I remember exactly where I was when that play happened... I was at a friend's house watching the game... I actually got up to leave but thought "f-it, I'll just watch this final play anyways".... so I was literally standing in the doorway of his basement entrance when the play happened... excitement ensued....

It's one of my pet peeves that some people just try to make anything and everything political... Dave Naylor was wrong about the CFL/XFL merger... what does that have anything to do with his political stance?... how does one even know Dave Naylor's political stance? (I suppose it could be obvious if you follow him on social)...

I really don't understand either extreme in his evaluation... I think he's a serviceable QB you can win with if all the other areas of your team are clicking... somewhere between automatic MOP and complete bum (which seem to be the only evaluations of him out there)

I'm a little concerned about losing one of the best LS/Kicker combos in the CFL over the past decade... but they got us a cup and they were both bound to move on at some point... I do hope there's more than one kicker at camp...

I also thought it was strange they didn't mentioned how a guy from Illinois who played most of his college and pro career there... ended up with a girl from Winnipeg... in case anyone is curious... I counted and there are 27 players listed as CB or DB currently on the roster.... your estimate was close...

I think you're just assuming that he is "being given the job"... we're still a month away from camp and could easily have another kicker or two by then...

Almost every team has the "we're in trouble if our starter gets hurt" issue... it's a concern, but not something I get too worked up about... "next man up" is how stars are made... we're just waiting for ours to come one of these days....

If you watch the video, the mostly compliment the Bombers... the whole "abdicated the cup" feels very tongue in cheek... any Bomber fan getting worked up over that video... is just looking for something to complain about...

I don't think it has anything to do with Ottawa, specifically... it's just very odd that there's two games against Tor and Mtl but none against Ott...

There's certainly been some ugly weather games in Green Bay and New York late in the season... I don't love the idea of a -30 Grey Cup... but if a run-dominant Bombers team is playing, I could probably live with it

not to mention the majority of the solid fan bases in the three cities you mention are getting up there in age...

Correction here... it's not that they weren't allowed to play on the American teams.... there was just no minimum Cdn player requirement.... i.e. the ratio.... Unless I'm mistaken... then someone please correct me...

just pursuing the Bombers line up... the only hole I really can see right now is maybe depth at DT, LB and Canadian WR... maybe they're hoping the camps bodies will take care of DL and LB... O-Leary-Orange and Bockru are the only Cdn back ups right now but I wouldn't be surprised if they add another in the draft... Looking like a pretty solid off-season for the Bombers...

The ball was about 5 yards overthrown... uncatchable... zero chance Evans is catching that ball if he stays upright... I agree with the general sentiment... the refs didn't "decide" the game... but there were plenty of questionable calls that could have made a difference... ultimately the Tampa D was too much, they essentially shut down the best offense in the league and that was the difference in the game...

I could see the Bombers looking for depth at DT... not necessarily a big splash... I think Stove is ready to take over from Nevis as the starter and he be complimented by a FA signing or a new guy in camp...

This is why I was always under the assumption Harris would stay... I think the Bombers were definitely going to offer something... but maybe it's at a lower rate, say 150K (reports are he signed for 175)... was Harris really going to pack up and move to Ottawa (for example) for an extra 25k?... I highly doubt it...
