So does a poor showing in the playoffs orrrr out in straight games get you a ticket out of town??I would hope so....I think Maurice has seen his better days here IF that's what happens....in fact the whole coaching crew should be looked at...This club has too much talent to be floundering around against non-contenders like Ottawa and Van....what a pitiful showing....IF something isn't done we'll be taking up the bottom wrung...What a kick in the arse for the fans

AND other challenged clubs (cept' us cuz we're pretty deep) are just waiting it out to pick the Cat's bones......Too many of their talented crop will find homes elsewhere....Nice to have an embarrassment of riches...but it has it's pitfalls...In the end spreading the talent is very good for the league

The lunchbucket guys along with Helle won that one and clinched a berth....Wheels came alive and it sure would be nice to see him carry that play into the playoffs...Maybe we were just playing possum in the last 7 games....I don't see at as any ploy to chose who we're gonna face...cuz it really doesn't look like it matters much...We're going to be in tough whoever we play

I trust Kyle's judgement on Dobson.....I'm sure he's done his homework on his availability ...There are plenty of O Line guys in the states looking for work and they'll get priority....Unless he's super,super good I think he might be here sooner than you think...'The Roadgrader' ....I like his nickname

Don't see the need for O Line.....could use a D guy like Lokombo....although we have been burnt in the past by selecting players with Saskabush roots....(see Labatte)....I just hope we pick a quality future type

I don't know what's going on with Scheifele .....he definitely isn't playing the caliber of hockey he's capable of.....Connor looks like he's caught the same lull in his game as Scheif.....I'm sorry to have to say this but I think Wheels is done....He's slower than molasses and looks like he has lead in his skates...He's supposed to bring something special to the team according to Maurice....If it's just a solid anchor in the dressing room then I'm sorry...we need more than that...Below par performance isn't cutting it...time to move on....There's definitely something gone missing from a team that looked to have such promise a little while ago....Chevy and Paul better get together and figure out something pretty quick cuz this ship is taking on water fast

Maybe...just maybe we didn't do anything at trade time to improve the D....Other clubs like T.O. did and are going to bury us early...Unless everyone comes to play 99 percent of the time, this team is dead in the water....Lost three in a row now and this last one was a very bad sign of a team that just isn't good enough

The children of these vet. heroes (I call them all heroes for their dedication to the country) were subjected to the same 'shell shock' (PTSD they call it now)...The offspring carry the same traits as their fathers, another fact that govt. fails to recognize...I know my mother went through hell and for a young woman carried a heavy burden for a lot of years...War ruins and take lives, more than we care to admit

There are more tragedies that most likely never came to light after that war....Your friends father sounds like a repeat of mine.....Post war my dad worked for the federal govt. ran a dept. in the Unemployment Insurance office in Wpg. for years until the booze finally caught up....Our family really took a hit and ended up in emergency housing (Flora Place) when I was a kid....It was tough for my brothers and sisters to come out of that but we managed....It was easy to feel sorry for ourselves but we didn't...It's tough for me to even talk about those days and I can imagine what some families are going through now with this pandemic...Losing everything is tough but we keep on going...Hard life lessons are being learned now....BUT it well end....as that war did, and like I said before life goes on...................Back to football

My father turned to booze also...He was R.C.A.F. in the Battle of Britain from 39' on....I know what he saw and endured was most likely the cause of his alcoholism ...ruined the family and his life....Did we cry and give up ...NO....we sucked it up and survived.....Our neighbours at the time said he was termed .shell shocked' ...the term is now PTSD...BUT nobody ,especially govt. wanted to recognize it....This pandemic is a war of sorts....but nothing compared to the 60 million lives lost in that catastrophe...the second world war.....Life goes on

Boomers don't have to prove anything to anyone....never have ..never will...Speaking for my generation ,a lot of us were born to vets. from a world war....much bigger than this pandemic....The children born to PTSD veterans of that war carried a heavy load in the initial part of their lives....Looking back most of us have done well considering ...This pandemic will end....most will survive...including boomers....In the end and at present it starts with getting a vaccination...encouraging others to get it definitely helps AND ...our music is and was better than that rap crap

If the 'boomers' (of which I'm one and have had my shot) are walking away from getting the needle then they should be criticized ...No excuses BUT I know of a few that were given a scare, when the Astra Zeneca was being given a bad rap and I can understand their concerns...Now it's seems to have cleared the health regulators and I believe boomers are okay with it....Can't speak for everyone but I feel any vaccine offered should be considered ...just get it done.........Didn't like the term 'boomer remover' ,the early name given to covid... and now the younger generations are now finding out this thing doesn't play any favourites

Vaccine's...vaccine's ...vaccines is the name of the game....I'm hoping the rate of needles in arms jumps precipitously and we can start putting this pandemic behind us....Fans in the stands is key and with some sort of protocol adjustment this version of the season just might work....Americans saying today they are upping the supply of vaccine to Canada today...Anything and everything will help...Finally a glimmer of hope
