According to Geroy Simon Dillon Mitchell signed a 2 year extension with the Elks paying him $150K per season at the end of his rookie season. I don't know if Schoen is in the same situation but it gives an idea of what might need to happen if he comes back. The timeline is from Wikipedia. On July 29, 2022, Mitchell signed with the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Mitchell had a strong rookie season in the CFL, finishing with 35 receptions for 637 yards and four touchdowns. On October 25, 2022, the Elks announced agree to a two-year contract extension with Mitchell through the 2025 season. -

Good uncensored video put out by the RedBlacks recapping their 2022 season, the Marino incident takes over around the 5:30 mark and becomes the topic for the remainder of the video. Interesting to note that Masoli appears to be miked up for the Rider game, so speculation of what Marino might have said to him is probably not speculation at all. Unfortunately they decided not to include any audible ethnic slurs he uttered in this video. Masoli's cry of pain when his leg snaps is loud and horrific to listen to, that should have been enough to stop Marino's celebration dead in it's tracks. https://www.ottawaredblacks.com/2023/01/18/behind-the-r-season-2-ep-1/ -

They've done a great job of growing their own the last few years starting with Chungh in 2015, I believe the last O-lineman they picked up from another CFL team was Hardrick in 2016. Walters deserves a star in heaven. Makes the Riders hope of turning their O-line around in one year completely laughable, when they haven't planted any seeds in the ground. "Grass just grows Wilbur, it don't need no seeds!" -

I guess this signing puts an end to the "Desjarlais watch", even if he came back to the CFL Walters probably wouldn't want to sign him for the price he would be asking, as the need factor is now non-existent. -
Cause he's the ****** that got this divisive shitball we find ourselves in today rolling down hill!

I wish they would pick back up on the concept of CFL Week and run it along with the CFL Combine again, it was one of the better indicatives they came up with in the past 20 years and it gave the league and the recruits a bit of media attention during the off-season. -

Nah, he used every excuse in the book to sit out half of last season, finally settling on the excuse that he didn't know how to prepare his body properly earlier in his career. He only played again once the Riders moved him to their suspended list, not a FIFO guy. -

Two great interviews by Justin Dunk, O'Shea opens up much more than he usually does when talking to the media. -
I'm not sure who this guy is, but his series of short clips on You Tube are hilarious.

Still need more depth at Natl. receiver, one backup for 2 positions isn't enough, especially if there are long-term injuries like Woli suffered last season. BOLO has earned the right to start, but unlikely they're going to accommodate him anytime soon unless they play with the ratio, might lose him once his contract expires. -

It's also interesting that he chose U of M, when he could probably have signed with one of the two U Sport teams in AB and been closer to home. -

This might be the reasoning. "Head coach Brian Dobie credited defensive line coach Shaq Armstrong, who is Goods’ cousin, for helping recruit him to the Bisons." https://3downnation.com/2023/01/17/lamar-goods-highly-touted-son-of-former-cfl-all-star-bennie-goods-transfers-to-manitoba-bisons/ Article claims he's a native of Fort McMurray and played for Team Canada’s U-18 national team in 2018 at the age of 16, so he's a Natl. -
Guaranteed if they privatize segments of our health care system as Conservatives continually push to do, sooner or later money will begin to flow into deep American pockets and we will lose control of the ability to reform the system into anything other than a replica of the American health care model. That extra 5.5% cost in their system you noticed, is the wealthy getting wealthier off the pain and misfortune of others.

I'm sure Walters would prefer if players of that stature and longevity saw the end coming and stepped away on their own accord. Instead of the messy divorce he had with Harris were he had to throw him out of the house and change the locks. -
I don't understand how their population didn't decline under the one child policy, I guess they just didn't stick with it long enough because mathematically it should work.

We would also have to accept Europe's tax rates if we wanted a system comparable to theirs.

They also need more effective rotation for the Jeff's to keep them fresh and off the injury list, as a good pass rush is the foundation of a good defence. The DE's they subbed in last season were not effective pressuring the QB. The good news is Hansen should be ready to roll but If Kongbo isn't coming back, I'd like to see them pursue Boateng in F.A., he's coming off a serious injury which caused him to miss all of last season, so he shouldn't be expecting top dollar. -

Apparently in 2014, Odjick was diagnosed with Amyloidosis, a disease he says attacked his organs and his heart, hasn't been said but this is likely the cause of his death.

Always wondered why we accept bribery when it's labeled as "lobbying" when it's a prosecutable crime with a direct paper trail of evidence? The biggest flaw in government today is that wealthy donors, unions and corporations are allowed to buy influence with payouts and promises in order to maintain their position at the top of the heap, it goes against all democratic principles of fairness and equity.
