I never watched but.... I'd agree Cleveland let the raptors win those 2 in Toronto cuz the 4 wins they had were by a combined 5000000 points

Without Dressler signing here I'm not sure we get Smith. I'll go with both tho. Dressler is a veteran presence who busts his ass on and off the field. He's a very reliable receiver and seems to have a chip on his shoulder to prove Jones wrong. Smith is Dressler Jr. Both.

It wasn't me hyping Chychrun. I'm not that high on him at all and haven't been all year. He's very overrated in my opinion. Something ain't right with him. He's fallen from top 2 at the start of the year to possibly falling out of the top 12. I prefer Sergachev over Chychrun. Juolevi also.
-
Thing is... a guy like Fabbro or Bean could be there at 22 and could end up better than Chychrun. Heck Clague dineen LuJo could all be better and they will be available at 22 and 36 more than likely
-
I'd suspect 1. Toronto - Matthews 2. WPG - Laine 3. CBJ - Puljujarvi 4. Traded - PLD Tkachuk could go 5th 6th 7th at the latest. If he falls I'd be surprised but London is a very stacked team. Could see Brown going before him because of the Center vs Winger thing but I'd be shocked if he makes it past 7 and Arizona. 5th 6th 7th is my guess. Next year will be interesting for Tkachuk cuz Marner and Dvorak probably will both be in the nhl with Toronto and Arizona. Tkachuk isn't nhl ready yet so it will be interesting to see how he does without his 2 star linemates. Tkachuk will go back to London next year. It's highly unlikely that Marner and Dvorak do so we will see how he does without the 2 ready for nhl players
-
Yup. And that's the thing. If you are trading myers for example or Trouba for pick 4... why? We are loaded at forward prospects. PLD might be good but we don't need him. We need LHD help. It makes very little sense to trade for pick 4 unless the plan is to trade pick 4 for a later pick.... 8 to 11 probably. We need D prospects. We don't need PLD. We need LHD. It's likely a d man or 4 are available at 22 and 36. The equivalent of 4 firsts for Murray is crazy talk.

Perreault has missed significant time pretty much every season he's played. Scheif was a rookie pretty much 2 years ago. There's a difference

The whole CTE issue is interesting, Years upon years ago these guys had no idea that any of this stuff really existed, at least it wasn't really confirmed. The technology wasn't there to prove it. Plus, these guys grow up playing the sport also, who is to say that some of this stuff doesn't start developing in Junior football or Peewee or whatever. In the past, i kind of look at it and go, hmm that's too bad. They didn't really know that things like that happened tho.Now a days tho, i think the onus is on the player ever more, they know the risk, they know it, they can't blame anyone but themselves. Nobody is forcing them to play, it's on the player and the parents for that matter. You know the risks now...back in the day tho, you didn't so as harsh as it may be to say, It's unfortunate but, the fact that this CTE thing is relatively new, and wasn't really diagnosed until very recently, players from the 60's 70's 80's early 90's even, It's to bad but... you play a contact sport, you know the risks you take. Now a days, I feel it's even more on the player, You definitely know the risks, and it's been proven that some of those risks are quite significant, you still chose to play tho. NFL teams should probably make guys sign some sort of letters of intent showing that they know the risks and are willing to accept the consequences. Maybe have it part of the contract, player doesn't agree, he doesn't play. If he does, he plays.
-
Yup. Both Richards and Daniels (both had off season surgery) were full participants today.
-
Perreault has a history tho. Scheif? not so much, Enstrom? I'd say hes as durable as Perreault. Ehlers? rookie. Really, Ehlers and Scheif don't really apply to this. But yeah I'd say Perreault is about as durable as Enstrom which for the last several years, isn't very durable at all.
-
Yeah that is a concern for sure with Perreault. Doesn't really play more than 65 70 games a year. I'd expect if Perreault went down, Petan would be the first call up. Lemieux i see more as a 4th liner, he could very well be there to start the year depending on his camp. It would be so much easier lol if you could just cut guys and release them from their contracts, Jets have a ton of forward depth and i'm not sure i see the point in keeping guys like Stafford,Burmi,Thorburn around over some of the younger guys who are more important to our future. But I guess i have Petan in the lineup already so yeah a guy like Lemieux might make some sense. Lemieux,Lowry,Dano has a nice ring to it also, might be a better 4th line tho.

