  1. I guess no one told Mullinder he's allowed to tweet about football AND other tragedy's going on in the world... wild concept
  2. that was the joke...
  3. You've got one massive MFer in the middle that looked good... I think #94... he completely stuffed Oliveria on one play for no gain... get that dude more snaps!
  4. our most what?.... ....
  5. I'm just glad they got rid of him before he has two more chances to take out Collaros... I'm fairly positive no one wants that POS on their team
  6. this... ...and this... The thing that blows my mind about the Riders insistence on keeping him around... Marion IS NOT EVEN THAT GOOD.... When the player is exceptional... you learn to live with some of the bad because of the good (see: Lawrence, Simoni).... but when a guy does more bad than good... I don't understand how you keep him on your roster
  7. Based on his name alone... how is it possible LB Mack is not a middle linebacker??
  8. doubt it... he can't be neg listed anymore so he'd be a complete free agent if he decided to come back.
  9. lol... my first thought was what kind of ******* cheers for someone getting sick... then I realized... he tested positive... something finally positive 😂
  10. This doesn't make any sense... when Couture is back, he's playing centre... having him back will help both guards.
  11. just had to make a quick correction there for you 😏
  12. I don't know much about Robert Salah but he comes across similar to Mike O'Shea... more of a leader/general and culture builder type coach than X's and O's... defensive guys so rarely get HC gigs in the NFL now you kind of have to bring that type of leadership... like Belichick, Tomlin, or John Harbaugh. I read somewhere there is a shortage of quality O-lineman in the NFL right now... I would expect Desjarlais to stick around the NFL in some capacity for a couple years
  13. I don't understand why people who think a passionate owner is a bad thing... He wasn't around long enough to make any difference but I liked where he was going... Also really like the guy out in BC... the CFL needs more owners like that and less MLSEs
  14. Here's the funny thing... and everyone here knows it... if the roles were reversed, you would not be arguing this to death... you would say one call doesn't change the game and the Bombers didn't do enough to win... When the bombers win it's just non-stop "yeah but" ... and when they lose, the other team was better and anything else is just an excuse
  15. That might be a stretch… they still have the tie breaker on the riders… even if BC loses out (doubtful) they finish at 8-10 which might be enough to beat out the riders… it’s also possible the final two games against the bombers mean nothing for the bombers and everything for the lions
  16. The goal line ref actually did signal TD... probably just covering in case there was scenario where that was allowed to play out.
  17. I really think the difference is the mentality with this Bombers regime... it used to be that this game was "special"... and for whatever reason that always made the riders get up for it and the Bombers maybe tense up or just not show up (looking at you 2012 Time Burke-lead debacle)... this new regime doesn't care who we're playing, where the game is, or the significance of the game... it's prepare, do the work, go 1-0... every week... and that mentality is passed down to the players... this isn't some big rivalry game for the Bombers anymore... it's just another week working towards 1-0
  18. This has been discussed before... but that play Gauthier made to foil the Sask fake kick return in the 2019 WCF... was a huge catalyst to the Bombers winning the cup that year... the winds were changing in that game and if Gauthier doesn't make that stop... the Bomber might not win that game
  19. I'm going to give a HH shout out to Shane Gauthier... Someone mentioned in the gameday thread that he probably shouldn't be out there on D... and I actually agree... but that sack he made late in the fourth quarter was a huge play and killed any momentum the Calgary offense had
  20. further to this... I did some reseacrh because I was curious: above the passers should would indicate neck or shoulders... so by rule, WJ's RTP call was garbage Article 5 — Roughing The Passer Because the act of passing puts the passer in a particularly vulnerable position to injury, special rules against roughing the passer apply. Once the ball is released, defensive players must avoid all unnecessary contact with the passer. A player shall be penalized for any act of Unnecessary Roughness to the passer, including but not limited to: Contacting the passer in an unnecessary manner, including stuffing him to the ground, violently throwing him to the ground, and landing on him with most of the defender's weight, Any blow above the passer's shoulder, All rushing defenders must attempt to avoid forcibly hitting a passer in the pocket, at or below the knees, either if their path to the passer was unrestricted, or if they are coming off a blocker, Attacking the passer who, after releasing the ball, is either standing still or fading backwards and is obviously out of the play and remains out of the play, When the quarterback slides feet first, all unnecessary contact must be avoided. The slide must be done in a timely manner to allow the defence to avoid such contact. Contacting the passer if either the initial source of contact, or primary source of contact, is the defender's helmet. above the passers should would indicate neck or shoulders... so by rule, WJ's RTP call was garbage... only way it would be the right call is if it was late (it wasn't) or he hit the head (he didn't)... that probably would've been an easily winnable challenge I was thinking/guessing that Taylor was probably directed to give up the single if it looked like he was going to be pinned within the ten yard line... O'Shea loves field position... of course, in the end it didn't matter... but it would've been frustrating if Calgary had one last shot at a FG down only 2 instead of 4.
  21. Is that the rule?? I thought it was head or neck... don't the guys wear shoulder pads for a reason?
  22. curious thought.... BLM has been on record saying he wants to finish his career in Calgary... If Cgy mgmt goes to him in the offseason and says Maier is our guy going forward but we'd love to have you on as a back up at, let's say 200k... dose Bo go for it or does he decide to play somewhere else for starters money?... He could probably get paid like a starter in Toronto, Ottawa, or even Sask or Hamilton
  23. I don't know specifically the situation you're talking about... but it sounds more like they were celebrating a sack than celebrating an injury... I know a lot of these guys are classless but there's a good chance they wouldn't have know he was hurt until well after the play... then again... I didn't see it so maybe you're right
  24. In their defense... at least they did something about it for once... instead of just sweeping it under the rug, like they normally do...
  25. About the O-line... we've talked about Tua Eli a bit around here... I would have to guess he's moved away from football (or is there still a travel ban on unvaccinated?)... otherwise you'd think he would be on a roster somewhere.... another guy from the "where are they now" file is Cody Speller... according to cfl.ca he's a FA and still only 28... I wonder if he's moved away from football at this point.
