Colorado adjusted after the 1st. Maurice didnt. Connor Scheif Wheeler weren't good but played over 24 minutes... Ehlers played 12 and his line with Hayes and Perreault was our best. Coaching is a huge issue.

Wheeler and Connor made dumb ones 2 in regulation after Laine hit the crossbar. Nobody would shoot.. Grubauer was def out of position

Regardless... This team plays 1 period very good but then sleep for 2. Closed door meetings can't fix that. Jets gonna be 3rd in central. Lose to St Louis in 5 or 6.

Players only 25 minute closed door meeting after game 80 is so very concerning. There is a divide in the room... Its real. Likely due to the refusal to break up 55 and 26 or the lack of consequences for struggling Vets. Young guys eat **** when they **** up.. Vets? Back out next shift with no consequences ever. Must get tiring cuz seems to me the young guys tend to bring it mors often than our Vets do.

Its pretty obvious scheif and wheeler run the team and maurice lets them.. This is a huge problem. If ppl dont see it.. I dunno.. Considering all facts the only possible conclusion is they run the team and do as they please because 1. Maurice wont discipline them or 2. Break them up. Awful defensively yet on the PK and out with 1 minute left in games leading by 1.. Same ice time every game regardless of how they are playing. Im betting the other players have had enough.

Its a problem this year tho. Last year Scheif and Wheeler brought it every game in the o zone and D zone.. Last year was last year tho.. This is a different season. Last years Jets destroy this years 4 straight.. Im having a hard time believing they are just waiting for the playoffs to start..

Every player on the roster minus 2 guys have played with someone different.. 2 guys haven't.. Can anyone guess who those 2 are?? This is what causes dressing room issues... The constant playing of 55 and 26 regardless of how good or bad they are.. Regardless of how poor they are in the D zone.. Still on the PK.. Still out giving up leads with 1 minute to go. Still running the team.. Im pretty convinced 55 and 26 tell Maurice when they want ice and he says ok.. This is the likely cause of concern in the room.

Lol. The 20 year old is the problem? Seriously Laine has evolved in to a better player the last while. He was the guy setting up wheeler on the first line.. Hes also played well with Hayes. The problem is 55 and 26 and the refusal to break them up.. If u are Connor Ehlers Laine etc and u get benched for making a mistake or u get demoted for making a mistake, and u see 55 and 26 and 57 and even 33 do the same over and over with zero repercussions then what would u think? If im in that room im wondering when the Coach decides to hold Every one to the same standards. Switching out the LW every 5 games dont make a diff when your leaders are floating Its not the 20 yr old with 50 points thats the problem... Its a leadership and coaching problem. Dump n chase is stupid with a skill team. Break it down... Coaching issues : The PK.. Trouba on PP1 over Buff. Doing everything but breaking up 55 and 26... Hendricks in for Roslo.. (It was dumb) you play your best players.. Hendrix is not 1 of them. There are other issues such as ice time distribution among the 4 lines and lack of in game adjustments.. Minny beat us playing that same boring style every game this year.. Maurice had no answers. Player issues: honestly im gonna look at our leaders here.. Scheif Wheeler Buff.. Little, Perreault is a good vet.. Points are good but when u give up more than you put in.. Not good. Scheif and Wheeler are mailing it in since Jan 1st.. What happened at the ASB? Little is having a down year as is Perreault until recently. Buff has been hurt and kind of hasnt been as good himself. Its great to blame the future in Laine or Ehlers or Connor.. Niku.. Roslo etc.. But if all these guys need to put up 30 goals each for us to do well we are ******.. Its crazy.. We have most of the team in double digit goal scoring.. 10 Plus goals for like 12 13 guys maybe more. Our bottom 6 is solid.. Our top 6 is MIA.. Hayes has been consistent recently as has Connor and even Laine. Scheif Wheeler to a lesser extent Ehlers have not been. Im not sure why maurice refuses to break up scheif and wheeler.. Try it.... He needs to.. Its the only thing he hasn't done yet. Connor Scheif Laine Ehlers Hayes Wheeler. Then maybe the ice time is distributed more evenly all around.

I have heard the same but I've also heard Tina has a large say in things and she likes being here at home. Ive heard Lapo does want to be head coach but only if the situation is a good one and by that i mean he gets to pick his assitants, that is also a reason i feel he wouldn't have taken the SASK job as he'd be stuck with their assitant coaches

Sure. So break up 55 and 26 then. Since the leaders aren't leading its time for the Coach to start Coaching... Instead of changing the LW spot every 4 games... Its seriously the only thing he hasn't tried yet.. Why? Afraid it will work? Afraid it won't? Its not working now so why not just try it for a few games. Connor Scheif Laine Ehlers Hayes Wheeler Perreault Little Roslo Copp Lowry Tanev. Why not try it even? Break up the 2 guys hes refused 2 all year... Not once, was forced to 1 or 2 shifts a few weeks back tho and CSL looked good together. Why not try it? Consistent lack of effort is on coaches also.. Yeah the players play a role in that also... The Leaders have been floating and not even pretending to play in their D zone, but..its the coaches job to fix it. He hasn't even tried 2. No switching up the LW spot dont count either. Hes coddling 55 and more so 26... Its the only explanation really. Or They have pictures. Wheeler is 33... He just cant play the minutes hes played... Its just part of getting older... Its ok tho.. He can still play but maybe less of a role 5 on 5 would be best for all... Nothing wrong with playing 2nd line minutes plus PP time. Maurice needs to recognize this.

Ppl will throw out Quennville but I'd like to see a more defensively responsible coach like Vigneault or Tippet or a young guy like the Marlies Sheldon Keefe as coach. Its time. Hopefully nobody is delushional anymore about this 500 team since xmas... And their consistent lack of effort. Its time to be concerned. If you aren't, you need to pay attention more.

Its 2 late now but Maurice needs to go this off season. I like the guy but its pretty apparent that hes done as much as he could. Nice guy but.. Time to bring in a winner. 45 23 SOG. Replace Connor with Ehlers and the top 6 sucks. Maybe replace Ehlers with Connor next game. Why break up scheif and wheeler when u can just switch the left wing every few games. The lack of effort is concerning.. That shows me that Maurice has lost a portion of the room or the entire room... If the effort was there for 60 minutes consistently id say.. Its a player issue but its a reoccurring theme this year.. So coach has to step up and coach. Wheeler takes a slashing penalty.. Gets out the box.. Slashes the first guy he sees. Why does he do that? Cuz hes a vet and maurice rewards vets for being vets even when they absolutely suck. No accountability towards veteran players.. Looks like its a problem and I think one that might be causing some issues. If you are a non vet, you can't **** up once.. Maurice will sit u down.. If u are a vet.. **** up all u want.. Maurice rewards you. Young team tho... Must be frustrating for the younger players. Scheif and Wheeler are floating.. Its irrelevant who plays with them this year... Cuz its them that are making that line bad with their complete lack of effort in the D zone... If Maurice had any balls, he'd break them up or atleast when they are sucking bad give them less ice time... Nope tho.
