  1. I think zero since O'Shea has already indicated Collaros will not play at all tonight... as a matter of fact, he probably won't even be dressed.
  2. I agree with all of this... except BA needs to be out of the lineup, now... he made the team this year based on the 2021 version of himself... and despite not being anywhere near that anymore... he still continues to start
  3. Don't worry guys.... THIS is the week the interior Oline starts to dominate....
  4. gotta wonder where Buck Pierce has gone to... there are still a lot of talented players in this offense... surely we can design something that works to our team's strengths
  5. even worse... it's the back up RB and back up QB...
  6. The receivers are meh... but my biggest concern is still the lines... the interior Oline has been bad for 3 games... so I guess they'll just magically be better tomorrow? And the Dline... maybe if we can play Fayad-Woods-Adams-Jefferson most of the game it could be ok... but Willie will be done by the 3rd quarter... Can we bring back Chauncy Rivers?? Or even as some have suggested... No Pee Leonard! As long as he's learned to relieve himself by now...
  7. I'm nowhere near and expert on O-line play (like most here)... but even to the untrained eye, you can see the Bombers have had massive trouble with interior protection this season... I honestly think that's one of the major reason the offense has started out so slow... fix that and you have an easier time establishing the run game and give Zach another second or two in the pass game... and you fix the offense.
  8. not only that... when is the last time BA actually tackled a guy... and not just lowered his shoulder only to have the opponent bounce off him and continue on.
  9. I didn't watch the game... but is Fajardo actually good now?
  10. so out of curiosity, how does that work? because he bailed on his contractual obligation to the Bombers, he is still Bombers property? Wouldn't retirement just negate that? or does that mean he cannot sign a one day contract because he is still under contract with the Bombers?
  11. 7:30 in Ottawa is 6:30 in Winnipeg which is 4:30 Pacific... not sure why you care about pacific time, unless you live in BC
  12. I'd like to see them go back to what they did in his early days... come in for a short yardage, then immediately go into a no huddle offense and catch the D off guard... would help the offense and give Zach some extra rest
  13. don't know who this guy is but I bet he would make a pretty good OC... please discuss
  14. that's the fun part about power rankings... it doesn't matter the record... it's all about how each team played/looked... if the Bombers fought back in the second half to only lose by a few points... you could easily make the case for them in the top 4
  15. Rose's feelings being hurt is irrelevant ... the reason he should've been rostered is because Biggie had no business being out there (I know, hot take! this is definitely the first time that's been mentioned)...
  16. the issue I have with the roster is two fold... and yes I know this has already been beaten to death in the last two hours but I want to join in... RB is a concern... Augustine is given the start by default, not because he earned it... If Chris Smith hadn't got hurt and stayed around... would the team have switched (very easily, I might add) the ratio to start an American back?... I'm not totally convinced they would have... The DL is a concern... the biggest strength of our D in game 1 and pre-season was the front four, specifically when we played Fox/Woods in the middle... tomorrow night we're likely going to see 1 DL spot occupied but Jake and Schmek all night... and Haba and Willie gassed by the 3rd quarter... who though that was a good idea??
  17. I would hope the back ups would all be in the game up 53-3!
  18. yes that play was incredible and one that he'll always be remembered for... but that was a special teams play and it was also 5 years ago.... there's a reason he's a journeymen special teamer with almost no starting experience.... if he was starter quality, he would've been playing there a long time ago, not making his first start at 32 years old... as an in-game emergency fill in, he's fine... but when you've had all camp to find a new MLB and the best you can do it a 32 year old, journeymen, special teamer with no starting experience.... that's a major fail... I hope is that he's a "starter" in name only... and there will be plenty on movement in the LB ranks throughout the game... I honestly prefer the team rolled the dice on Ayers or Gemmell. EDIT: I should also note, I love Gauthier and think he's a fantastic ST player and one of the leaders on this team... he's just not a starting MLB
  19. I actually agree and have no issue with Kramdi... but if Gauthier really is the starting MLB taking a majority of the reps... we need strength at other positions... I hope to see Cole out there A LOT in many different roles/situations... he can play anywhere in the LB group or even a safety type role... possibly our most versatile defensive players... so really my only "issue" with Krandi starting is I want more Cole...
  20. things I don't like... Thomas, Gauthier and Kramdi listed as starters... things I do like... the number of DL and LB players we have rostered... I am hoping to see a lot of rotation and lots of players getting on the field... I'm really hoping the Thomas/Schmekel is not a set spot on the depth chart... because Cgy basically couldn't run with their starters against Woods/Fox in the middle to start the game last week
  21. people laughed at your original comment because there is about a 0% chance the CFL could get Swifty... and I might be overshooting those odds...
  22. Fair point... but it is practice 1 of week 1... let's wait to see how the roster shakes out on Thurs before the teeth gnashing begins
  23. right... and that's probably why the Bombers kept 2 new DL, 2 new LBs, and 3 new DBs... who did the Bombers release that is a "can't miss" prospect?... I think (hope anyways) a strong DL rotation, including rest for Willie, will do wonders for the D as a whole...
  24. I don't know if Bighill's future is in coaching... given is strong ties/career in the financial industry... but I'd bet he'll want to be part of the team in some capacity for the 2025 season and the home grey cup
