  1. I don't understand the point you're trying to make here... Are you suggesting the Bomber should just pay him whatever he wants, regardless of value and SMS?... I'm not sure if 250k is a number that someone made up on this site... but if that's his number, I doubt he gets that anywhere...
  2. With Singleton in the NFL... who is ahead of Bighill??
  3. hopefully in 10 years from now... Walters and O'Shea will be worthy of this list...
  4. well isn't hat convenient... got a nice trip to Vienna on the CFL's dime...
  5. It is nice to have a bunch of options to pick from... but the reality is this could've been a two person poll and no one would've complained...
  6. I already forgot the Riders brought in Vince Young a couple years ago.. the biggest surprise was that it was to play QB... and not tackle, as one would've expected...
  7. Sounds like something a Shelbyvillian would say...
  8. who need cover guys when you can get to the QB in under 2 seconds!...
  9. I'm also a little surprised about that... I thought he might look for a job where he's the back up with a shot at becoming the starter... something like Miami or Jacksonville... or Tampa probably falls into that category too, since I'm on a Florida roll here...
  10. I think another factor is that in those days we had to basically beg (overpay) players to come here... things have changed now...
  11. I've said before that Loffler is a nice player and I'd like to see him in blue and gold next year.... but 200K is ludicrous... if that's his "starting point"... thanks for the years Taylor, good luck with your next team...
  12. first reaction was shock and disappointment... but not surprisingly, Mr Goossen leaves with class and plans to move on to a very respectable career... I can't help but feel good for him to move on while still healthy and able to pursue life after football... Good luck to Mattais in his future...
  13. I think you may have missed how much sarcasm was dripping from that post...
  14. I know you;re posting this as second hand news... but this honestly sounds like the biggest load of BS surrounding this entire story...
  15. I think if I had to choose between dressing DD at QB for one game and dressing MOS at LB for one game... my preference would be the latter...
  16. obviously none of us know how this actually went down... I'm not going by what "rider supporters claim", I'm going by what Dave Naylor reported... and I consider him a reliable source... but I did say I was skeptical that is came together as quickly as Naylor describes...
  17. It;s fun to rip on Jones and the Riders for the way this all went down... but the more I think about it, and after hearing Dave Naylor explain it... I don't blame Jones for the move he made... According to Naylor, the situation developed quickly: the Browns requested the interview Monday morning and he was hired by Tuesday afternoon... so when he signed the extension, he had no idea (apparently) that this job might be coming... and the club did agree to give him an out for an NFL opportunity... so really you can;t blame Jones for taking a chance to jump at the NFL... you never know when that opportunity might come again... My only skepticism might be if he had been speaking to the Browns and knew something could potentially come about.. and didn't tell the Riders... and still signed the extension... that would be a dirtbag* douchebag move... *if you're a fan of Brooklyn 99... you'll know that "dirtbag" is actually a compliment...
  18. wow... this is almost so pathetic.... it's impressive... I'm sure Kerry Joseph is available somewhere too... That would be amazing if he became a homer shill for the Stamps... just imagining how much the rider fans would lose it makes me happy...
  19. I wonder if Marc Trestman might be on their radar now...
  20. while I certainly agree with you that Vancouver and Edmonton are much nicer cities than Regina... when comparing football stadiums... Sask blows those other two out of the water...
  21. this, in no way, circumvents the cap... it's not like the Bombers are paying him for his second job... Wade probably just knows a guy in the industry and gave a glowing review...
  22. I'm pretty sure the only HC currently in the $10M area is Jon Gruden (2.5M per win)... but the top end guys would be in the 5-8M range... which is certainly a nice little payday..
  23. It literally never occurred to me until this very moment that polo park was named after... an actual park for playing polo... very cool...
  24. I meant as far as getting all the attention and DMOP nomination and such in2011... nothing to do with the vote...
  25. the return stats certainly didn't hurt his case either... but I always believed that Hefney was the better player when they were both in their prime...
