In reality id prob have traded Laine at that draft and got a couple other picks… maybe NJ works. They had a few picks that draft. Laine to NJ for player pick 8 and pick 17. Then take Perfetti at 8 or 7, whichever pick they took holtz with, Jarvis with our pick and Braden Schneider at 17 since we going back in time here. Yet last year Perfetti scored the goal with 1.5 seconds to go to tie it. Honestly. I also wouldn’t have signed Toews or if I did he’d have to start with the Moose cuz whoever played with Toews early, they got butt ******. Perfetti played with him. Him and Nyquist. Yup. Imagine thinking Perfetti was the problem.

Reality. Currently it’s a top 10 Pick. 9th overall. What’s wrong with Perfetti. When he’s not injured or playing with a dude who didn’t play hockey in 2 years he was good. lol Acting like you heard of Seth Jarvis or acting like Perfetti wasn’t projected to go in the top 10 is ridiculous, Perfetti was a better prospect. Both drafted as center. Both wingers. One plays with this dude named Aho and the other with a washed up Toews. Put Jarvis with Toews and you’d say should have took Perfetti. If we took Jarvis we probably don’t have Vilardi or Perfetti or Iafallo. Cuz Jarvis if same projection playing with 55, since 55 is comparable to Aho. Bet Perfetti looks 10x better if he played with our franchise center also.

Milt stegall was deemed not good enough a long time ago. AB3 was a nobody. Pokey had wouldn’t say character issues but we will call it character issues. Schoen was a superstar from game 1 really. You never know. Personally i like the former raven receiver the best of all the new receiver signings and he signed early. Dudes got skills and is young.

I’d imagine 2 center is a priority. I’d hope he’d talk about getting younger and faster also.

I don’t blame Elgersma. All the power to him. Just it’s obvious at this point that his best route to his end goal is probably via CFL. But the last real QB to be given a legit shot and even then it was shady and injury related but talk was he’d be benched the second the starter was back was Doug Flutie so maybe not. Rourke better than Elgersma. Looked better than Elgersma in pre season. NCAA trained. Never got a true fair shot. Rourke was better than the other QBs he was competing against. But he’s in the cfl. Elgersma needs to realize there’s lots of politics at play. Flutie was an ncaa guy also and not Canadian even.

CFL. Pro league here in our country Canada. In the USA it’s just another minor league to the nfl. Do I think you could put a cfl team in some us markets and draw? Yes. St. Louis is one for sure as they don’t have an nfl team. They supported xfl and UFL and would put 35000 for cfl Also. I’m just not sure where else and probably don’t think now is the time for American expansion but if you want streaming in the USA and globally in reality you gonna have to start thinking expansion. CFL should do like Touchdown St Louis or whatever and see what happens but now is not the time for US expansion.

I mean to be fair here I could write a tv show and Disney plus could pick it up but if nobody watches it then who cares. Nobody would watch the cfl on Disney plus just like only 22 ppl will watch the Mexican league. I guess a big difference is a large portion of America is not fans of Canada since their supreme leader says so. Surely someone with more tech ability than me can find the average cfl game ratings for games broadcast in the USA. Obviously the demand just isn’t there and honestly why would it be. Why would Americans care about the cfl when they have plenty of sports options. UFL ratings don’t look great. NHL ratings aren’t great. Baseball fluctuates depending on who plays who. Playoff basketball draws but regular season don’t. NFL is king tho. CFL would draw less than the UFL because Americans really don’t support things not American. Even soccer is having a hard time actually drawing numbers. The stadiums are all smaller than ours. I think reality is 350 million people down there. Maybe a million know the cfl exists. I mean last time I was in California and Vegas (about 7 years ago 8 actually now), Americans were surprised I was so tanned. They literally thought we had snow year round folks. They don’t know about us. We know way more about them. Bottom line. It’s not worth it to Disney Amazon Netflix etc if you only drawing 10000 viewers. Maybe regularly draw a million per on tsn first. Not just bombers and rider games and then streaming services might be like hmm interesting. The overtime losses points are the difference. La has 19 ot losses. Jets have 12. That’s 7 extra points. If you actually look at goal differential also kings are minus way more than the jets. The loser points gonna get LA the last spot. Jets have 2 more wins than LA. LA is minus 22 goal differential. Jets are minus 12. LA is 3 points up with 2 less wins. It’s stupid actually.

I’m not sure cuz Nashville and LA keeps winning also but I wouldn’t wanna be a struggling Colorado facing a jets or preds team for that matter who have been on fire since march 1 and in playoff mode since the break really. Honestly. I’d move on from Nino and names in the off season via trade if I could. It’s time to insert some speed and youth. Honestly Nino and names are just taking up spots that should be used for younger quicker guys. Nino has been a disappointment the last 2 seasons now. I’d prob bring back Toews cuz although it took a half season, he’s a solid 3rd or 4th line center still and his veteran presence is probably a good thing. I’d also sign Koepke and Barron to new deals. Nyquist can **** off. Try to get that 2C by any means necessary. If it means trading pionk I prob do it cuz Salo is definitely a 1 or 2 rhd. And Salo played well with Samberg also. Just saying I think pionk prob gets you that 2 center. I wonder if Demelo Plus prospect gets you a young maybe unproven 2C. Couple years ago jets had interest in Washington center Connor mcmichael, they should have made the trade cuz dude is lighting it up a bit the past 2 seasons now. Solid numbers. Young also. I don’t think Washington would move him but perhaps that type, where you take a shot on a guy who maybe hasn’t quite put it all together but you think will with the right system and line mates.

It’s likely we finish a point or 2 out for sure. Hell of a run. Jets don’t have bottom 5 talent. I’m not sure ppl realize just how bad a Vancouver or NYR are currently. Should have waived Nyquist and the old guard earlier in the season and left Chib Salo and lambert up all year. Jets were 9 3 1 with the kids then Scotty went to the vets and we sucked. Got slower. Noticeably. Since the Schenn Stanley Pearson trade the team is noticeably quicker and dominate at times. I don’t think they make it cuz la playing Nashville currently. Someone getting 2 points there so still 3 back but if they do I really wouldn’t want to play them round 1. 55 81 Josh and Helle can win a series.
