IF I'm scouting the games and I see a player who's taking plays off and doggin' it, because of their fear of injury.....he gets put in file 13 and referred to as an 'also ran'.......I'm sure most scouts would do the same and are pretty savvy

Nothin to do with us but I see a player on the Elks has requested a trade and wants to leave ...LB Kevin Francis wants out of deadmonton.....Jones won't accommodate him and says he expects him to be in the Elks lineup in 23'......Which brings me to the contrast of that club compared to us ....and right out of the gate....Players want to be here....the locker room is tight and the culture in Wpg. is like day and night compared to Edm......Advantage us and the bullets haven't even been loaded, never mind being fired in earnest this year.......Lawler was lucky to escape that clown show and play for a real team....Just a quick observation

AND the beginning of the end 0f the league as we know it.....You might convince some younger fans of today to go down that road BUT the older stalwarts of this league will probably walk away...No win there so if it ain't broke don't fix it....Of course there will always be room for improvement, especially in T.O. where there is the American wannabe attitude....Will removing the Canuck players and go with Americans placate and improve the situation there.....I doubt it ...They want the whole ball of wax and institute a full American nfl franchise ,so removing Canadians won't and doesn't make sense at least in that situation...As for the rest of the league....it ain't broke

Regarding retaining of draft pics.......I guess we've done fairly well judging by the talent we have retained and the Cup games we've played in recently....Facts and figures should ,such as this, equate to success on the field ....as that's what the name of the game is....Nice to retain all high level pics ....but if you're continually treading water as a club...what good are they....So many variables besides numbers

I hate to say it but too many of the well heeled corps....such as this is, the club just becomes a tax write off.....I wish it were much more AND it can be with the right owner and marketing....We'll see....Right now it's Quebecor that has stood up, maybe there's other people interested.....big maybe

I feel sorry for Bowness ....who had things going pretty good at the start of the year....I'm pretty sure he thought he'd get some backing for a playoff run BUT the gm didn't deliver ....The time was now when we have the talent to do something in the playoffs but Chevy couldn't get it done....Is it 100 percent his fault ....no....but the effort made was poor to nonexistent to give the current team a boost .....I have a bad feeling this club will now slip right out of the playoff picture AND if that happens a review of the club from top to bottom has to be in order ...IF TrueNorth sees no alternative but to keep the current gm in place ....then I don't like the future of this club going forward....Slip....slip slidin away

........Which brings us to, and I know this is hockey BUT why is an NHL team being considered in failed Atlanta before Quebec city......IF the Nordiques would've been marketed properly , I think they'd still be there....We need more Canadian teams than we do another American club.......Guess the powers that be in the nhl just can't wrap their heads around another Canadian expansion
