Jets have several guys who could turn out to be high end top tier superstars Scheif, He's that legit number 1 center that they hope he would be when drafted and his line is the most dangerous line on the ice Wheeler - How can anyone say he's not when he's top 5 in RW scoring the last 5 years Ehlers- The kid is young but has a ton of high end skill... The ESW line is as legit as any first line in the league Connor - Kid has potential to be very good, people should lower their expectations a bit for a couple years first tho cuz it takes some time Even Nic Petan has high end top tier superstar potential, you can actually see the game slowing down for him. He would probably be more of a set up guy tho but still... The talent is there for sure. Jets are a very good young team with the potential to be very very good for a very long time. Legit franchise players like Crosby, OVI, McDavid don't come around very often. Patrick Kane also, I know people consider Toews to be a franchise player but... Kane is the guy that makes the Hawks go for sure and it's not even close.

I have my doubts but like i sort of said lol, I hope it happens also. Downtown is changing big time, and has the last several years... Still a few problem areas but slowly (not even that slowly actually) but surely, things are changing. Let's not forget the Hotel across from MTS and the very cool looking Glasshouse tower there and we can even throw in Hydro and the renovated very neat looking Avenue building.

Jamie Benn is another example of a guy picked late, or not at all even and now him and seguin are lighting it up for Dallas. Franchise players are nice to have and it would be nice to have a guy like OVI or Crosby or maybe Matthews ( no guarantee Matthews is as good tho) (he's just a prospect right now) but... as much as i'd love to have that guy that scores 40 or 50 goals and is the face of the franchise, I'm more than fine with having 4 or 5 or 6 guys who are able to pop 20 25 or more goals each...Scheif,Wheeler,Buff,Little if he was healthy, Ehlers if he didn't play with Thorbs for half a season,Connor, these are guys that can do that.. Perreault maybe even but he's more of an Assist guy. But that's just as good as having that franchise player.

All I know, People can put "fans" in to different groups all they want but at the end of the day, I'd rather talk football with people who aren't negative all the time, I mean, personally, I'm not a big fan of negativity, I don't really see the point of it, I don't see the need for it, I don't think it helps and just my opinion but i think people who need to be negative all the time have some serious issues with their life cuz how can things really be that bad always. I've always been under the impression that sports in general, hockey,soccer,football, whatever really,Golf, curling, name it, There are no guarantees ever, As a fan, all we can really do is hope for the best and hope our favorite teams or player does well, if not? Oh well right, there's always next time. After all, It's just sports and while i enjoy sports, The bombers or Jets for that matter winning or losing, yeah it's better when they are winning but if they lose, the fact is, just like if they win, tomorrow is a new day and the sun will likely rise. Yeah people can be all negative all the time, whatever, go ahead, doesn't really bother me but For the life of me, I've never understood how people could be negative about things ALL THE TIME. It makes no sense. Things are never as bad as it seems to be, I mean i don't want to go there but... when you really think about it in the big picture, The bombers or Jets losing? Yeah it sucks but... you know what, at least we have teams to cheer for, at least i can go outside and not get shot or bombed lol, sometimes perspective on life in general is needed, Sports is great but it's entertainment really and quite frankly, if you aren't entertained by it or it causes you stress and to be so negative all the time, why are you watching it? Sports man, the one guarantee about all sports is there are no guarantees. Who knows what could happen. It's actually what makes sports so great actually, Cuz you never know whats gonna happen. And to bring this back on Topic, Doug Brown, well he comes across as someone who is negative for the sake of being negative, Unless old Mr Brown actually believes he has all the answers to everything, which wouldn't surprise me in the least. The guy talks down to people constantly and his act has grown a little old. Doug Brown was a good football player, but just because he was a good football player... It doesn't mean he's a good "writer" or whatever his job title is.

Arizona has the tie breaker. It's ROW's. It's 5th or 6th last for the Jets only, meaning top 10 pick guaranteed and more than likely top 5 or 6 pick since it seems pretty damn unlikely that teams behind the Jets in the standings would win all 3 lotto spots. I personally think the chances of the Jets picking top 3 are greater than them picking in the 7-9 range.

I'm not convinced this "SKY CITY" development happens. Fortress is kind of an iffy group. They have promised other projects but they never happen or they sell it to someone else. Not convinced it happens but would be cool if it did.

I think Copp has more O potential than Lowry so have Connor and Copp together on the third line with a guy like Dano or Armia might make more sense. 2 michigan kids with some skill for sure.

Nope cuz they were a top 10 possession team with Ladd also. It's really as simple as bad goaltending. Pav has played 3 or 5 more games than helle has and has less wins. Hutch has 9 wins. It's really that simple. Helle has the most wins for the jets this year and hasn't played for what? 2 3 months now.

Nothing. Jets are a top 10 possession team. Pav and Hutch sucked earlier. PK sucked. PP sucked. Pav is having his 1 week hot streak again. He wasn't good tho and hasn't been despite what the announcers try to say. Copp is playing well cuz he's not playing with thorburn. Amazing what happens when you put 2 skilled guys like Petan and Armia with copp. Lowry still struggling and will continue to until he isn't playing with Thor. Guys like thorburn Peluso Stuart pav need to be replaced and they already have the kids to replace them with. Offseason will be interesting cuz we will find out if loyalty or winning is more important to the Jets

Well deserved win. Jets were the better team. Get a better goalie and this team is very good. Pavelec needs to go. 1 good week per season doesn't cut it in the nhl

I honestly don't see the Jets taking Chychrun. They like high character guys with strong work ethic and hockey smarts, I'm not sure that applies to Chychrun. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to learn they have Sergachev rated higher.

Jets are a very good 5 on 5 team and what you've seen recently is when they don't take as many penalties, they start to win games, goalies have played well recently also, they have started winning, It's not about the age of the team, That's a quite frankly, BULLSHIT weak excuse, it's the PP, it's the PK and it's well below league average goaltending for a long long stretch of the season, the only team their goalie ac tually posted league average numbers was when Helle was called up.

Chychrun actually might fall and I'm not sure I'd take him if he did, He's a guy that I'll just leave to the scouts to judge, they get to talk to him, I don't, something is off there tho, Tkachuk could go anywhere from 4th to 10th probably, depending on the needs of the teams who are picking in front of us..
