butter Valley is an official OHV trail that also allows Trucks. Trucks registered on the road don’t pay any OHV fees. This is FREE There is NO Conservation Fee If you park on the other side of the road to go hiking, biking or skiing, it costs $95.
  9. I suspected it was based on a play, in a way it reminded me of "Death of a Salesman" in it's claustrophobic bleakness.
  10. He's inspired???
  11. Watched "The Whale" last night, amazing performance worthy of many awards. Brendan Fraser is quickly becoming a great middle-aged character actor, also loved his performance in "Trust", the series about the abduction of John Paul Getty III that came out in 2018.
  12. Furry Vengeance.
  13. The funny thing is the US stole this desert region from Mexico because it was basically under-populated. The chickens are now coming home to roost, and I don't think there is a viable solution in sight other than a drastic depopulation of the South-West, which would add stress to many other parts of the country. Realistically what could also happen at some point with unstable US government as it is, once Republicans are back in charge they just take what they need from whomever under the "America First" banner, and keep on consuming. That means we negotiate to their terms to supply them with water....until that also runs out.
  14. The implications described in this article should be frightening for all, they've been ignoring science and common-sense for well over 50 years, allowing the population in a desert region to swell to unsustainable levels and encouraging a city like Las-Vegas to grow without limitations. All for the sake of making as much money as possible from irresponsible water and land management, governments have done next to nothing to prevent this predictable catastrophe from happening.
  15. My comment was regarding the D-line as a whole not just DT, multiple problems appeared last year that have yet to be addressed. Kwaku Boateng could have been a good edition, he would have replaced Kongbo and is also good enough to step in for Jeffcoat, if he ends up on the 6-game injury list again.
  16. Good business practice is spending money where you need to, not where you want to. With Schoen coming back signing Lawler was a luxury attained at the cost of losing Bailey. As of now, they have Rickie Walker and the return of Hansen they can bank on, everything else you mentioned is speculative.
  17. Walters blew his wad on a wide receiver which really wasn't an area of dire concern, while obvious deficiencies along the D-line remain unaddressed and in fact have gotten worse with the loss of Sayles. Still time enough to shore up the D-line before the season begins, but leaving as is and expecting Ricky Walker to match Sayles performance sounds like a plan that will likely produce worse results.
  18. It could be a difficult problem to solve with no money to do so, looks like any improvement may come down to prospects brought to camp. I'm not convinced Ricky Walker can fill Sayles shoes.
  19. Agudosi is coming dirt cheap, I believe Bailey was already in the range of $140k and wanting more. As Walters said yesterday, with the money they paid Lawler it was going to be hard to sign Bailey.
  20. I'm mad they removed the perforated line from the middle of the box, you can no longer use the box as a bowl. Don't see many homeless people carrying around bowls!
  21. Sorry, read it somewhere but can't find anything confirming it either, it was a crazy day.
  22. He could get cut and be back with the Bombers in time for TC. Walters clarified today that they're looking for a 3rd down specialist to run special packages like Streveler, not a developmental QB.
  23. Not worried about any of this, as long as they re-up Walters at the end of the year.
