Game 56 : Jets @ Hurricane Carter
Goalie replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Hutch will play. Maurice even hinted at it. Right now they are pretty much showcasing hutch and Pav for a possible trade. -
No. It's never just 1 guy and stu did have pk time. They are just more aggressive. They played a passive box b4... now they play a more aggressive one.
-
1 game probably. Lol.
-
I'd take ekblad over trouba and Myers but... we picked what? 7th not 1st
-
Ekblad ehlers and Larkin are the gems of that draft for sure. Ekblad went first so not a steal. Ehlers was kind of a steal as wad Larkin. Pastrnak is ok too but doesn't have the high end potential like ehlers

Woo. Jets barely beat the worst team in the league. Pav was ok. Oilers maybe had 5 quality shots on goal. Listening to the announcers verbally jets off McDavid all night was annoying and him being stopped to lose the game was pretty nice. Cbc announcers were almost crying.

Was at the moose game this afternoon. Tough loss in OT. Really good game tho. 3 fights. De Leo scored again. Guy deserves a call up. They went retro with the old 96 moose jerseys. Whole arena went retro. Was super neat. Probably about 7500 in the house. Good game. Moose deserved the win IMO. Got outplayed badly in the second but 1st and 3rd were really good. Comrie was very good. No question that De Leo Petan and Morrissey are very good.

Definition of a scapegoat. The GM is the big problem there. Minny has nothing in the system at all. I'd seriously consider yeo as an assistant coach for the jets if he'd take it
-
Mid to late October so plus 5 or 10 still lol.
-
Rumors have it the cap may drop somewhat significantly next season. Somewhere between 67 and 68 million. Whats that mean. It means Ladd won't get close to 6 million a year as a UFA. He won't get it here or anywhere
-
Stamkos doesn't exactly light it up in the playoffs so losing him would be perhaps not as bad as some think.
-
Guess the commissioner admitting that it's a league wide problem isn't enough? K. Cool. Buff signed BTW.
-
Ottawa being one seeing as how they never even offered Capicotti a new deal. Says the guy who signed Harris to back up Henry. So basically not play for a year but get paid 400K the next year. God I hope Henry ***** them over and continues playing for 2 more seasons
-
Good luck to Lirim. Classy for sure. Wouldn't expect anything less afterall if not for Walters specifically and the Bombers... most of us would have no idea who Lirim is. Bombers gave him a shot.

I get that some people are probably living in the past and think you have to have X number of National oline. I get it. That's how it used to be. But thing is the D's around the league have evolved and gotten better. DL are now mostly made of dominating Americans trained in the NCAA taking on cis trained CDNS. You have exceptions like Laurent but he's not CIS trained. What that means to me and what that tells me is.... sure having 3 or 4 or 5 Canadian starters on the Oline would be nice but.... it's not necessary cuz now you see CDN rbs. Receivers. DE. DT. LB. DB. I guess put it this way.... you have to start a minimum of 7 Canadian players right. Who says most have to be on the oline tho? It wouldn't surprise me if we go 3 internationals on the oline and 2 nationals in Chungh and Goossen. And I think what you will see soon is lots of teams going to more international based Oline because quite simply.... your QB is your biggest investment and I'm order to keep that investment upright... why not play your national talent elsewhere. Let's look at this year's potential National starters RB Harris OL Chungh Goossen Neufeld WR Kohlert DL Shologan Westerman LB Hurl DB Bucknor S Waggoner That's 10 guys who can start Let's just pretend Waggoner doesn't start... you got 9 still... Hurl? That's 8 still.... Neufeld? Still 7 starting. Meaning 3 internationals on the oline doesn't seem to be that far fetched What they have done this week in signing Shologan and Harris is give themselves some massive ratio flexibility

I don't think Pav would agree to be sent down. He refused years ago. Atlanta was forced to make a choice between him and Lehtonen. They chose Pav.
-
I actually agree with that. Pav and Ladd for Kempe and a 2nd maybe more
-
Weirdly enough. He is still producing at a second line level
-
5.5 x 5 or 6 is fair. 5 million x 7 is fair also
-
Then Ladd needs to lower his demands. It's a 2 Way street here.
-
Pav or Hutch will be traded soon enough. It's the right move for now. Jets are now in semi tank mode.
-
You are kidding yourself if you think these guys are perfect little angels. The bogo stuff wasn't rumors. It was fact. Fact that can be proven but isn't allowed to be
-
LOL. not a chance. PAVELEC SUCKS... everyone knows it. I don't understand how you don't Frosty. LOL. Helle put up better numbers than PAV has... that's reality, The goaltending is not the issue, with PAV this team is dead last in the league cuz he doesn't steal any games.... This is temporary, Jets didn't need a veteran goaltender at all... Hellebuyck has better numbers than 90 percent of the starters in the league.
-
Helle is the goaltender of the future. He doesn't require waivers. I agree with TUP... a trade is in the works for one of Pav or Hutch and Helle will be back up shortly. Maurice even called it short term. Helle will be back soon. Pav or Hutch will be traded. Count on it. Reality tho, If PAV didn't get hurt, Helle would have spent the entire year with the Moose, he's on his ELC, he doesn't require waivers, Hutch and Pav do and while it's somewhat unlikely they would get picked up on waivers, they might. Trade in the works for sure. In the mean time, the Tank Commander duo is back... I guess, if not for Helle, we probably would be last place in the league right now. He came in and did his job almost too well actually, cuz my guess is if PAV and Hutch were starting all year, we'd probably be dead last.

Uniform changes with Adidas may not be dramatic
Goalie replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Yup and eventhough we all sit here and talk about bombers year round, the reality is the masses don't. The masses are watching the JETS and by may, lol, they are already done but by MAY...they will be officially.
