  1. Kyrie Wilson missed a ton of time in 2021 also... I'll say this again... I absolutely love him as a player, I think he was our DMOP before getting hurt, and I would maybe consider him our most important defensive resigning... but he's played 11 of 32 regular season games over the past 2 years... I'm not sure if that's a guy you can bank on to stay healthy... BTW, go back and watch the play he made in the 4th of the 2021 cup.... he's getting mugged by an O-lineman (which was actually called) and he still fights through the hold and reaches out to make a crucial one-armed stop on Don Jackson... an absolute thing of beauty
  2. was led to believe the injury was preexisting and got worse in game
  3. or maybe he shouldn't have been out there... not that I specifically recall him making any major mistakes... but I thought Houston was ready to comeback
  4. Wait... he thinks the problem is it's the Riders that won't choose Evans?? 😅
  5. Two players I absolutely love... but are becoming such a durability concern... Jeffcoat and Wilson... I'm torn on what we should do with these guys because they are so good and such difference makers... when healthy... and healthy is becoming less and less often the last couple seasons @Colin Unger mentioned that the defense changed when Jeffcoat got hurt.. and I completely agree... he was our best player up to that point and as soon as he went down, the D wasn't the same... no chance we give up that ugly 2nd 15 conversation with the right players in the line up... a healthy Jeffcoat and Wilson would've been the difference in this game
  6. ask them if they wish they were "lucky" enough to be the winningest team over the past six seasons with 2 grey cups to show for it... based on history, in another 200 years or so... they might catch the Bombers current GC total
  7. so what is the point of an option year?... in what you're describing, the team has the option to pick up his third year and follow the salary grid or decline his third year but then are hamstrung to sign him to the exact same contract... doesn't sound like much of an option...
  8. the media is already calling this the end of he dynasty... do they know Collaros is under contract for 3 more years?... do they know O'Shea and most of the core will be back for at least another year or two... with the exception of maybe Bighill, most players on this team still have a few good years in them... and Bighill is such a freak athlete, he might still be productive in to his mid and late 30s... this thing is far from over Is 3 championships in 4 years still a dynasty?... how about 4 in 5... I was about as angry/upset as I've been in years after that game Sunday night... just coming back to MBB now for the first time since Sunday... and now I want nothing more than next season to start so we can start to kick some ass again...
  9. I watched the replay a few times and I thought it looked low (which is a function of kicking longer FGs) and to the left... of course, I have no idea what would've happened... Leggs said he liked the kick and thought it would've been good without the block, but we'll never know... But for people who want to blame the block on Leigghio... are they also blaming the Hallett block on Bede or all credit to Hallett?... it works both ways
  10. If he commits to the cfl, I think they’ll sign him to Collaros money for three years, minimum… some people think that’s a overpay based on his limited résumé, and I agree… but they don’t want to lose out on this player and I wouldn’t be surprised if they made him the highest paid player in the league
  11. I agree with you…. no doubt there seemed to be some risk to him coming back so early… I just couldn’t say that definitively
  12. In defense of that person... he never said Rourke was fully healed and at no risk.... he simply said no one here really knows if he is at risk or not... which is technically true, despite all the evidence pointing to it being risky.
  13. did 20... I'm fired up now!
  14. ugh fine... how many??
  15. BTW... you know what's weird... I can specifically remember the 08 East final... it was against Edmonton and they were to first team to ever win a cross-over game... led to blowing it up for the Mike Kelly regime... fun times But the one thing I don't remember... is that the game was played on Saturday... If I was betting money on it, I'd have said it was a Sunday
  16. I like Saturdays better... opens up a better party atmosphere for the game (I know, tell that to the 31,000 strong in Winnipeg last Sunday).... but the biggest thing is if you want to try and get more eyeballs... why bother competing with the NFL??
  17. Lotta anger here... let's just go out an win the game... Going back to the first question of @bluto's post... I would be much more concerned going up against prime Doug Flutie and the 97 squad... even with the team we have now
  18. I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happens if BC chooses not to pick up the option year
  19. That's the difference between 2018 and the years since...
  20. there's definitely something to that... flip the script and the Riders are going for the third straight GC in Winnipeg (sorry... just needed a minute to stop laughing before I can continue this analogy)... you can guarantee we'd all be Argo fans for a week
  21. yes, they did... which is the best part about how terrible the team actually was
  22. Watch it again... it was none other than the goat who made the actual block... Wild was just there for the scoop and score
  23. maybe he signs somewhere where the QB1 isn't set and he has a chance to compete for it... I think that would be his best case scenario
  24. funny... I watched a bit of the beginning and Suitor had the RTK rule wrong during the broadcast... he explained the way we all understood it, as long as you get the ball first, everything afterwards is fair game EDIT: I watched a little bit more and two thigs stand out... again, Suitor clearly didn't know the rule... at the time of the ruling he was trying to justify it based on the timing where maybe the leg was hit before the ball was blocked (it wasn't even close)... a few mins later he pipes up to clarify the rule... clearly after someone explained it to him... And apparently the Bombers sideline did know the rule... during the review, they cut to the Bombers sideline and you can hear a bunch of people yelling "defense"... which leads me to believe they knew the defense would be going back out after the review. Here's something for thought... if that wasn't an automatics review, would the BC sideline have known to challenge to it??
  25. This is obviously purely hypothetical and mostly just a joke at the riders expense... but for a third string, short yardage guy at a massive discount (100k or less)... you could do a lot worse than Fajardo... that's said, I'd rather stick with Prukopp if he doesn't have other opportunities.
