  1. Good point... I was thinking more from a talent/experienced back-up perspective... if he is getting on people the second Nichols makes a bad throw, he'd had no place in the Bombers locker room....
  2. I'm not old enough to remember the glory days you speak of but I have very fond memories of the groups of Stegall, Simon, Bobby Gordon, ABIII of the early 00s.... then a few years later with Milt, Edwards and Armstrong... those were some amazing groups....
  3. I don't think enough people appreciate how valuable Flanders is in this offense... everyone keeps mentioning losing Adams (which is obviously huge too)... but I think our offense runs best around Adams, Flanders and Harris, with Dressler as the 4th option...
  4. I would be fully on board with Jim Barker as Kyle Walters' right hand man... we know that would only happen with the agreement that Walters "call the shots" with Barker and O'Shea having input... if it wouldn't work this way, it would never happen...
  5. I think Edm is currently on a 4-game win streak... I think being around the noise of the arena would be a better indicator of how is head is doing...
  6. That game wasn't even fair.... though in hindsight, I am fairly impressed that a team coached by Jim Daley and QB'd by Reggie Slack even made it to the Grey Cup
  7. So, not that I really want to get in on this pissing match... but I am very curious to know what your definition of "shitkicking" or "rout" is... if Medlock makes the last kick... these stats are still exactly the same... so is it still possible to get shitkicked and win?...
  8. I'd be on board with this... at the right price...
  9. Good point... the esks surely have no issues losing to sask...
  10. I agree with you that the trolls are always buzzing after a loss... but my concern with the tram right now is this isn't just one loss and one bad game... it's now 4 consecutive terrible games by this team producing a 1-3 record... last good game the bombers played was in Edmonton... we're currently stumbling into the playoffs and that shouls be concerning to everyone... I appreciate that injuries play a major factor... but of we can't survive a few injuries and keep playing at a high level... it shows we're severely lacking depth... but as mentioned earlier I don't believe Walters and Osh should be fired... or even feeling heat...
  11. Yesterday's game might be one of the most disappointing games the bombers have played since 2015... the offense has been putrid ever since Flanders and Adams went down which proves we significantly lack depth on O... the defense is provong ir cannot get stops when it matters... that being said I don't believe we see a mass firing, no matter how the season ends... I would like to see new coordinators on both sides and some new scouts to help with our lack of depth at receiver and linebacker (imo our two biggest areas of weakness)...
  12. sure, in the literal sense of the term... it is not absolutely "must win" or we're eliminated type of situation... but for morale and momentum, showing up and putting up a big win tomorrow would be massive to get this team on track for the playoffs...
  13. I'd help but I haven't been very good at predicting who will score a TD recently!
  14. I hate the riders as much as the next guy... but @mfranc is right.. the expectation for them was to fight to stay out of the basement this year... they've not only secured a playoff spot, but still have a chance for 3rd in the west and will likely get to double digit wins tonight... in our second year of a massive rebuild we were 5-13...
  15. We all know this literally means nothing... Mike O'Shea would never publicly throw someone under the bus... especially right before the playoffs...
  16. I hate to agree with a Rider fan but....
  17. This is exactly true... the only play he made on defense was the pick-6... a play in which a terribly thrown ball went directly to him... and he had to avoid the sure tackling Calgary O-line to get to the house...
  18. Three major factors are required before a new team can exist... 1) an owner 2) a fan base 3) a stadium Right now all we know is Halifax may have 2)... they may be on their way to 3).... but it doesn't sound like they have 1) just yet...
  19. For the record, I was joking about the Wicek thing... I have no idea what his thoughts are on this depth chart...
  20. All the local media reporting Neufeld to start for Bond and Foketi for Hardrick... meanwhile, Paul Wicek is crying that the team tried to deceive him by putting Bond and Hardrick as the starters...
  21. Unfortunately I have to disagree with this... statistically he is closer to the bottom of the league right now and he has made some critical misses this season... missed a game tying kick against BC early in the year... had two brutal misses against Edmonton which might have cost us the game if not for an excellent defensive performance and a game sealing pick-6 from Randle... and missed the game winner against Tor... All that being said, I still have confidence that Medlock will make a big kick for us at some point before the season is over... I've just temporarily lost that confidence that anything 45 and under is a lock...
  22. I think you're right about week 20 deciding 3rd place vs the cross over... both team would probably "prefer" to cross over... but trying to lose is bad karma so both team will bring it...
  23. Is there any reason the Bomber should not be kicking tires on Underwood?...
  24. If we're looking at it as straight up Flanders vs Thorpe... then I would agree the team absolutely made the right decision... I just wish they could've found a way to keep em all... IMO our offense has looked the best this year when all of Flanders, Thorpe and Harris were in the line-up...
  25. It's funny that we all get a laugh at the Rider's expense... but I would feel kinda bad if Carter legitimately had a serious mental illness that needed attention... perhaps he should get the old noggin looked after... Based on talent alone, Carter would be more than just a marginal player in the NFL... I actually think he could be a star in the NFL... there's no question it's not his talent keeping him out of the league...
