  1. So Bowman signing with the Elks was just a really, really long one-day contract type of situation...
  2. I have mixed feelings about this game: 1. the Jets ****-kicking Vegas is ever so satisfying 2. If Vegas misses the playoff while being 10M over the cap... LOL all day long and they can F*** off 3. Though I would never cheer against the Jets, I don't mind seeing them lose to sell at the deadline. 4. I just don't see how it benefits the Jets long term to hold on to Copp and Stats... only to finish 9th in the west this year (or 8th with the prize of 4 games against Colorado)... I'd rather see those guys get traded and have assets to show for them since they are both extremely unlikely to be back next year... 5. Keeping them to fight for a playoff spot just helps the Jets remain a middling team
  3. two hours eh... should be a great 20 minutes of content
  4. Welcome... if you're ever looking for insightful, unbias analysis that you want to feature on the pre-game show.... you probably won't find it here 😂
  5. https://3downnation.com/2022/02/23/why-canadian-ol-liam-dobson-getting-drafted-by-the-usfl-is-a-big-deal/ this is interesting... assuming the USFL doesn't fold... it could be two years before we have a chance at Liam Dobson
  6. I think this is a good hire... I've always thought by rider media standards, he managed to stay fairly impartial.
  7. sounds like a good one... I'll fire this up on my next long drive (next week). Thanks!
  8. No doubt Fajardo is massively disrespected here... I don't think the guy is a superstar... doesn't throw well enough for that... but if you surround him with the right pieces... you can absolutely win a championship with him... unfortunately for Sask, they don't have the right pieces
  9. based on what some other previous/current Rider media is like... Taylor was extremely impartial... The bolded statement is impossible... there will never be another Bob and we should not ever expect there to be... he is a legend that will forever be unmatched... we're lucky and thankful that we got him for so long.
  10. So basically you're confirming that only Calgary and Montreal have reliable back up QBs
  11. Why does this name sound familiar? Has he been in camp before?
  12. I'm not sure what the problem is... Prukop is not an overwhelmingly exciting QB prospect... but he has CFL experience and fits under the cap... that's about as good as we could've hoped for. Let be honest... no matter who the back up is... if we lose Collaros for an extended period of time... it's going to be much tougher to compete.
  13. At least they were smart enough to build out the lines... and not invest all their money in receivers.
  14. It almost seems like everything Chris Jones is doing is just one big joke at this point...
  15. I love that the bombers are locking up the "secondary core" of players to two year deals... by "secondary" I mean, behind the primary core, not defensive back field... Nichols, BA, Augustine, Brady, Gray, Woli (probably a few I'm missing)
  16. But remember... we have an elite QB now... in previous years we had a good QB or a questionable QB... having an elite QB behind elite protection makes any receiver and RB better
  17. Is it not possible for a player to improve over a year or two?? He's still only 25 years old (26 soon)
  18. well so much for the dream of him coming back
  19. I think some players are an exception... Now I fully hope and expect to beat the Argos when we play them next year... but I can't ever see myself cheering against Harris or considering him "the enemy"... I'm placing my flag down now... if the Bombers are not in 2022 Grey Cup game and the Argos are... I know who I will be cheering for in that game.
  20. There's been a lot of chatter around here about our 2021 draft pick Patrice Rene... what doe we know about this guy?... is there any chance he gets NFL interest?... Or do we think there's a good chance he's in camp this year??
  21. Some people are trying to make the Harris situation a little too black and white... it's possible neither side is really "at fault" and this was just the only result for both sides... Harris still wants to play, be the lead back, and get compensated fairly... The Bombers want to start transitioning to the younger backs and only have a limited amount of dollars to spend at RB... so this was just the result that worked best for both parties... Harris will still live in Wpg after the season and be a brand into the future... he's just going to finish his CFL career with a year or two in Toronto.
  22. you can't* always get what you want... but if you try some times, you just might find... another Winnipeg running back who has great potential... I think that's how the song goes
  23. True... but let me list a few names to make you feel better... Bryant, Collaros, Hardrick, Bailey, Bighill, Jefferson, Jeffcoat, Rose, Neufeld, Oliviera... feel better yet?
  24. Like many here... I came to accept over the last couple days that Harris would not be back in blue and gold... this is almost a relief that he won't be wearing puke green and showing up for the banjo bowl.
  25. I believe someone reported he was leaning towards retirement, can't remember who it was... it's a good idea if he were close to healthy... but I think he's physically done now
