  1. Toronto now controls their own destiny... if they can tank one more game they lock up the 30th overall spot... which is all moot anyways... let's be honest, we all know Edmonton is getting the first overall pick again...
  2. It's not like Doug knows the CEO or anything...
  3. Also a good example of more is better with draft picks...
  4. essentially he says if the O-line plays better, Willy is kept healthy through offensive game planning, and the new guys fit in, the bombers will have a good season... won't find many people here disputing that...
  5. Just taking a look at the Bombers official site... looks like Greg Knox has moved to DB coach and Glen Young is officially the LB coach... no mention of Paul Boudreau yet... is LaPo as the WR coach confirmed?
  6. Jared* Goff... but otherwise you make a good point that I think most would agree with... the neg lists need to be public... there's no advantage to the teams or the players keeping these secret...
  7. https://twitter.com/BlueBomberTalk/status/715903258657558529 Is this an April Fools joke? Haha I never even thought of that... just thought "never hurts to have extra Cdns in camp"...
  8. I think you're taking this "bottomless pit of money" concept far too literally... however, you do have some good points about our continued mediocrity and the one consistent factor...
  9. my bad, I must have misread it... it probably said when he entered the draft...
  10. Read somewhere (possibly sportsnet) that he was 5'10, 150 lbs when he was drafted 4 years ago at 18 years-old.... grew two inches and 30 lbs since then...
  11. My thoughts on the republican national convention gun issue... I would feel much safer at a giant convention knowing not one single person (security aside, obviously) is carrying a firearm...
  12. I agree with you... I thought Jeremy Irons did a great job but he seemed too young and "hip" to be Alfred... he needs to be more of a father figure, like you mentioned... According to IMDB, he is not one of the confirmed actors yet... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0974015/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast
  13. I did... and wow, that "sport" takes ridiculous to a new level...
  14. The same sad argument people keep trying to use... fighting doesn't slow these things down... multiple game suspensions, ie multiple game cheques, is what will prevent these types of cheap shots... the only thing fighting does now is provide a little extra excitement...
  15. yes, I do remember that... but it obviously went completely over my head... I thought it was a different batman suit, it really made no sense to me so I basically just ignored it...
  16. It's rare that most of us can agree on something... putting aside one's opinion on whether they should have even been given a third year... we can all, more or less, agree that this is a make or break year.... if the team is not significantly better, it's axe time...
  17. Here's a review from someone who is not much of a comic/super hero fan... I've seen a lot of the Marvel movies and I saw the dark knight trilogy... mostly b/c they're so big in pop culture and they are entertaining for non-comic book fans like myself... anyways, here's my thoughts on it... - I thought Ben Affleck was good as batman... he's generally a pretty good actor so no complaints there... - I had no problem with Henry Cavill... I've always thought of superman a stoic, less dramatic character anyways... maybe I'm wrong about that - Really liked Gal Gado as wonder woman... The only thing I can remember her being in is the fast and furious franchise... and those movies aren't exactly known for quality acting... I thought she was good for this character... - Did not like Jesse Eisenberg... but I had no idea if he was portraying the character properly so it was hard to judge... For all I know he may have been perfectly spot on... - The movie felt really slow in the beginning (I literally almost fell a sleep a couple time)... but it redeemed itself with some good action in the end... - a few people have mentioned in this thread there are a lot of subtle references that casual fans won't get... I am one of those people.... I understand the references to aquaman and the flash, though I don't really know anything about these characters... a couple of you mentioned there was a reference to Robin... I must have completely missed that... - I felt the "rift" between Superman and Batman was forced... then suddenly they're best friends cuz their mom's have the same name?... Overall I'd give it around a 5 out of 10... kept me entertained but I'm not exactly on the edge of my seat waiting for a sequel... some back story on the other characters would be beneficial for us casual fans...
  18. sorry, that was an accident... I didn't even realize that happened... I downloaded the chrome extension from the Jon Oliver website (which I've since deleted, I just kept it for a few days to see if it works.... apparently too well!) cuz I thought it was funny and it must have automatically changed your spelling it in my post...
  19. The idea is interesting as a novelty... but for hardcore AC/DC fans waiting to see the band for the last time, this would be a huge let down...
  20. You'd have to think, at the very least, the republican party should be worried about the swing vote...
  21. I'm really disappointed we never got a chance to see Pantera with Zakk Wylde... which was rumoured after Dime's death and after Phil and Vinny made up... Zakk is one of the few people who could come close to filing Dimebag's shoes...
  22. If it hadn't been side-by-side with then "old" one, I wouldn't have even noticed a difference... even with the side-by-side it took a while to see a difference...
  23. I've never felt I relate so much to a parody song... this is brilliant, gotta love Weird Al... I fight every urge in my body to not be the grammar police constantly around here...
