  1. I'll tell you right now, they will never find another rookie receiver who can come close to duplicating what Schoen did this season, he's a one-off. Think about it, bringing in Brandon Zylstra would actually be a downgrade.
  2. Lawler signed for $300k last year, even at $200k that's too much for an import receiver when Burnham could be had for less. Save the kopeks and make sure Bailey and Demski get what they deserve.
  3. Without Castillo's 5/5 G.C. performance last year, the Bombers wouldn't have repeated.
  4. Keep em both, Jeffcoat needs to be retained to get the best out of Willie, unfortunately they did not get to play together enough this season, thus were not as effective as they could be. More important to find a 3rd DE who can also create chaos and spell them off. The return of Kongbo would be swell.
  5. Further to this, they lost Stove and Kongbo in the off-season and did not find adequate replacements, then they lost Hansen and Jeffcoat for much of the season, they tried Mack and Wilcots who only made an impact in the last game he played, before being traded to the Ti-Cats. They brought in Adams from Sask. who has yet to show he belongs and was unable to even dress today, and then Jeffcoat gets hurt again in the 3rd Q and they have no extra DE's on the roster and nothing left to replace him, or to rotate Willy out. It's a bigtime fail in the personnel dept. but an area that can definitely be upgraded in the off-season.
  6. Wowsers, just listen to these two talk, Peterson preens and pontificates like a prima ballerina and Smith goes on and on endlessly without a clue of the implications of her actions. Have to hand it to her, she lays it all out there with nothing to hide, it's up to Albertans to listen and decide their future, there is no excuse not to understand her direct motives. She once was a Fraser Institute apprentice, well what a surprise!
  7. I have listened to most of it, the only organizer that seemed to have a clue what they were doing was Benjamin Dichter, the rest are simpletons that just happened to be at the right place at the right time in an event that grew well beyond their control.
  8. It's the Dan Clark Show!!!
  9. Live on You Tube.
  10. Lucky Charms just found their new mascot.
  11. Rourke will probably make a virtual appearance to accept the award if he wins. From watching numerous interviews he seems like a humble individual and he has a great personality, the Americans are going to love him. Nothing fake about him.
  12. BLM said himself he'll wait till F.A. before making his decision, he wants to maximize his value on what is likely his last contract. I think it'll come down to the Lions or the Ti-Cats as he is only considering competitive destinations. While speaking on the Barnburner podcast, Mitchell said that he would listen to the Ticats' pitch, but still wants to see what other offers are available. "I want to hear their pitch and what's going on there, but what I said two days ago before the West Final is I want to go into free agency. I want to find out what the offers are," Mitchell said. "I want to find out where the coaches are going to end up, I want to find out where some players are going to end up and who is even going to make it to free agency as a player. At this point in my career, I'm not going to fight over a certain amount of money with a different team. It's more to me. I want to build on the legacy I've started."
  13. Sounds like he wants to contribute on the field and probably wouldn't accept the P.R. route even if the pay is better, surely one of 20 NFL teams interested is smart enough to step up and make him an offer. https://www.bclions.com/2022/11/15/season-wrap-up-nathan-rourke/
  14. On a Ti-Cat podcast the other day, Mike Morreale said the Argos were begging Ti-Cat fans to come to the E.F. game, even if their intent is to cheer against the Argos. 😄
  15. Sorrells also posted and later deleted the following tweets. https://www.riderfans.com/forum/filedata/fetch?id=919241&d=1667749972 https://www.riderfans.com/forum/filedata/fetch?id=919242&d=1667749995
  16. The same scenario in AB., Kenney begged the Feds. to send in the military to tow away vehicles blocking the border crossing at Coutts, that way he could point his finger at Trudeau and say it wasn't him who stepped in and ruined the party. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/emergenies-act-degrand-alberta-1.6644282
  17. Which dam is this?
  18. Better known in Sask. as the see-ment pond.
  19. Houston practicing, if he's ready to go they'll be down to one rookie in the secondary, Parker.
  20. What could go wrong with an outdoor event for disabled people scheduled for mid Nov. in Wpg., sound like pain and suffering will be intensified. "I can't feel my fingers!" "You don't have any fingers."
  21. Prepare to be disappointed, here's a precursor to the dreaded interview. The headliners were unveiled last night on CTV's etalk, and here's what the three artists think of headlining the country's largest single-day sporting event - the Grey Cup. Jordan Davis - "It's always great to play in Canada, and I can't wait to soak in the energy and vibe of Grey Cup," said Davis. "Canadian music fans are some of the best in the world. Playing for them, especially with Tyler and Josh, will make for an incredibly special night that I'll never forget." Tyler Hubbard - "It?s an exciting opportunity to be asked to play the halftime show for such a huge event like the Grey Cup. I love playing in Canada because the fans always bring a great energy to the shows, so performing my music for the country music fans and for the passionate football fans is going to be quite an experience! I?m really looking forward to being a part of this iconic event.? Josh Ross - "Growing up, football was everything, and like so many young Canadians, the Grey Cup was the goal. Injuries led me on a different path, and now, music is my greatest passion and the stage is where I'm living my dreams. So to see these two paths come together, and lead to Saskatchewan - life is funny sometimes, but it's also perfect." The 109th Grey Cup will be played in Regina at Mosaic Stadium on Sunday, November 20 with kickoff slated for 5 p.m. local/6 p.m. ET. The sold-out contest and the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show will be broadcast live across the nation on TSN and RDS - Canada?s home of the CFL.
  22. Vancouver is already expensive to eat, drink or sleep and it has nothing to do with the Grey Cup or the Canadian Country Music Week as it's always a busy tourist destination. I doubt bars, restaurants or hotels would take notice of either event other than maybe an insurgence of "hicks".
  23. Sask. putting on their belligerent hat to keep pace with the idjits in Alberta. They're threatening to change their constitution to protect their economic interests, ie. burning coal for power and saying no to the carbon tax. 2035 is creeping up on them and they haven't done a damn thing to transition to NG power generation, although they've had 50 years to think about it. MB. closed their last coal powered plant in 2002, Sask. wasn't even paying attention.
  24. Even with a miscalculation, who would pick Rutledge as an All-Star in the first place....except maybe Donald plus 47 relatives.
  25. Which almost narrows it down to LaPo or Khari as their two choices, since they already fired Maas.
