If Ryan could kick FGs even at 80-85%... he'd be worth 200k... I believe it was reported he was making around 175k... so the way I always look at it is we're paying around 75k for an average punter and around 100k for the most accurate FG kicker in the league... seems like a good deal to me...

Who am I excited to see... Am I allowed to say Bighill??... I know we watched him be the best defensive player in the league last year... MLB has always been my favourite position to watch... and I'm so excited to see him play again!

This is actually not AS ridiculous as it sounds... it would basically only apply in the unlikely scenario that the QB throws the ball and it gets batted back to him... the QB would then still have the option to throw... according to the article...

This is an interesting idea... Brian Dobie is known as a great recruiter... "where they play" might be more beneficial to the Bombers than where they were born/developed"... but then again, Bombers, Stamps and Esks would be the only teams with one "big school" to choose from... seems like a disadvantage...

I'm glad we didn't... Walker is great but 285 for a receiver is pretty excessive... especially with no guarantee of success... or a healthy season...

Looking at this... I'd like to see an couple upgrades to our Canadian content... ideally someone like Ackie and probably a couple draft picks ready to contribute... Maybe someone like Filer to add experience to the O-line... and obviously we could use some help at receiver.... overall not too many holes

The numbers on some of the FA receivers are pretty steep.... Ellingson 250, Walker 280, Posey 200... I guess I see why Walters stayed away from some of these guys...

Walker would've been a nice addition... but realistically for 280K you can probably get 2 good receivers... I guess he figured the playoff money would be easier... 5 wins gets you second place in the east and it'll probably take 12 in the west...

Realistically what are his options? BC - no money left (at least not enough for a high end receiver)... Edm - Been there, done that... Cgy - they don't sign FAs... Sask - if he wants to be a celebrity in that town and lose consistently for the foreseeable future... that's a nice option... Wpg - Legit cup contender with interest and a QB he's familiar with... Ham - They're pretty much set at WR... actually, their pretty stacked: Tasker, Tolliver, Banks, Addison, Saunders... but technically still an option... Ott - they should have the money available and need receivers... They're should be in the running... Tor - in the running.... he has history with Franklin too... but not a lot of success to look forward to... Mtl - technically might be an option but again... how much does he want to win?
