I think it proved that Jones is a great defensive coach and a pretty good HC... his skills as a GM, however... the results are currently speaking for themselves...

this x1000... the NHL draft is basically a crapshoot after the first few picks... if look up the guys taken between 13-24 in the draft the last 5-10 years and you'll basically see no correlation between the success rate at 13 vs the success rate at 24.... haha, yeah I'm sure that would go over well in Toronto... but I'd gladly take it

These two statements appear to be contradictory ... I don't particularly care about tonight's game... but I wouldn't mind seeing* Durant put up 400+ yards with 5 TDs and and about 50 on the scoreboard... *I won't actually be watching the game... so more like reading the boxscores...

I think one of the most disappointing parts of this will be the elimination of the "Local Sports Star of the Week".... that was a cool segment that featured a local amateur athlete who excelled at their sport... probably the highlight of most of those young men/women's sports career to get interviewed and get to be on TV... But hey, I want to know more about where Kyle Lowry is going to sign!!

Personally, I'd have Mike Reilly at number one, ahead of BLM... I think Bo is fantastic and would love him on my team... but I think Reilly has a better arm, more mobile (though that is starting to decrease with age/injuries), better improviser and is more likely to "carry a team on his back" so to speak... just my opinion... I'd also have Harris ahead of Messam... Harris is the better all-around back...

I actually like Neufeld as a game day 6th man... mostly due to his versatility and experience... also as the 6th man, he's unlikely to play enough to get hurt... but on the bombers... if we can get something in return, he would be a nice trade asset...

I think what people tend to forget is he is a blogger... he voices his opinions and is trying to get clicks... I read his stuff just for a different opinion on the game but I also keep in mind his role and appreciate that he's no insider or analyst.... that being said, kinda sad that 1290 could get no better than a blogger to interview?

Did anyone see the penalty on 3rd down that extended the game?... I didn't see it live and they didn't show a replay... I always find it suspicious when there's no replay...

I don't doubt your personal acumen... but unless you've actually been in the room with Walters and O'Shea, you have no idea if their "arguments" are actually head-butting or healthy debates... based on everything else we've heard, I would guess they are having healthy debates about every single player that comes through town... which is what I want from a GM and HC...

I ,too, always hoped Yantz would get a shot to make a CFL roster... but it's not like anyone else has signed him since his time here...

Lowder - I had heard he was having a decent camp... plus a TD in the game... Frederick - started half (ish) games at field side corner last year... I guess it was his spot to lose... and he did just that...

the CFL website had a 1 min recap that featured a Matt Nichols quote on screen for about 10 sec of it... pretty pathetic from the league... this was a pretty nice recap/highlight package for a pre-season game.... thanks for posting...
