Unless you’re getting a top 3 pick and even then it’s debatable but none of these guys except maybe McKenna and that’s a maybe is on the team next season. Jets dealt with injuries and poor signings. Their goalie was out for a month and we had an 11 game losing streak and are 3 points out. We aren’t a bad team. We had a bad few months bu jets since the break are one of the best teams in the league. Since they traded Stanley Schenn and they Pearson they are noticeably quicker and faster and playing at a much higher pace. They just dominated Colorado for 8 of 9 periods. They aren’t that bad. Why aren’t they a cup contender if they get in? With Hellebuyck they certainly are cuz that’s all it takes. Is Colorado a contender? We just dominated them the last 8 of 9 periods we played them. Just get in. Cuz the regular season don’t mean ****. It’s about who is hot and streaking and who has the hot hand. For the jets to get in, a streaking is needed and for that so is a hot Helle. If they miss they will prob get a player 2 years to 3 years away but there are exceptions. I’m thinking I like our future d with Salo and Sasha (he’s coming) Freij is starting to look good also. That’s a solid young group. I’m thinking regardless of draft we looking at center but I think jets might get a bit aggressive this off season and make a trade for a scheif KC Josh Helle aged 2C cuz that’s the window right now. They could call up Yager also just to see if he can be that future 2C but Scott would play him with Nyquist and Toews tho so doomed. Honestly. Jets will prob get a decent player to fit that Salo Sasha Freij next wave group. Playoffs matter more to the bottom line also. Would you hope for the bombers to miss? That’s crazy talk.

Blackhawks Stars Blue Jackets Kraken - so we do. Blues Philly Vegas Mammoth Sharks. Tough schedule. I see 5 or 6 wins tho. Perhaps hawks kraken blues Vegas Philly and even sharks in final game. Maybe we could beat Dallas Columbus and Utah also. It’s possible. We just basically beat the best team in the league 2 out of 3 times so who knows. If they play like they did against the Avs, it’s very possible but Nashville and LA needs to lose. 18 possible points left = 92 points. I dunno. Most years it’s not enough but the west is kinda weak this year. 3 points out currently. 4 points away from 10th in the west in the wildcard standings and top 5 pick. Crazy. St. Louis has won 4 in a row and are 1 point behind us now. The teams in front are all L1 streaks. Nashville is L2. Teams behind us are w1 w4 w1. It’s just crazy.

They need to win 2 more games than wildcard 2 really. What we want is clean losses for teams in front of us. We can win in OT against anyone but those teams we chasing for WC2, if we play them again needs to be 2 in regulation. Don’t think we play Nashville or LA or Seattle again tho.

Elgersma not impressing if they bring in a new QB already. Honestly. If he comes up here he’s prob last on the depth chart also. Zach UFL mvp Thorne and Wilson all would be ahead of him in terms or development in reality. I guess in reality a Canadian trained QBs expectations should be non existent since really when’s the last time a truly Canadian trained QB consistently started and won games. Rourke was ncaa. Ford? Replaced by the Faj. Is it Russ Jackson? That’s long long long time ago. Only advantage might be field size but they changing that. Changed that so no real advantage .

Wahlin a ppg player in ncaa from Minnesota. He’s 24 tho kinda like Tanev when we signed him. There’s some skill there. Could be a solid bottom 6 winger like Tanev was at first.

Demelo with fleury or Bryson maybe heinola as 7 8 D isn’t that bad. Not sure how they get a 2 center tho. Why not try Perfetti Barron Rosen. Or call up Yager and go Perfetti Yager Rosen. Do something cuz Toews Nyquist dragging Rosen down and Lowry isn’t a top 6 guy.

Why? Colorado struggles against us. Jets if they make it would be on a huge roll. Only draft picks helping anytime soon are the top 3 in this years draft and we ain’t picking top 3. I dunno. Most teams who get hot or go on a run to end the season seem to do well in playoffs.

They are gonna get in and take out Colorado rd 1 in an upset. They are pretty hot right now. One of the best records since the break. If they get in, could be trouble for Colorado for sure.

They should give Rosen ice time with Connor and Scheifele.

He hopefully retires. Honestly sounded like jets were a bit disappointed with JT from chevy PC. Read between the lines stuff. 10 years ago JT is what people expected. What we got was a dude who might struggle in the beer leagues.

But also not surprising. I think they have a call up limit and they maybe used 2 or even 3 of the 5 spots available already. So a guy like Yager, think Chevy in his PC mentioned Tyrel Bauer who isn’t nhl calibre maybe getting a chance but yeah. I’m not sure other than maybe putting the 2 quick wingers (Rosen and lambert) with Barron maybe but Koepke and Barron work well together. Them and walker dueher were tremendous together. Lowry? Slow. Toews? Slow. I mean. Yeah. Not much they can change. They need a 2 center and they currently don’t have that. Perfetti is a natural center so Rosen Perfetti lambert might be fun but Arniel would rather play defensive veterans in the top 6. Chevy may have to pull some of the vets for injury related purposes soon. Not yet but soon. Until they are officially eliminated they won’t but once they are bet Lowry and a few others are shut down.

I guess I feel ok knowing that it wasn’t the bombers who developed dru brown, it was Zach so I think if you have the guy, who wants to learn and is willing to put in the work, maybe he can do it again. Thorne might be that guy. He’s young and he wanted to come up here. Oh he just retired cuz he got drafted to Iran. Well. He didn’t. But just saying. He wanted to come here so that probably matters a bit. I think it does. He wanted to come here and Canadian QB Elgersma don’t right now. That’s just yup.

Most nfl teams don’t have a quality number 2 guy right now so next to impossible? No but just about. Gotta find a kid who truly wants it. A guy who wants to take over from Zach. To me this would be Elgersmas best shot to come up and sign now but he’s unproven also but… if you can get him signed, you do it. I’m not signing any of the below average vets.

Are we sleeping on Peyton Thorne a bit? Sounds like he wanted to come up to play because of talking to Kent Austin. I’m just saying, that’s an interesting intangible. He’s a young guy also so maybe there’s something there. Not saying he’s gonna be a star or stud out of camp just sounds like he’s coming here cuz he truly wants it and in my opinion, that’s a good sign. Should learn lots as Zach is apparently a solid mentor. I’m also not sure ncaa success or lack of matters when it comes to the cfl. I think a guy needs to want it and yeah sounds like that kid does. It’s about learning the nuances and quirks. If a guy can pick those up and get solid vet mentoring, who knows there.

I think that they could sneak in and get wooped by colorabi round 1 but at this point and looking at schedule after rangers game, lots of in division but also good teams. We struggle against good teams. Tough schedule. Hopefully finish bottom 10 and win a top 3 pick. All 3 of stenburg McKenna and verhoff would help eventually.

I might have interest in Masoli as a qb coach. I don’t think as a player. I think he’s cooked beyond cooked as a player.
