With expanded seating the place will seat more - 10,000 or so by the looks of things. About the same as some of those exhibition games they played in the Maritimes (think Halifax and possibly Moncton without the temp seats) several years ago. Edit: I think Moncton blew their chances at any further games, exhibition or regular season, by not selling out the last 2 regular season games there, the latter at a reduced capacity no less. That's really too bad. I'm moving to the east coast this summer, so would have been nice to see a game there. Closest I could get to is Montreal which will be 9-10 hours away.

When another team goes over the cap 4 times we'll see how their fans react and whether they deserve mocking. At this point though the Riders are the only team that has done it. Well, they just raised the cap, so not likely anyone will. -
Blades shutout SC last night. So perhaps there is still a chance yet. But I think we must win this series against SC in order to have a chance, otherwise the season is over. Still 18 points back IIRC.

Have you ever looked up the word cheat in the dictionary? Just wondering. What are the Riders doing that is not public information? You keep references a decade ago: are the riders secretly paying double or triple the payroll that the bombers are? Do you have any facts to back up your argument or are you just howling at the moon. If you want to discuss it, I'm all ears, if you just want to bash the riders go ahead its your site. You keep missing the point. Iso has been around the CFL message boards for a long long time, so have I, so have many others, we all remember the screaming that Rider fans used to do about the Esks "cheating" by spending way more money than the Riders could afford and how unfair it was. Now the tables are turned and the Riders are the ones spending like drunken sailors without a care in the world about the cap and Rider fans rush to defend it at every chance. It's the fact that the fan base are being giant hypocrites that people here are pointing out nothing more nothing less.I totally agree with the first part of your post, its the second part I disagree with. 100k is 2% of a 5 million dollar SMS. Drunken sailor is a bit of a stretch isn't it?It is when the Riders are the only team to over spend on a consistent basis. Considering the penalty is a fine it really is spending their way to the top. If it was wrong for Edmonton to do it back in the day when they had more money than the Riders it is just as wrong for the Riders to do it now that they actually have money. If Rider fans would simply accept that they're being hypocrites no one would care, but the fact that a lot of you try and justify it opens yourselves up to criticism. If Riders were over by a significant amount I could see your point but they were over be a rounding error in 2013 which is basically nothing. What speed limit do you drive at on a 100km/hr highway? Riders drove at about 100.1 km/hr. See, justifying it. This is why Rider fans are the joke of the league. two faced hypocrites. Need another Al Ford era, remind the fan base to be humble. So here's to say, what would be the reaction here if it was a different team who did this and that the fans tried to justify their mistake? It seems that it's never bad unless the Riders do it. -
Who I'm cheering for: Seahawks (cannot stand the Pats) Who I think will win: Patriots in a close game

I think cheating is going a little too far to describe the Riders going over the cap. First off, $17K is not even enough to pay a single player, so why is it a big deal (And plus, they have raised the cap since then)? It wasn't even close to the maximum until having to give up draft picks. Second, I think if a team decides to go over the salary cap, it's fine as long as they are willing to pay the fine (within reason of course). The Riders were not trying to cover it up in any way, so I don't consider it "cheating". And before any of you call me out for being bias, this goes for any team in the league. -
Well, Blades have now lost their last 2 games including an important matchup against Swift Current on Friday. Still 2 upcoming games against SC, but things aren't looking hopeful now.

6 in a row here in Brandon. Yeah, you guys are doing us a huge solid beating our division rivals ! Hopefully Brandon can beat Swift Current tonight as they are the team we need to catch for playoffs if it is still in the picture.

Agreed. I guess we are rolling the dice that Emry will regain the form from the Allouettes when inserted back into a pressure defence, which TO was not running. Too bad more Priders arent taking a wait and see approach. Its a "win" for Taman because Emery is 28. Forgetting he hasnt been an impact player in years. This is how I'm going about it. Emery was invisible in Toronto, so it really is hard to tell how he will do here. He is now on a better team defensive wise though, which could help him improve, but I'm not holding my breath until I can actually watch him play. -
Stovin gets a hat trick as the Blades defeat Moose Jaw 6-1! Blades have now won 4 straight games.

Drew Tate signs extension with Stampeders

Yes, this is true. But there was a mentality that Sunseri was better than Willy though. -

I think one of the reasons people thought he was going to go elsewhere was to find a starting job (people at CFL H were surprised that this didn't happen). -
Exactly the same in Saskatoon. Seemed like a more modern version of Zellers and Walmart. Some decent items, but I'm not sad to see it go.
-
Carcillo is a repeat offender. He should have gotten much longer than 6 games. And plus, he will be out for a lot less time than Perrault, which doesn't seem fair.

Good move by the Stamps. There's all this talk about them possibly trading him, but why would they ever do that? Who then would back up Mitchell? If you have good quarterback depth, you keep it. The Riders paid for it when they dealt Willy away (It was bound to happen and it made sense to Willy and Winnipeg, but Taman should have tried harder, because now they don't a capable quarterback to back up Durant). -
I think Riders can't have both Green and Dressler. I kinda like Dressler in Blue&Gold. But I agree that's there a cheaper option out there. I really like Ernest Jackson. Chiles would be good too. I'm not really high on Ellingson. If that's the case, then Green is not coming to Saskatchewan. I don't see Dressler going anywhere anytime soon.

1. They hate BC. 2. The Rider defence has actually been pretty good for the last couple years. Really? I've never seen that much hate for the Lions over there. Sure they don't like them (they don't like any other team than the Riders), but I've seem MUCH more hate for other teams than BC. Probably the most hated team over there is Edmonton. Edmonton? Until last season they were an irrelevant team. The hate is for the Stamps & Winnipeg. Dates way back to the 1980s when Edmonton had a strong team. Rider fans still hate the Esks for that era. The top rivals probably are Calgary and Winnipeg now, but there is plenty of Edmonton bashing over there still.
