I was looking at receiver cuz I do think it’s a priority spot for us, now I don’t think our 1st pick will be receiver, I see that being OL, I’m actually not even sure our 2nd pick is receiver, could be OL but who in the 26 draft is the guy we should be looking at hard as they say with one of our picks. Is there that guy that could be better than KC and Corks without the KC Is better cuz I said so stuff. I mean, he hasn’t shown much honestly so IMO they both are replaceable depth pieces.

They will keep Blaming goalies eventho McDavid is like minus 30 in the series. Edmontons D is terrible. They have a bunch of offensive D and offensive forwards. They ain’t got a clue how to play team D tho. Not a hot clue. McDavid included. I’ve seen oiler fans say well Philly is up 3 1 on Pittsburgh, true but Philly was better than Pittsburgh. Edmonton better than Anaheim. Anaheim can’t play D either. They are a run and gun team, why the jets struggled against them cuz instead of trying to play strong D first hockey they like Edmonton is doing tried to run and gun with them. You can’t as that Ducks team is young and fast but no way should it be 3 1 ducks. Look what Colorado, truly elite team did to LA? Sweep. Carolina over Ottawa. Sweep. Edmonton isn’t elite. You can keep changing goalies until McDavid leaves or trade him for a haul and truly fix what ails you. Bottom line. Like the jets and Helle, lesser goalies have won Stanley cups with lesser teams than the Jets. If you can trade 1 guy to fix multiple issues long term for you, you gotta think hard about it. If someone offered us a 1st and legit 2 center for Helle, I’d think long and hard about it cuz look at the goalies in the playoffs minus TBAY. Pretty pedestrian really. Colorado runs a tandem. Carolina has a rookie and Freddy Anderson. Anaheim’s keeper is a rookie pretty much. Montreals are younger. It goes on and on and on. I’d think hard just like I think if Edmonton loses they should think long and hard about moving McDavid before he leaves for nothing. McDavid is a solid offensive hockey player but you could argue he can’t be a goat until he wins a cup and he might not ever win a cup. MacKinnon Has won. Kucherov has won. Sid won. Took a while but ovi won. Maybe it takes McDavid a while also. When it’s multiple goalies tho it isn’t the goalie that’s the problem in Edmonton.

Pavia has talent. He’s very small tho 5 foot 9 they say at the combine and his attitude is just toxic. But he might make the Ravens because he’s a smaller Lamar Jackson who likes to run. I’d say Baltimore is his best fit, if pavia can’t make it there he’s not gonna make it anywhere. I agree ego will never allow for him to come up here plus he’s 5 9. He’s tiny but he wins so it’s a dilemma. Attitude is toxic potentially. Is he worth the headaches? Ravens will find out.

The reality is both are 5th options for Zach maybe even 6th option. Corcoran isn’t any better but he was the rookie. Clercius and Corcoran are 2 likely easily replaceable players. It’s an odd debate.

2 center or d man. I’d be looking 2C where we currently pick. D depth isn’t an issue organizationally. Center is. Salo. Sascha. Freij all young D. 2 are big. Yager is our only real prospect center. Maybe Walton but he’s likely a 3 4 center. I’d say ABW. Anyone But a Winger. If we move up and pick 2 im having a hard time passing on Verehoff. Eventho I like the Swede and a few other potential CenterS. Hell I might take him at 1. As I agree McKenna ain’t a franchise changer.

I was watching a show. Dude was a former nfl player talking to rookies about money. Said 10 million isn’t really 10’million. I dunno. Helle has always been similar after not reaching the end goal. His post season interviews in the past have had similar vibes for sure. He doesn’t like criticism and never blames himself. He just doesn’t and hasn’t ever done that. He’s said he can always work on things to improve but he’s never actually accepted criticism. It’s never him. Watch previous season ending interviews with him. It’s similar. It’s how he’s wired. I’d say he’s probably saying what lots of the core is thinking. I think the article I originally saw said don’t be surprised if Helle played his last game in Winnipeg and I clicked and I didn’t get that sense at all. Bit sensationalized headline there. Helle leads by example I suppose. He’s always been outspoken with the media tho. Honest really. Blunt even. Surely YouTube has his past season ending interviews up. It’s always similar when not winning with him. Would it be nice if he was a bit more humble and said I personally didn’t have the best season minus being on an Olympic all star team? And in the end Helle isn’t the problem, the problem is signing washed up bums to play with washed up bums. 31 of 32 teams would have waived Nyquist, we gave him minutes pp time ot time and shootouts. I actually agree with Helle here. We went out and signed washed up bums to play with other washed up bums. I’d be pissed also but I’d prob recognize that I personally didn’t have the best year either despite having smoke blown up my ass by some MAGA folks. Connor has always been an arrogant conceited prick, the guy refuses to accept any sort of criticism. Always been like this. The reality is he’s going nowhere because 1. He’s pretty right in his general opinion and 2. Goalies get nothing in return. This will be an interesting off season. Perhaps one of the more important ones… I’ll also say you don’t need all of Iafallo names and Nino taking up spots either. 2 of 3 must go by any means necessary. I like AI but he likely has some value where Nino and names have none. Nyquist is exhibit A for what Helle is actually talking about by the way. Can’t disagree with him. I can’t be upset with guys who want to win but teams with lesser goalies have won Stanley Cups so it’s not like Helle isn’t replaceable. Personally my untouchables are Helle 55 81 Gabe Lowry Josh Salo. Let’s throw in Koepke now and Rosen. That’s it Everyone else is on the table for upgrades.
