  1. For me: Gord Miller and Matt Dunigan > Chris Cuthbert and Glen Suitor > Rod Black and Duane Ford Chris Cuthbert is one of my favourite commentators (in football and hockey; will never forget when he announced Crosby's goal at the Olympics), but I like Dunigan better than Suitor, and I also like Miller slightly better than Cuthbert (although I prefer Miller for hockey than Football).
  2. The flags have made the game feel longer and slower pace making for a much less exciting experience. It's nearly as bad as having commericials every second play in the NFL. Something has to change or they're going to lose fans (I've seen some people even encouraging others to boycott; I think they're idiots though. The league will just be put in a worse financial situation that way and won't actually accomplish anything). I will obviously continue to watch as much as I can as usual, but I miss the CFL from a few years ago.
  3. Dunigan is by far the best. I wish he would do more games.
  4. Hard not to agree... if that 2001 team had gotten the job done (they really should have)... we would all be a lot more patient today Losing to BC a few years ago in the Grey Cup wasn't unexpected. But that 2001 fail job is hard to swallow still. Even worse was the Riders Cup loss. We were a much better team and if not for that god damn broken arm we would have won. Of that I have no doubt. Hell, even with that complete loser Dinwiddie in the pocket we nearly won. Says a lot about that team that year and how mediocre the Riders were. Having a 12-6 record and scoring the 2nd most amount of points in the league isn't mediocre. But yes, tough loss to swallow with how close it was.
  5. He absolutely did. Especially nailed those 2 air out touchdowns. I like the bold type of quarterbacks. Sometimes conservative play isn't enough.
  6. Suitor may be a homer at times, but at least he isn't annoying to the level of Rod Black. Rod Black is hard to listen to most times.
  7. If not for Lirum, the positives in this game listed by the OP would have lead to victory. I don't see much else NOT to be positive about when the team did that well against the defending champs.
  8. Lirum is the primary player to blame for the loss. Missed field goal and missed convert. The Bombers would have guaranteed won minus his mistakes. Overall, Bombers outplayed Calgary in offence and defence (defence was actually good. Calgary's points were mainly off turnovers). I get the feeling that Calgary could struggle this season. They may be 3-1, but IMO, they were lucky all three times. Could make for an interesting battle for placements.
  9. No touchdowns for Cornhole!
  10. If you are referring to the "Easy Solution...Stop Going to Games" thread, please know that most people were firmly against what he was saying and criticized him for being a fair weathered fan. That guy does not speak on behalf of the entire fanbase. I'm not in any trying to justify the "best fans in the league/Canada's Team" attitude, just merely pointing out that not everyone acts like him. As for attendance, the reason it was lower was due to the rain. Looking at the seat map, there was likely 31K or 32K seats sold. Members of rf who were at the game stated that there were some season ticket holders that weren't there and there were groups that had bought tickets where not everyone ended up coming.
  11. Offence was the problem last year (terrible QBs going for us); this year, it's defence. Offence has been one of the best in the league, scoring the most points, but defence constantly allowing big drives costs us the wins. Clock mangement sucks too. Can't believe how much time was wasted on the last possession.
  12. Someone on RF was trying to persuade people to stop going to games so that changes will be made. What a total fair-weathered idiot. All that will do is put us in a bad financial state and drain the confidence from the players. Also gives us a bad name. I'm proud to say that the person was roasted by the most of the board, many of which were season ticket holders who don't care about the results. Boycotting in a 9 team league is absofuckinglutely stupid. Those people ruin it for me.
  13. Reeks of the Edmonton Oilers. With that old management, it was all about the moral victories when we lost. Basically to cover up the problems.
  14. I doubt it. Hamilton is not quite as good as some people think (the last game proved it. It was a comedy of errors and if Hamilton plays that way against Saskatchewan, they're in trouble with how close the Riders' other games have been.). We should have a good shot at them. And we only lost in OT against Toronto and that one should have been a tie game. The only one I'm not so sure about is Edmonton. I think we have 1 or 2 wins in there. One problem. You guys are getting worse, not better. Basically this game was a reverse of last game. Instead of blowing a lead at the end, we gave it up earlier and played comeback. I wouldn't say we played that much worse. I'll believe we're getting worse when we start losing games by more than 3 or 4 points. At the moment, we're consistently losing close games.
  15. The link is supposed to embed itself. Not sure why it didn't.

Well at least you are still optimistic. One of few it seems, haha.
  17. Dammit. Got scorched this time. Who would have thought Dressler wasn't going to get a touchdown? I mean, come; Getzlaf had one. Let's hope the Cornish Train crashes.
  18. No idea. In a win or loss situation, you have to go with the experienced kicker. One of few stupid coaching decisions that lost us the game along with the clock management on our last possession.

  20. And another correct pick. Pretty bad that I'm counting each one I'm getting correct.
  21. Something gibberish that only Rod Black knows.
  22. Man, I hate the ticats right now.
  23. Wow, total idiot. Should have went down right away.
  24. Lol at Cash running the wrong way at the pick.
