Kelly cared lots but his biggest issue was it appears he was not stable mentally. I met the guy as my dad's friend was dating him (his winnipeg girlfriend) and he was decent enough but definitely a guy with an ego. I was very very young during his time here and it was the first year we had season tickets lol. Lots of memories from the Kelly season from playing every QB dressed in 1 game to the Hamilton boat incident to the blue out. I've unfortunately been to Regina on my way to Calgary. I'll be honest the racism don't shock me as I don't think I've ever seen a non white or indigenous person in Regina. Not that I'm looking but... to my recollection the only black guys there are the football players Regina is the whitest "city" I've ever stayed in Nah.
