talent being equal... completely disagree... you can be "hugs" off the field and be a "thug" on the field... two perfect examples: Adam Bighill and Mattias Goossen...

Murphy has shown to be a strong personnel guy... as long as he has someone credible to reign him in... he was most successful under Huff, because Huff would keep him in his place...

That's very true... but remember the XFL will be taking place in the NFL off-season... so people might come out just to watch some football to tide them over til training camp...

I would say let's just assume Bighill is not resigning... that was if he does go to BC, we will already be emotionally prepared... if he stays here, it will feel like a bonus... win-win!

why would they go in mostly (I almost said '"all" as seeing St Louis still seem natural) NFL cities... you would think they would target other cities, like the AAAAAAAAF...

I would think BC would pass on Elimimian if they signed Bighill... assuming Solly is a FA...

That was kind of my first reaction too... I felt bad but also thought he wasn’t deserving... as I’ve said before, I think loffler is a good player and someone I’d like to keep... I don’t see him as irreplaceable...

I have felt that way for a while too... my biggest reason is that he absolutely cannot win contested balls... they call them 50/50 shots.... Derel Walker wins them at a 90% rate... Darvin wins them at a 5% rate (that might be generous)...

Anyone who wants to throw out Matt Nichols now must have a very short memory... Let me tell you about the story of a man named Kevin Glenn... hhe once patrolled the line of scrimmage for the Blue and Gold... while not the most prolific passer in the league, he produced wins and gave the team a chance... Then one day an intrepid young traveler by the name of Michael Kelly rolled into town and proclaimed "I possess the next great CFL QB and I will toss aside this productive, yet underwhelming, QB in his favour"... and then the Bombers proceeded to toil the deserted island of misfit QBs for the next 10 years... meanwhile this former "not good enough" QB continued to have success at every stop along the way... Moral of the story... while I agree that Nichols may not be a superstar.... he is the best option we have had since Mr. Glenn and we should absolutely not get rid of him until we know, unequivocally, that we have a better QB ready to go...

??? Do you work for Argos management?.... there's no possible way you could have any knowledge of who they are considering in their HC search... just b/c you don't like the guy doesn't mean no other team is willing to give him a job...

Dan Federkiel comes to mind too... Ben Hennan chose to take up farming full time rather than come back to play in the CFL... but of course that was after he exhausted his NFL opportunities... realistically LaBatte could just have more desire to keep playing as long as he can... but I doubt he's choosing farming over NFL and playing in the CFL for fun...

well... I didn't know that... now I hope he sticks around our league... and on this earth... for a very long time... I'm guessing they did a pre-game special on him... but I don't typically watch those things...

IMO, this would be a huge loss for the CFL... there are not many potential up-and-coming super star coaches in the league right now... hopefully he sticks around our league...

I'm kind of on the fence with Loffler... at the right price, he's a nice player to have back there... but I definitely don't view him as irreplaceable... I suspect Walters will try to retain him but will have a limit on price...

I personally think the "28 years" effects only the fans... I don't any of the players care the we haven;t won the whole thing in a long time (maybe other than Andrew Harris)... all they care about is winning now
