I'm starting to think that way too... luckily by time the draft rolls around, we'll have a pretty good idea of Gray's status... if he's a late round draft pick and gets a signing bonus, he won't be in the CFL for at least 3 years...

I would say very... he has prototypical tight end size and pass-catching ability... however, how is his blocking? That, I don't know about...

I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned the questionable Sidney Crosby slashes in consecutive games... here's my unsolicited thoughts on it... I thought the one against O'Reilly was pretty dirty and unnecessary... probably deserved a fine.... I was ok with the one against Methot.... It was a typical little hack that you see dozens of times a game... unfortunately the result was much worse though.... but really, I'd attribute it more to unlucky contact than anything dirty or malicious...

You're kind of in the same boat as my brother in law... he is not really a sports guy but has started watching and cheering for the jets since they came back... and I would be willing to bet he would not have known that rule either... that's kind of what I was thinking with my initial post...

I think they do... maybe not all of them, but I know I've watched in the concourse before... the funny thing though, it's about 2 seconds delayed... so you'll hear the fans start cheering then I look up and see a big play... so kinda takes some of the intrigue away...

I disagree fully with your first statement.... but agree completely with your second statement... I think Hellebuyck has shown he has the skill but struggles with consistency... the more I think about it, the more I really, really, really would like a new coaching staff new year... If we can bring in a goalie to play 50-55 games and have Hellebuyck play the rest, hopefully with a new goalie coach, I think we may still have a future starter on our hands...

serious question (no offense intended)... are you new to watching hockey?.... a goalie getting a penalty and having the 2 mins served by a skater on the ice is one of the most basic rules that has existed for as long as I can remember... or maybe it's just something that's slipped under the radar for you... I guess it doesn't come up too often....

Since we're throwing suggestions out there... one of my biggest pet peeves that I've complained about for many years is how the jumbo-tron/announcer gets the crowd riled up when the offense in on the field... you know how on defense they'll have a player on the jumbo-tron to pump up the crowd for noise... they need to have Harris or Nichols come on the jumbo-tron and tell everyone "shhhh for the offense".... a big play happens and people are excited, which is great, but as soon as the huddle forms again, people need to shut up and let the offense work... probably about 2/3 of the crowd have no idea "when" to cheer... it drives me crazy when our offense is huddling and people start standing up and cheering... all it would take is a jumbo-tron PSA every now and then for people to figure it out (hopefully)...

Now I'm not saying this is a good idea... but I guess this would be the theory behind it... We trade Bryant to Montreal for Foucault... Foketi slides into his natural LT spot, Foucault starts at RT and Hardrick is the odd man out (PR if he accepts)... that would likely leave Couture as the 6th man... Again, I'm not saying this is a good idea, or we should make this trade... but if there were rumblings, this is how I think it would go down... of course, the biggest problem with all this is we have no idea if Foucault is a CFL caliber starting tackle...

I would love to see the jets win out... I would just hate to see that have an effect on the decision on our coaching staff... and it will...

If anything I would say the music isn't loud enough!... I like the drum line but as a musician, one of my biggest per peeves is hearing off-beat percussion... they should try to coordinate the drum line to add to the music playing on the PA... rather than just playing a random beat that is completely different than the PA song... probably difficult to coordinate that but just a thought...
