Dakota looks like his arm is up to snuff....pretty good actually....Working with Zack will certainly be a huge benefit ...and it's the stuff between the ears that's a real diference maker for a qb.....IF he attains that we could be in good shape at the back-up position....Don't remember his running ability ...so there's also that....Don't think he's another Streve but we do need a short yardage guy

I agree we are considered the 'place to be' in the CFL but it wasn't always that way....matter of fact we were once the last place CFL players wanted to go.....Great management has changed that and hopefully the Jets can also manage that feat....Just face it ...Wpg. isn't Van. with the views, or Mont./T.O. with all of their night life....we have a football team however with a lot of the talent in the league, built by our current management....Took a long time to get there and I think the Jets can accomplish the same thing....Question would be do the Jets have the right people in place to accomplish that now....I'd say no.....and that's where we need to start

Managing the cap in sports is key....The successful ones like Kyle Walters put together winners....I know football isn't hockey and vice versa BUT it starts with good people with vision.....Making hard choices like in the case of letting Andrew Harris walk is an example of foresight....The Jets don't seem to have that and it has eaten this team up....The Jets are looking at the bottom for a few years until we can rebuild the club to it's winnig ways.....Makes it harder when you're not on every players city of choice and 'go to' place and that's why having exemplary people in place at key positions in management is key...True North has some work to do

Talking burgers....I used to think that the Salisbury House had a pretty good burger....and Kelekis in the north end ...but then I'm from the Doo-*** era ....Went to an AW on Van. Island when I first arrived, and thought it had a pretty good burg....and noticed they had an old time picture on their wall of the first AW in Wpg. that I can remember ...It was in the lot of the old stadium beside Polo Park .....Wow...that's going back some...Is the Millionaire Drive Inn still in operation or the Dog &Suds on McPhillips....they also had a good burger going on back in the day....Gotta stop now.....getting hungry

Jim Van Pelt....the guy who took Ploen's job in tc ....This guy at it all ,until he suffered a shoulder separation against the Esks. (Rollie Miles) after he took a shot out of bounds....Walked away from the game and joined the Air Force....I was quite surprised when he made that call....guy had a great future in football

We got a glimpse of Jackson last year and until his unfortunate injury. he was really getting noticed... We had high hopes for this guy, and by the sounds of his eagerness, it's looking good and he could be a solid addition to the receiving corps

I think True North has to do a complete reassessment of the club.....Chevy has to go the way of Maurice....It's obvious to everyone that his day is done in the Peg.....When Paul M. left, the Jets should have finished the job....Get the right people in place and start the rebuild and I hope Chevy has made his last move dealing with player personnel

Doesn't sound good ....Dobson was our first rounder , that could be going up in a puff of smoke....Another league down south causing the CFL some deep concerns....I hope the buggers fold right out of the gate

True.....a middle aged woman from Van. did exactly that ...bought a character house on our corner with a double lot....She fixed up the one she bought, so that it's now worth over a million, and built a new character style house on the lot next to her ....Doubled her money....smart lady.... As far as a Family Dr. is concerned....if you didn't have one when you first moved here...you're out of luck....Ours just retired and we were told by the clinic that we better register with his replacement or start going to a general clinic........Getting crowded for sure

It seems a lot of us are a little skeptical about just going with Mourtada....and after last years performance it's no wonder.....Maybe Leggs has upped his place kicking game...He certainly used to have the leg, is why we drafted him....One can only hope

Yeah.....no kids cuz they all grew up and left....Used to have 2 incomes till the wife retired the day I did.....now it's just scrape buy on a pension...(I know I know ...at least we have one... I feel sorry for the guys heading into retirement in the future)...The boomers sure figured out (after we quit all the protests in the sixties) that you better start putting away cash for post working years....I guess you could say that now we're cash poor and house rich and staring down the marble orchard
