I'd honestly expect Laine to be eased in to the lineup, I'm not sure he's a top 6 guy right off the bat, should he be? Maybe but... will he be? I'm not sure. Think with POMO, you need to show you can be responsible defensively first, Laine is a pretty good defensive player but... he is gonna have to earn POMO's trust, wouldn't shock me if he starts the year on the 3rd line similar to how Ehlers did and struggles a bit, but...eventually he will move up and play with playmakers and will flourish, much like Ehlers did also when he was moved up to play with Scheif and Wheeler... 20 goals? Yeah it's possible for sure, maybe 30, he has one hell of a shot, but... he needs to play with guys who will get him the puck... having him play with Lowry for example, might not be the best thing for his offensive ability, but it might be were POMO starts him. Hard to say... Personally, I'd love our top 6 to be a combo of Ehlers,Scheif,Wheeler,Perreault,Little,Laine... that's probably our 6 best players... but... at the same time, Lowry and Stafford on a line with Connor is probably not helpful to Connor, Lowry and Stafford can't keep up, Connor is all speed speed speed... It will be interesting to see how POMO has his lines... It actually might make more sense to put Connor with Scheif and Wheeler and Laine with Little and Ehlers... But who knows what happens. So many options really.

Laine or Puljujarvi could play in the A if need be, So could Connor.. Will they? who knows, that depends on what they do at training camp i'd guess but if it looks like they might need some time to adapt to the North American style of game (more so Laine here, who needs to work on his skating), Starting him in the A is a legit option, Connor too, they could start in the A, it doesn't mean they will stay there all year but they could start in the A. It's an option. Is it a likely option? Probably not but you never know... I mean, maybe it's just me but I've seen Connor play more than I have seen Laine play and Connor, while he looks ready offensively, his D game needs some work, Laine? He looks good in the games (maybe 4) I've seen and I do think he is one of the 3 NHL ready prospects in this draft but... if he's not ready and he needs some time to get used to the smaller ice surface, then why not start him with the Moose...

And I'd we traded to 4. We wouldn't be taking a d man either. It would be for PLD. Or we could then trade 4 to a team like Montreal for 9 and their 2nd or Calgary 6th and their 2nd or really... a team between 6 and 9 for the first and 2nd and take a d man between 6 and 9. If we trade for 4th and don't trade down with the 4th... it's for PLD or Brown or Jost even. 4 is to high to take a d man this year. Chychrun Sergachev Juolevi Bean McAvoy Fabbro.... not much of a difference between them at all. Bean could be the best of the bunch and be picked last. No D man has really distinguished himself as a can't miss prospect in this draft. More than likely stafford is a jet until the trade deadline. But it's possible that they trade him at the draft in a month and a bit. Who knows really. I'll say this tho... if he isn't traded he will be on the Jets roster. Laine or Puljujarvi would probably start in the A or on the third line. Same with Connor.
