  1. ahh the rallying cry of the loser. Sorry but that's just not true. Edmonton won the game by doing just enough to win. I know you're trying to put a positive spin on things, but your team was outclassed yesterday bottom line. Being positive??? Basically saying my team sucked ass isn't being positive. But Edmonton did not play well.
  2. If Edmonton was THAT good against a crappy team like us, the score would have been way greater than it was. Their offence did not do much. Most of their points came from Joseph's picks. Minus those and they would have lost. Edmonton didn't "win", Riders "lost".
  3. Basically to sum this game up as someone on rf said, Edmonton didn't deserve to win, and Saskatchewan didn't even deserve to make the playoffs in the first place. In some ways, I'm shocked this game was so close, and in others, I'm not. Riders defence bailed us out. Had it not been for them, Edmonton would have scored more points. But then again, they would have scored less points had it not been for the countless turnovers. This was the battle of two hopeless teams. I already had a feeling that whoever won this would be smoked by Calgary. And I stand by that. Calgary has had extra time to rest their players and practice before the game. Meanwhile Edmonton is rusty and had to aggravate Reilly's injury by putting him in the game, and doesn't have enough time to prepare. Heck, I don't even think they were prepared for this game. Calgary and Montreal in the Grey Cup.
  4. Joseph-ception. Just pull him already.
  5. Guy's down, Black. Chill out.
  6. Joseph got a TD? Am I dreaming?
  7. This team isn't best anything in the CFL right now.
  8. My day: Part 1: Watch the Broncos suck. Part 2: Watch the Riders suck. Part 3: Watch the Oilers suck.
  9. That was a useless challenge.
  10. Ah, yeah, they always play that song at the Huskie football games. Big ear worm, although I don't hate it or anything. It's not my thing; I like rock music more. It has a much bigger impact on me in lyrics and sound than pop.
  11. Perhaps some people can't afford it. People do have lives beyond football.
  12. Chamblin is saying Durant is still a week away from being ready. Joseph will play the entire game.
  13. Gee darn, I didn't even have to change my clocks !
  14. Trying to dehydrate us ?
  15. As if that doesn't happen elsewhere too . That's no big deal though. That's what the janitors are there for. I do think it's good to clean after yourself, but I don't agree with criticizing a fanbase for something little like that.
  16. Man, our QBs are unpredictable and inconsistent.
  17. I think Montreal wins, but like you say, it will be close. Either way, Toronto is out of the mix. They've fallen apart in their performance and injuries. Hamilton vs. Saskatchewan. Hamilton wins.
  18. No clue, because I didn't even vote!
  19. I would say the Riders for obvious reasons, but this really is a poll for second favourite team, which for me would probably be Toronto. Not going to vote yet though.
  20. part of putting your opinion out there is subjecting it to the judgement of the masses. Not every opinion is valid or good and if you can't handle people judging your opinions then lurking is the best place for someone to be. As for homers. gloomers or whatever else, it's not about being negative, it's just that some people do fall into these categories. I can think of some people who always say positive things about the team, and I can think of people who do massively under rate things about this team. This isn't about disagreeing with opinions, it's about some people always acting in the same way. I like to think that I am a positive person in general with regards to the Bombers, but I can point out when something isn't good enough without resorting to the hyperbole that some people seem to need to do. Flaws can be pointed out without the doom and gloom. Positives can be pointed out without being a kool aid drinker. A lot of people here don't seem to get that though. Then judge people's opinions, I have no issues with that. Calling someone stupid, dumb, or any personal insult is what I have issue with. That includes calling someone's opinion stupid. If you feel that passionately about what someone typed to actually respond to it, then tell them why you disagree with it, not simply that it is a dumb opinion. I've seen message boards were new people posting are jumped on by multiple different people when they post. Haven't really seen it happen here, but that pack mentality is bad for message boards. I am sorry but some opinions are stupid and deserve to be called so. To not do it is to do a disservice to people. They will go on continuing to think just because it's their opinion that it's valid and right because everyone is entitled to their opinions. That is not true at all. If you give someone constructive criticism, then you have given them the exact reason why what they said is wrong. Words like stupid, other than the fact that they are insulting, are too vague. They don't explain why they're wrong. Also, if you bash someone's opinion more (insulting more than constructive), then the other person may be even more defiant and get defensive and continue to back up their incorrect opinion. My $.02.
  21. 100% bullshit. He's had what? 20 starts in his career? That's barely over 1 full season. He would absolutely benefit from more experience. People have to stop thinking that he was anywhere close to a finished product when he came here. He is still a guy trying to establish himself. MOAR experience is going to benefit him. Maybe, but out of the experience he's already gotten, he's established himself as who I think is a top 5 quarterback. Yes, he's a young quarterback, so it's good for him to have more experience. But I agree with Yourface. What good is that if he ends up getting injured again and ends up being out for longer yet? Then, he's just going to turn into one of those injury-prone QBs who ends up spending more time injured than actually playing like Buck Pierce. Play it safe. Willy will get plenty of extra experience next season. It's not like he's in danger of losing his starting position.
  22. Yup, they've sold out very fast in the last few years. Last year, they had to have a lottery for the final 5000 tickets.
