RB/FB Christophe Normand (4th round, 33rd overall)
bearpants replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
gotta be fullback... 6'2 240 is not a RB in the CFL, usually not anyway... I remember someone saying in the draft chat that he could be a Rob Cote or Rolly Lumbala type player... which we need... -
QB Jordan Yantz (undrafted camp invitee)
bearpants replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
He's from Regina... which last I checked doesn't qualify as local... also he has the skill to be an actual QB not just a gimmick guy like like we had a few years ago... what was that guy's name, Rustin Doltz? -
How happy are you with Walters' Draft work?

Scott McHenry. boom - drops the mic Keenan MacDougall... he's from the stoon and always loved the riders... oh wait... -
Poblah, Etienne, Muamba, Mulumba and Pencer? My god what a cast of busts. One of the jokes about Mack drafts is he either picked players that were too good for the CFL or not good enough... this list perfectly exemplifies that...

I would have been happy with Waud/Richards... I'm not trying to bury Morgan or anything, I admittedly know nothing about him and his lack of name recognition is the only reason I'm sceptical about him... but I read some promising scouting reports and I liked a lot of the stuff I saw on his highlight tape... my only concern is on some of the plays he may have benefited from playing against CIS talent... Does anyone know why Maxx Forde free-fell (is that the proper past tense for free-fall??)... I thought most mocks had him in the 2nd round or so... -

I suspect once Hardy went off the board at 10 they didn't feel they could take that chance. You're probably right... I wonder if they de-valued Durant so much that they wouldn't take the chance that one of those two guys would be available at 15... -

Why wasn't "far too early to say" an option? I think what it really comes down to for most people... I know this applies to me... is not only did we not get Demski, but he went to the worst place possible... just frustrates me thinking of him playing in Green... any other team I can live with... -

I would have liked Waud at 11 and Richards is probably still here at 15... Morgan only makes me nervous b/c I'm never heard of him but hopefully he turns out to be a good one... it just seems to me like Waud fills a need better... giving us to option to play 2 NIs on the D-line in certain situations... -
Have to agree with this... if starting an American at guard solidified the o-line then sure... but they were still just as bad... might as well get Goossen some on-the-job training...

That's kind of a stupid system... Mtl gets a home playoff game despite an inferior record, gets the win, and still gets rewarded with the better draft pick... Don't you think I probably already explored that possibility... -

I have a question abotu draft order that I've been wondering for a while but keep forgetting to ask... based on the way the season ended, why is the draft order not: 1. Ott 2. Wpg 3. Tor 4. BC 5. Sask 6. Mtl I don't understand why Mtl picks ahead of BC and Sask even though they went further in the playoffs... been bothering me for a while so hopefully someone knows the answer... -
The reality is Taman did do this exact thing with the Bombers... but as we all remember too well KG got hurt and it didn't quite pan out... so if we were in the exact same situation now but had the 07 win, I'd be quite happy with the Taman era...

Greaves ? I would think if anyone Neufeld would be on notice, however I don't see any OL coming in and taking a starting spot out of TC except for the unknown ( Injuries , trades ) Personally I think it is pointless to take an OL at #2 they will just sit this year a possibly next year as well. All I'm saying is if Greaves and Neufeld are being challenged for their spots by Goossen and Chung... that's a very good thing... I think we can all agree on that...

I like Johnny Sears... some of his hits made me nervous... hope he doesn't do that to us...

I immediately just jumped over to riderfans to read the reaction... it's fun

Wait I'm still trying to wrap my head around this... Sask traded away the better player and the better draft pick?? I think someone already summarized this... but they essentially traded 2015 2nd, 2016 2nd, and Kris Bastien for a 2015 3rd, 2016 3rd and Jurgen Hus... Nothing against Hus, but this doesn't seem like good roster management to me... even if Bastien and Hus are a wash, they traded down in both years... confusing

Very happy about this signing...

Wondering is any of the big players from this site will be contributing to that site... by big players, I pretty much mean admins...

Kurt Goodrich leaves Bomber camp & quits football
bearpants replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Does he have a mental illness? Lazy? Can't commit? I can't comment any further as I really don't know. Just that he doesn't like to be out performed and has a bad attitude when things don't go his way. No idea what the reason is, and of course this is purely speculation. He may have left camp for a serious personal reason, for all I know. Why bother making all these posts regarding his character if it's "purely speculation?" -
Not to be confused with Hall of Fame TE Shannon Sharpe... Just wanted to make that correction out of respect to Sharpe...

Pav is starting to lose, back to Hutch ...
bearpants replied to IC Khari's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
the team is playing great and Pavelec is making the saves he needs to make... any stats, league average comparison, salary cap hit, and personal bias is completely irrelevant right now... "just [keep] win[ning] baby"... sorry Al, had to adjust to quote a bit... -
Interesting story... Is this the guy Mike was talking about a few months back?

So thats what its all about... great if you know you are going to get a call on the play.so in the original clip Sanders is the only one who stays still....and I guess we'll never know if there was a flag for offside, but it doesn't make sense to me why you would remain in your stance. Is there some rule/reason in college ball that says this is the action plan? The only problem with this discipline is it can get your QB killed if the play isn't whistled dead... I guess that's more on the refs though
