  1. I actually don't disagree with KC's time management at the end of the game... by time it got to around 5 minutes left they likely realized there would not be enough time for 3 possessions (including the one they were currently on)... so rather than rushing to score and give the ball back they conceded that they would kick on-side after a score... that way it gives them time to effectively run the offense and ensure a score... they obviously didn't complete the on-side, so that nullified any plan...
  2. The problem is consistency... with all of our receivers... Moore was great when healthy... but that wasn't often enough.... he also struggled to gain any YAC... Denmark looked liked a top receiver every now and then... then disappeared for multi-game stretches... Adams also looked great in about 5 or 6 games last year... where was he the other 12 games?
  3. we would all be much less sour on the Taman regime if 2007 had finished the way it should have...
  4. Yeah it was Jackson, Williams, Ellingson, and Sinopoli... get your Ottawa free agent signings right! ?
  5. More important than free agency... we desperately need to see that this management team can bring in real talent from outside the cfl... otherwise this may be their last year... and I won't be disappointed
  6. Quite believable actually... this is rider fans we're talking about!
  7. yeah I remember that... our first year was 2004 and I think the tickets were around $50 for the season... perfect for a student budget!
  8. I'm not sure if a new thread is being started for the divisional round so I'll just throw my picks here: KC vs NE - I'll take KC b/c I like their defense... but mostly because I hate the pats and want them to lose no matter who they're playing (if I had real money on the line there's a chance my pick would be different)... Arizona vs GB - I like Arizona in this one... don't know if the pack will be able to replicate any offensive success like they did against wash... although I expect a closer game than their week 15 match-up... Carolina vs Seattle - this one should be the game of the week... probably the toughest to pick... I'll go with Carolina b/c I like Cam and it would be nice to see a new NFC winner this year... Pitt vs Denver - Denver has the best defense in the league... they'll be looking for revenge after Brown shredded them a few weeks ago... as long as that revenge is not focused on Cody Wallace I like their chances... Denver
  9. I am a St Louis fan... but since I'm not from St Louis I guess you could more accurately call me a Rams fan... so where they happen to play home games doesn't really bother me...
  10. My season tickets are in 203, row 5... just shout out bearpants next time you're there and I'll say hi... I prefer this view much better than endzone... I sat in the endzone at Canad Inns for 9 years... being close to the action was nice (especially getting a close up view of events like Milt's record setting TD)... but the view and perspective from the upperdeck is far better than endzone... We only sat in the endzone in the old stadium b/c it was the cheapest...
  11. Good for him, if true... but it seems more like Arash was just thinking out loud...
  12. Does NCAA count?? I'm fairly sure that's not a Herb Brooks original...
  13. You'd have to think the weather was a factor... the ball must feel a lot different in those conditions...
  14. Though I don't necessarily agree with this... the counter argument to that would be that it doesn't really matter any more what position your NIs are playing... the way players are developing and playing now, you don't need to have 6 of your 7 NIs on the lines... you find 7 good NIs and play theme wherever they fit best...
  15. I understand that the rule states that coaches (other than HC) cannot be on the field... but there were mitigating circumstances... how often do you see the entire team and all coaches on the field when a player suffers a serious injury... that being said, I do agree the refs should have removed Porter from that scenario... but ultimately it's on Pacman for using his mouth before his brain, like usual...
  16. A little early to be writing off Waggoner, eh?!?... Some people already forget Henoc Muamba was a STer in year 1, contributing very little on D...
  17. I actually like Bridgemwater as a QB... but I'm just not sure if he's the guy to take you to the next level... he's the kind of guy that will be good enough to get you to the playoffs... but not much more...
  18. Haha yeah that was actually the worst kind of typo... I meant to write "without" Williams... the run game seemed to do ok anyway... an epic implosion from Cincy sure helped them out...
  19. Thanks for the info... sounds like just watching them in order 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3 is the best way to go about it...
  20. Might as well come here for some opinions on this... I have never seen a Star Wars movie... no particular reason, just not a huge sci-fi fan... but I recognize that Star Wars is such a major part of society and Western culture... I have been meaning to watch them all for some time now so with the release of the new movie this seems like a good time to get caught up... So what I am looking for opinions on is what is the best way/order to watch them in? I have been told there is something called the "machete order" and I think it goes 4, 5, 2, 6, 3 and just completely ignore episode 1... anyone else have any thoughts on this?
  21. People who think the Texans will get killed or don't deserve to be in have not watched that team defense... yes they are more than just JJ Watt (although Watt alone makes a huge difference)... that being said, I'll still take KC... I expect Andy Reid to out-coach Bill O'Brien Pitt's offense is better than Cincy's D... which is still very good... x-factor will be if Pitt can get the run game going with Williams... if the run struggles they become one-dimensional... but I will take Pitt in this one Seattle should be Minny... cold weather game will come down to defense... Minnesota has a good one... Harrison Smith is a game changer.... but still not as good Seattle Kirk Cousins had been a top 5 qb in the league over the past 7 or 8 weeks... better than Rodgers... however the entire GB offense looks like it's in disarray... I was cringing watching that Sunday nighter last week... b/c of supporting cast and what should be fairly easy game planning, I will take Wash
  22. There's your problem... you can't take this game seriously... every year all the old white guys (aka hockey "traditionalists") are all up in arms about how boring and meaningless the all-star game is... and every year I would love to remind them... the all-star game is not for die-hard, old school fans... it's for kids to see their favourite stars playing in a skills competition and to attract a new audience... if you think of it as anything more than that, you will constantly be setting yourself up to be disappointed...
  23. I heard a laughable conversation that we may have a "goalie controversy" when Pav is back... as far as I'm concerned there is no controversy.... Hellebyuck is the best goalie, no question about it...
  24. I don't really care much about the all-star game... it's an extended skills competition... the format and player selection doesn't really change my interest... although I do like the 3-on-3 idea.... makes it exciting and trying to bring in some new fans... but someone really needs to step in a put and end to this Jon Scott joke...
  25. OK, let's take a shot... 1. Bo Levi Mitchell - young and great 2. Zach Collaros - see above 3. Mike Reilly - a winner and leader 4. Rick Ray - I think he's too old to be called Ricky 5. Drew Willy - wishful thinking 6. Trevor Harris - hard to say 7. John Jennings - seems to have potential 8. Hank Burris - would be higher if he wasn't 87 years old 9. Kevin Glenn - can still play 10. Drew Tate - good QB, seems to enjoy being a back up 11. Rakeem Cato - still a huge question mark but his pure skills are undeniable 12. Travis Lulay - may have some left in the tank 13. Matt Nichols - good insurance policy 14. Jeremiah Masoli - seemed to be the only Ham back up that made some plays 15. Brett Smith - potential 16-35. I don't know enough about everyone else on this list to rank them 36. Brian Brohm - easiest ranking of all