Don't doubt it one bit. They seem high on Davis. Think he might surprise some people and will start for the team. I'm under the impression it's just day 1 and things can and more than likely will change .
-
Not sure Comrie qualifies. He played a season in the AHL.. he might but it very well could be (drafted goalie)(think the Jets take a goalie with a pick this year eventually) and free agent signing goalie instead.
-
Darrin Bauming posted an "updated" depth chart on twitter, I'm just gonna go off my memory here so a couple could be wrong but QB- Willy RB- Harris REC- Smith,Dressler,Adams,Kohlert,Cone OL -Neufeld,Daniels,Goossen,Chung,Bryant DL - Cole,Cummings,Shologan,Westerman LB- Leggett,Wild,Bass DB- Randle,Johnson,Posey(i think),Adams S- Harris Bold = Natioanals I still wouldn't read to much in to the depth chart right now tho, It's day 1. Give it a week and things will change.

Try Trouba for Murray. That's what it would take. Honestly, I think the Jets might make some trades but... i think those trades would involve guys like Stafford, Burmi, Postma maybe, Chiarot maybe, maybe Stuart, Pavelec maybe, guys like that. The best we'd get back is Picks. Doubt a guy like Dano would be shopped, he showed well and was a key piece in a trade for Ladd and fits in to the young group, Roslovic? he was just drafted last year and had a good season by all accounts on a bad Miami hockey team. (Miami Of Ohio). This thread is great and all but... realistically, we won't be trading for superstars or guys of that nature. Murray would be nice but not gonna give up what it would take to get him and why would Columbus trade him exactly. Roslovic won't be traded either, he's an unknown at the moment, looks like he has the ability to be a good center in the NHL tho, Jets aren't gonna trade him and they certainly won't trade Dano, a guy they just traded for. Stafford,Burmi,Postma,Chiarot,Stuart,Pavelec,Thorburn maybe - These are the guys most likely to be traded if there are trades which i'm sure there will be. These guys don't get you back much more than draft picks. Bundle them up all you want, you still aren't getting much for them. They are easily replaceable players that every team has.. Draft Picks at most, guys similar to them at best. Maybe Murray is a possibility but i'm sure in order to get Murray "on the cheap", we'd have to take back one of those really bad contracts that columbus has, and i don't think the Jets will do that. It would still require Trouba or something like that but... if we took back a bad contract, we won't cuz the Jets don't roll like that, It might make Columbus think of adding Murray. But i doubt that happens. Murray has legit potential, he's already a top 4 LHD, he's got potential to be a legit #1 D tho. And those guys certainly aren't cheap. Why would Columbus trade him tho, I wouldn't if i was them. He's cheap, he's on a good contract, he's very good. He's going nowhere.

From my understanding, mostly every time WWE comes here, the crowd is pretty much full and loud as loud can be. Give us a PPV (i'd prefer the PPV to Raw or Smackdown) because at least you know what you'd get before hand, I think the crowd would be loud. I remember when Raw and Smackdown were here not so long ago, the back to back shows, the Crowd was hot as hot can be.

He won't be playing. He's playing for Team Finland at the World Cup. He's not playing in the young stars tourney at all. He should be at developmental camp in WPG but it's highly unlikely he even plays 1 game at that young stars exhibition tournament where the winner gets nothing.

Compared to who tho? I mean, the Riders have had the biggest turnover on that roster since the Mike Kelly regime in Winnipeg. The Riders are a bunch of unknowns, their Canadian depth is lacking also. Will the Riders be better than last year? I'm not sure at this point in time I can say Yes they will be. They are the team with by far the most question marks heading in to the season, and honestly, I feel QB is one of their biggest question marks, Let's not Pretend that Durant hasn't been injured badly the last 2 seasons... In my opinion, it's pretty likely that he gets hurt again. Then what?

Hid dad does but I believe his mom passed away a few years ago http://passages.winnipegfreepress.com/passage-details/id-102906/Loretta_Irvine Yup. Unfortunately

I'll just try again with the lines. I'm going to assume some trades take place b4 or at the draft with this one so you won't see Stafford or Burmi here Connor Scheif Wheeler - speed Laine Little Ehlers - another line with legit ability to dominate Perreault Lowry Dano - strong defensively responsible 3rd line Petan Copp Armia - not your average 4th line Buff Trouba Myers Enstrom Postma Morrissey Pav. Hellebuyck Thorburn as 13th press box forward Stuart and Chiarot as 7 8 d men upstairs
-
Kbf: Laine making the world cup almost certainly guarantees he's not a participant in the young stars tourney. Might have to settle for Connor

#WWEWinnipeg trending tonight. Lower bowl completely sold out. We so deserve a PPV.
