It wouldn’t surprise me to see Winnipeg trade Ehlers after July 1 but I feel the draft is the ideal time if you want a 1st this year. Rental Ehlers = 1st plus prospect at deadline. With 1 year left I’d guess 2 1st plus prospect type or a 1 for 1 like say Ottawa for Chychrun or maybe Chabot.

It’s probably easier to do an nhl mock draft with 32 teams than it is doing a 2 or 3 round cfl mock draft because you know with hockey it’s always gonna be best player available. Generally, you do have the occasional team who surprises in the cfl draft the best players are getting nfl contracts now and that throws a major major wrench in there

Plus you need some veteran presence and Biggie is a good dude on and off the field so you need a couple of those guys around still. Can’t just go 25 new guys. Maybe Biggie Stan and Willy can be our “grizzled vets” but then u got demski and Brady also, the hometown local stars. It can work. We got a good base without a neufeld or Alexander or Kyrie even. Jake etc. Alexander and kyrie should be easy to replace with a linebacker and DB. Neufeld and Jake, gonna have to sign a guy prob cuz those are starter types currently

In the end pro sports is all about bigger stronger faster younger more hungrier athletes. Every sport. Except golf. Even then tho the younger guys dominate

Bighill I feel in a limited role if you maybe just let him be a linebacker and not pretend he’s gonna get to the qb on a blitz or cover wrs is ok but I dunno. Seems a step or 2 behind and he was a step behind last year also. BA and Neufeld tho are very done. Neufeld said he doesn’t need training camp in one of his interviews, didn’t exactly but implied he didn’t. He needed training camp. Although he’s playing beside kolo and a new tackle so maybe it’s a combination there. Thomas? Dude was done 3 seasons ago as a starter type who gets tons of reps. In a limited role perhaps he’s useful still but limited like Jackson limited. Cut him. Sign Bennett. Problem solved. Not saying Bennett is god but don’t think he’s washed like Thomas is.

Yup. It’s been a while in reality. Not playing devils advocate anymore cuz yup really does go back a while doesn’t it.

This problem tho isn’t just a this year thing. I think last year started it. It’s just continued cuz a year older and a year slower. And if you wanna talk roster management that’s been an issue for some time. that’s my concern. They think it’s 2 games. When in reality it’s been most of last year, some might say longer, and so far all of this season. That’s my concern. it’s pretty boring if everyone agrees tho. @Mike devils advocate at times.

Does 1 win really change things tho. That’s what I’m curious about. These guys look unprepared to play both weeks now. Is a fluke win gonna change anything or does this team need to come out and beat BCs ass badly. also would be curious to understand the thought process of bringing in 50 dbs and 50 wrs every year besides reps I guess for QBs but then basically cutting all of them. I’d be curious to know what some of the younger guys think actually also. Like the younger players. Surely they see that lesser players are being kept over younger better players and that has to effect them. like a tre Thomas or Jonny petrishen. What more could they have done to make the team? Besides be 8 year vets. Or how did guys who dropped every ball thrown to them like Wilson and Mitchell get chances over guys like Johnson and lord Keric. Just hurts the head.
