  1. The Lions still have Michael O'Connor, it'll be interesting to see if they have confidence to leave him as the backup or pursue another QB like Fajardo in F.A..
  2. I saw 5 protestors with signs on the highway this weekend, they say NO WAY you commie Lemmering!
  3. Hopefully he comes back soon, second year player means he has no choice but to return to the Bombers.
  4. Here's a link to his interview with Bauming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNa8fSeJOfQ&ab_channel=BonfireSports Sorry this is with O'Shea.
  5. Well whatever interest Ford has generated must have happened before last season, he only played one game and that wasn't enough to reveal much. He must have a damn good agent working on his behalf.
  6. Stetson Bennet just won consecutive National Championships for the Georgia Bulldogs, at 5'-11" 190 lbs. he looks a bit small for the NFL, but his game would be perfect for the CFL. Reminds me a bit of Flutie.
  7. Trudeau is setting Alberta up as the villain in election battles to come both in Alberta and nationally This is a bit crazy, Danielle Smith can't get a strong enough reaction out of the Fed. govt. to stir up the hatred of Albertans prior to the upcoming election, so she's resorting to creating fake animosity. Honestly the "hate vote" is all she's got. https://calgaryherald.com/opinion/columnists/braid-trudeau-smith-alberta-climate-change-action
  8. Big fan of Jim Gaffigan, this movie looks like it might be great.
  9. I dunno, you can't diminish Demski's sheer impact as a gamebreaker, other than Schoen I can't think of a current receiver that has his ability to score so consistently from anywhere on the field. Plenty of receivers are great at catching the ball and gaining an additional 5-10 yards including Lawler, but few can match Demski's ability to gain YAC once he's received the ball and none are better at catching the deep homerun bombs Collaros loves to throw. It's hard to justify paying him $50k-$80k less than top American receivers when he's a Natl. that will never look to the NFL to further his career, which should be considered a bird in the hand. It's true injuries and season stats. have not yet placed him in top 10 in many receiving categories, so I guess that works to the Bombers advantage in paying him less than his true value to the team especially if there is no Schoen. I'm thinking his market value is in the range of $185-200k, as there will be significant interest from other teams that drive up his asking price, even if he's ultimately bluffing.
  10. As long as they don't restrict school teachers to 5 round clips no problem, minor issue if there's a little bit of collateral damage.
  11. No "bad attitude player" is too bad for Jones to accept.
  12. Yah, somehow I don't think Demski is going to settle for $170k in what has to be his peak years, which may take the Bombers out of the Lawler bidding.
  13. If that's the game plan for the season it will last half of one game, can't run if the D already knows you can't throw.
  14. Losing Sayles would be a kick to the gonads after time put in.
  15. Trump is different because he's openly obnoxious, unhindered and obscene, but I believe the U.S. has always operated in this way, from the very beginning, it has been a society of extreme wealth flanked by extreme poverty. Slavery flourished for 250 years unhindered, establishing vast inequities that became entrenched and generational on both ends of the spectrum. Once slavery was abolished a vast influx of poor white immigrants were recruited to pick up the slack to fuel the fortunes of the ruling class built off of their backs. A nation established and driven by greed with no end in sight, as 95% of Americans still believe they live in the greatest country in the world. God help 'em.
  16. I was wondering about that, this season certainly didn't end with a bang like they usually do.
  17. Straight up confiscate the multi-millions that were donated to the convoy and apply it directly to the cost these protest caused, idiots have no clue the billions they actually cost taxpayers in lost business, disruptions and police OT.
  18. Interesting that Arndt started his Canadian career with the Fort McMurray Monarchs of the Alberta Football League, I've never heard of that league before, but I guess that explains why they have a half-decent football stadium up there.
  19. Quarterbacks coach Will Arndt leaves Ottawa Redblacks to resume playing career https://3downnation.com/2022/12/21/quarterbacks-coach-will-arndt-leaves-ottawa-redblacks-to-resume-playing-career/ Weird, but with the two new leagues opening up and a dearth of available QB's in the CFL, he's probably looking at the opportunity to prolong his career and increase his pay packet, as he's only 29. Can't say I can recall anything about his playing abilities.
  20. I don't know if these 3 interviews with a British reservist have been posted earlier but I thought they were very entertaining and informative explaining the situation on the ground in Ukraine from a soldier's perspective. Interesting that he estimates shooting people with personal weapons accounts for less than 1% of causalities in modern warfare, but considering the advanced weaponry being used, it totally makes sense. Being an infantry soldier on the ground has been a bad career choice since WW1.
  21. I have friends in Peru, the Americans have done this consistently over the past 100 years, I pay no heed to their criticism of Russia or any hypocrisy they spew when they habitually interfere in other countries affairs by promoting robbery, rape, torture and murder. The poorer the country happens to be, the better because they can't put up much of a fight. They are a nation ruled by serial abusers governing an impressive swath of imbeciles.
  22. Why announce this beforehand? Just do it.
  23. It seemed like Stern was forced out by the majority owners, it certainly seemed like he wanted to be involved with the team.
