Blue Bombers - 2025 Regular Season - Discussion Thread

Lack of depth is on O’Shea? Honestly. What the **** does Walters do then. O’Shea is out there every day taking stupid questions from our stupid media. Out there pre and post game. When the **** was the last time Walters said anything? Lack of depth isn’t on O’Shea. It’s on Walters. You complain literally about everything. Won’t be happy until it’s done exactly your way but looking at the roster, and the PR, where are these extra receivers we could dress? Woods on the DL would be nice but he’s still hurt I guess. I mean they are non existent. Cobb who will be released soon and a dude we brought in 2 weeks ago. where is all this depth that O’Shea can pick from cuz I don’t see it. Lack of depth on the coach? I’m pretty sure it’s the GMs job to give him options but guess what our gm didn’t. Our gm actually gave Thomas a new contract this off season. Same with Kyrie Wilson. He gave Korn one also. You always bring everything back to O’Shea when in reality the things fans should be complaining about happened in the off season. The lack of depth is on the GM. O’Shea literally has zero options in certain spots. But Cobb but Cobb but Cobb, complaining about backups to backups here. Worrying about who 3rd string is when 1 st string is underwhelming in areas. How is signing players not on the gm. The gm signs players and that improves your depth. The gm doesn’t and here we are. -
I see on the stat sheet Connor Shay had 1 tackle. Did he get some defensive reps and I missed that.

1. Zach. I mean that might have been his best game in years. Dude had 13 straight completions at one point. Montreal has a good D and play us hard since we were in the east. 2. Brady. Over 200 yards. Dude stepped up. 3. Sergio. Was perfect on the night. HH to sterns and Demski. Both had great first halfs. another HH to person who seems to make a difference when he plays. Houston or Dandy. Whoever. Just no more Lawson Jr. I gotta give a wTF to the refs who didn’t call a penalty eventho our OL (think it was Kolo) had his helmet torn off. and lastly a hhh and that means it’s all about the game and how you play it… give me Logan here. Did he stand out? No but he’s a weapon and it was nice seeing him out there finally.

AI says. Yes, while not typically competing on the professional PGA Tour, many hockey players are avid golfers and some have even participated in professional events through exemptions or charity tournaments. For instance, Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dylan Samberg competed as an amateur in a PGA TOUR Americasevent in 2024, and Matt Boldy of the Minnesota Wild received a sponsor exemption for a PGA Tour Canada event. Additionally, hockey players often participate in charity events alongside professional golfers, and some, like Maverick McNealy, have successfully transitioned from hockey to the PGA Tour. Hockey Players and Professional Golf: Dylan Samberg: A defenseman for the Winnipeg Jets, Samberg has competed in PGA TOUR Americas events as an amateur, demonstrating the skill level that allows some hockey players to test their abilities in professional golf. Matt Boldy: After a strong season with the Minnesota Wild, Boldy received a sponsor's exemption to play in a PGA Tour Canada tournament, showcasing his talent and passion for the sport beyond hockey. Grant Fuhr: The former NHL goaltender has played in Pro-Am tournaments with golf stars and even competed in a few Web.com Tour events. Maverick McNealy: McNealy, who played hockey when he was younger, now plays on the PGA Tour. Jerry Kelly: Before playing on the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour Champions, Kelly was a hockey player who attended the University of Hartford on a hockey scholarship

15 of 17 159. Yeah. It’s the O that’s the problem. 11 straight completions now. Oh 12. Hmm. -

Lawson showing zero awareness almost causing holm to drop the easy pick. Houston can start next week -

lol at thinking we running the same O plays as Montreal. Hollins is Dillon Mitchell here. But despite the narrative the O is averaging 32 points a game the last 3 weeks. The O is moving the ball tonight. The problem is the D can’t make a stop. -

Our O is averaging 32 a game the last 3 weeks. The D is garbage. O has had 3 drives. 2 scores. I mean. The D just sucks. Can’t tackle and our corners are being owned again. Houston, we got a problem and hope next week you can be part of the solution -
I guess maybe football is football but did Shay and smith not go to school in the USA? Their could be a learning curve but after 9 10 weeks giving them even 10 reps a game each for the last games certainly wouldn’t hurt. Shay at middle or WIL would be huge. Smith seems more griffin position to me. And I like griffin. I think replacing Kyrie with Shay would be a smart thing. Shay replacing Tony would be ok also. And Ayers takes Kyries spot. Griffin. Shay. Ayers. Could be a solid group. Liked that Woodbey kid also tho in pre season.

Gauthier I think takes reps at times. Cadawallader I don’t remember seeing him on the field defensively ever
-
Doubtful but who knows really. I’m sure if he 100 percent committed he might have a chance.

Unless you gonna go 3 Americans on the oline there really is nothing that can be done. That’s an off season gm thing. Guess when your gm takes the off season off, this is what happens but sure the lack of depth is on O’Shea. -
That makes sense. Forgot Logan was a RB by trade. Right. The dline the last 2 weeks have been much improved tho. Thomas starting is mind boggling stuff when he doesn’t need to but at this point there’s no use complaining cuz Jake gonna go out on his terms. I’d like to see Thomas off and woods on but woods I guess isn’t ready and isn’t Canadian. If someone could ask O’Shea straight up why Thomas starts and gets all these reps and actually not accept the answer and question him if he watches tape that would be great but our media lacks balls.

Looks like it’s hallett out lawson in. Weitz in Peterson out. Logan in. Jones out. Logan replaces the American. I don’t get Peterson out for weitz.

I will say I didn’t realize the 4 year age gap tho. Didn’t realize Eli was 4 years younger than 33 yr old kolo. Give Eli a shot. He can’t be worse. If he is then let them both go. Seems the problems on the oline are in that 33 plus group. Bryant kolo Neufeld all struggling vets. Perhaps all cooked. I could live with growing pains if it means there is light at the end of the tunnel. It appears right now there is no light tho. Time to replace the struggling vets. Kolo Thomas Neufeld Bryant all need to be replaced. Now is the time to start doing it. -
As opposed to putting on a receiver who won’t play at all or an extra lb who won’t play. Peterson going back on makes sense for Hallett and one of schmek or Thomas off for Lawson. Woods on for prob j jones ideally since Ayers actually does contribute on teams.

Considering Eli has been here since 2019 and kolo 2021, I somehow doubt it. I mean why? Cuz booch says so? I mean seriously. Why should Eli be better when every chance he was given he’s looked worse. College for Eli was a long time ago now. He’s not this prospect ppl like to pretend he is. He is what he is and what he is is a 6th lineman. Kolo ain’t it but Eli certainly isn’t either. Vibert is a center. Give him a shot. Or bring in an American one if you must cuz reality is if Vibert ain’t it then we currently don’t have anyone on the roster who is a good center. -

lol at thinking a guy who has been here since 2019 is any sort of solution. I mean the hills some of you chose to die on are pretty insane. It’s always something tho. lol at also pretending anyone actually watches the OL play. Some of you I think need to accept that you might not know as much as you think you do. -

Except for the last 2 3 weeks now. Kenny has some huge games then goes very quiet for long stretches. Seems to be his career honestly. Stretch of ridiculous games followed by stretch of invisibility followed by injury shortly. Unfortunately Kenny not worth the 300k and still isn’t. Actually honestly. He’s been over 100 yards twice in 10 games this year. His high being 207 week 5 and second highest 162 week 2. since week 5 has not gone over 100 yards receiving. I was surprised to see this. Dude really does put up a monster game or 2 followed by lots of average. Does he make us better? Probably. But probably by not as much as some might think.
