George Cortez won't be back with Riders in 2015
AtlanticRiderFan replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Hmm, I'm actually kind of surprised by this. But he wasn't doing a good job, so it was time to move on. Still undetermined whether it was on his accord or whether it was on the management. -
Michael Sam Possibly Playing for Als Next Season
AtlanticRiderFan replied to TrueBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Exactly. I wish people would just equally treat each other like normal human beings. No need to make each other different. But great to see him make a run at the CFL! Hope all goes well for him. -

Yikes, Brandon ties the game up with 5 seconds left and wins it in OT. Brandon 4, Saskatoon 3 Good game, BrandonBlue&Gold! Although I will say the Blades did outplay the kings up until the end of the third .

I'm that type of gamer and I prefer the PS4. Put me in that boat, as well....and I've always found that, for me, it comes down to which controller is easier to handle, and I always found the PS controllers a bit easier. That first XBox had such a gigantic, clunky controller...turned me off XBox ever since. Not a HUGE fan of the dual-joystick function on PS, but I think it's still better than XB. Came here to say this about the Xbox controllers. My cousin has an original Xbox, and it's ok, but I've never like the shape and size of the controller. This is exactly where PS wins. The controller is much easier to hold than the xbox. The only thing I don't like about it though is the buttons. I prefer the lettered buttons over shapes. That's the nice thing about the Logitech gampad controller. It has the shape of a PS controller (maybe slightly bigger, which is nice because 17 is right about it being a bit small) and the buttons of an Xbox controller. I 100 % agree about the gamecube controller. I mainly use Nintendo consoles, so I have the Gamecube and the Wii. The gamecube controller is the perfect shape and size. It just feels like it's melting in your hands. Honestly, I think it's better than the classic controller, which is why I've never bothered buying one.

If he is, that's not saying a whole lot. I have never liked Proulx.
-
UGH. Proulx is a terrible ref. Always one-sided. I can guess that Calgary is going to be called a lot here as he has East bias.
-
He got traded? Where? EDIT: Wow, Brandon. We could end up playing against him on Friday.
-
Quite the comeback by both sides! Last I had looked, it was 3-2 Brandon. But wow, I wasn't exactly expecting it to be a close game, let alone a win! Well, I guess the Blades still have plenty of fight in them yet. Bring on the game on Friday! Will likely head to that one. Will be my first Blades game of the season as I have been very busy.

TJ Galiardi placed on waivers
AtlanticRiderFan replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Yikes, he's done pretty well nothing this season. I'm pretty sure he will clear waivers. -
Well, we have been trading many of our vets to give our younger players a larger role, so it's a possibility sometime. He's 18, so it wouldn't happen this year, but at 19 or 20, we start to make deals during the rebuild. Yup, same here. Better yet, I go to a lot of games, so I get flex tickets which amount to even less per game. It's really good deal, especially when you buy the 36+ games and split them with your friends. Frankly, I would see my Blades LONG before paying 100-200 bucks to see the Oilers mail it in.

Seen some WHL fans here, so I'm starting this thread up. Discuss anything WHL here: News, game day discussion, etc. Watch games on WHL Live or any Sportsnet televised games on Sportsnet Now. Listen to games on radio HERE. To you guys, Go Wheat Kings go! But for me, Go Blades go!

Haha, bring it on ! Go Blades go! -
Haha, now a pick. Montreal is just falling apart now.

Punt return TD! 37-24 Hamilton.
-
Wow, right through his hands. That was easily catchable.

At 30 years old? I doubt that one. But, if he's becoming an FA I wouldn't mind if we targeted him. He still has probably 8 years give or take left. That's plenty of playing time yet. I don't see that as a concern. hah! How many 38 year old receivers you see anywhere? He'll be lucky and a bit of an outlier if he gets 5 more good years. Most likely he's got a couple good years then smaller roles purely based on experience. Well take then. But still. That's plenty of years still and there are plenty of lower teams like Jacksonville or Oakland that could use someone like him.

Touchdown Hamilton!

Rule should be if the ball is already past the player, interference cannot be called. Because yeah, if the ball is already uncatchable, why reward the receiver? It should only be called if the ball could have or would have been caught.

Rooting for Hamilton too. Have never liked Montreal, especially now that Calvillo doesn't play there anymore. Undecided on the West. I dislike both.

it's actually a metaphor for life! Is it the "Answer to The Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything"? -
They won't. This is only the first time we've been eliminated since the Grey Cup, and even so, we were above .500, so unless this continues as a pattern, he will stay.

Very exciting game. Disappointed that Manitoba didn't win though. I was strongly rooting for them as I would like to see a canadawest team win the Vanier again. Both teams played hard until the end, although Manitoba was a bit sloppy with their ball handling. Other than that, they looked strong and easily could have won.
