  1. This might be the reasoning. "Head coach Brian Dobie credited defensive line coach Shaq Armstrong, who is Goods’ cousin, for helping recruit him to the Bisons." https://3downnation.com/2023/01/17/lamar-goods-highly-touted-son-of-former-cfl-all-star-bennie-goods-transfers-to-manitoba-bisons/ Article claims he's a native of Fort McMurray and played for Team Canada’s U-18 national team in 2018 at the age of 16, so he's a Natl.
  2. Guaranteed if they privatize segments of our health care system as Conservatives continually push to do, sooner or later money will begin to flow into deep American pockets and we will lose control of the ability to reform the system into anything other than a replica of the American health care model. That extra 5.5% cost in their system you noticed, is the wealthy getting wealthier off the pain and misfortune of others.

  4. I'm sure Walters would prefer if players of that stature and longevity saw the end coming and stepped away on their own accord. Instead of the messy divorce he had with Harris were he had to throw him out of the house and change the locks.
  5. I don't understand how their population didn't decline under the one child policy, I guess they just didn't stick with it long enough because mathematically it should work.
  6. We would also have to accept Europe's tax rates if we wanted a system comparable to theirs.
  7. They also need more effective rotation for the Jeff's to keep them fresh and off the injury list, as a good pass rush is the foundation of a good defence. The DE's they subbed in last season were not effective pressuring the QB. The good news is Hansen should be ready to roll but If Kongbo isn't coming back, I'd like to see them pursue Boateng in F.A., he's coming off a serious injury which caused him to miss all of last season, so he shouldn't be expecting top dollar.
  8. From this... to this... She was hot, gotta get em when they're young.
  9. Apparently in 2014, Odjick was diagnosed with Amyloidosis, a disease he says attacked his organs and his heart, hasn't been said but this is likely the cause of his death.
  10. Always wondered why we accept bribery when it's labeled as "lobbying" when it's a prosecutable crime with a direct paper trail of evidence? The biggest flaw in government today is that wealthy donors, unions and corporations are allowed to buy influence with payouts and promises in order to maintain their position at the top of the heap, it goes against all democratic principles of fairness and equity.
  11. The Lions still have Michael O'Connor, it'll be interesting to see if they have confidence to leave him as the backup or pursue another QB like Fajardo in F.A..
  12. I saw 5 protestors with signs on the highway this weekend, they say NO WAY you commie Lemmering!
  13. Hopefully he comes back soon, second year player means he has no choice but to return to the Bombers.
  14. Here's a link to his interview with Bauming. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNa8fSeJOfQ&ab_channel=BonfireSports Sorry this is with O'Shea.
  15. Well whatever interest Ford has generated must have happened before last season, he only played one game and that wasn't enough to reveal much. He must have a damn good agent working on his behalf.
  16. Stetson Bennet just won consecutive National Championships for the Georgia Bulldogs, at 5'-11" 190 lbs. he looks a bit small for the NFL, but his game would be perfect for the CFL. Reminds me a bit of Flutie.
  17. Trudeau is setting Alberta up as the villain in election battles to come both in Alberta and nationally This is a bit crazy, Danielle Smith can't get a strong enough reaction out of the Fed. govt. to stir up the hatred of Albertans prior to the upcoming election, so she's resorting to creating fake animosity. Honestly the "hate vote" is all she's got. https://calgaryherald.com/opinion/columnists/braid-trudeau-smith-alberta-climate-change-action
  18. Big fan of Jim Gaffigan, this movie looks like it might be great.
  19. I dunno, you can't diminish Demski's sheer impact as a gamebreaker, other than Schoen I can't think of a current receiver that has his ability to score so consistently from anywhere on the field. Plenty of receivers are great at catching the ball and gaining an additional 5-10 yards including Lawler, but few can match Demski's ability to gain YAC once he's received the ball and none are better at catching the deep homerun bombs Collaros loves to throw. It's hard to justify paying him $50k-$80k less than top American receivers when he's a Natl. that will never look to the NFL to further his career, which should be considered a bird in the hand. It's true injuries and season stats. have not yet placed him in top 10 in many receiving categories, so I guess that works to the Bombers advantage in paying him less than his true value to the team especially if there is no Schoen. I'm thinking his market value is in the range of $185-200k, as there will be significant interest from other teams that drive up his asking price, even if he's ultimately bluffing.
  20. As long as they don't restrict school teachers to 5 round clips no problem, minor issue if there's a little bit of collateral damage.
  21. No "bad attitude player" is too bad for Jones to accept.
  22. Yah, somehow I don't think Demski is going to settle for $170k in what has to be his peak years, which may take the Bombers out of the Lawler bidding.
  23. If that's the game plan for the season it will last half of one game, can't run if the D already knows you can't throw.
