  1. Changing coaches don't work. It's the core that is rotten. The last time the team played this bad... Noel Was fired. Changing coaches is letting the same core off the hook. Buff. Ladd. Toby. Stuart all can go.
  2. If you use Corsi Enstrom was the worst jets d man tonight.
  3. How's this.... Ladd Buff Myers to Colorado for Duchene Barrie and maybe a 1st.
  4. Rebuild with Wheeler Little Scheif Ehlers Petan as your new core. Lowry and Copp too. Maybe Trouba also but not sold on him.
  5. Time for change. The core is rotten. Trade Ladd. Buff. Enstrom. Stuart. Stafford (not core but 4.35 million of wasted space ) Burmi. Send Chiarot and Postma to the Moose. Not a chance either get claimed
  6. Chevy has not handled this situation very well so far Lots of big name guys are playing on the last year of their deals tho. Stamkos being one
  7. Gotta move one or both of Ladd to send a message
  8. I'd trade buff and Ladd to send a message and because they suck. The team is playing like their captain. They look terrible. Chevy is hopefully on the phone trading these guys b4 other teams realize they suck
  9. Trade buff. Liability defensively
  10. They have apparently agreed on term. It's the cash that they haven't. 6 years believed to be the agreed upon term with Ladd
  11. Injury or still recovering from his off season surgery. Ladd is a slow starter tho.... always has been.
  12. Ladd will be signed. Buff won't be
  13. Didn't they have a similar record at this point last year?
  14. LOL. every team goes through stretches of the season where they struggle, Jets are doing it now. It is what it is. It's hockey, no team wins every game... and if the season ended today the Jets would be in the playoffs... Need to step back from the ledge and realize that this year might in fact be one of those one steps back to take 2 or 3 steps forward next year type of years.. Ladd,Buff,Perreault, Thorburn,Burmi,Stuart? Yup and replace them with who exactly? Sorry it don't work like that... Eventually some of these guys might get dealt, but not all of them that's for sure. Stuart seems to be the fans whipping boy but he hasn't been nearly as bad as trouba or chiarot .
  15. Don't really care for the whole "kool-aide gang" comment. I'm guessing you are refering to Oshea and the coaches here? I don't know man but... I think if we have truly learned one thing about Mike O'shea, it's that he will not throw players under the bus in public, he's said it multiple times even, I'm not sure why some people have issues with that... Don't kid yourself, MOS recognizes the problems too, he's just not gonna come out and throw anyone under the bus, Neither did walters really, He just said that certain areas, all areas need to improve and you know what, He's right.. Every GM would say that too, Even Calgary and Hamilton and the best teams in the league are always looking to improve, Just cuz MOS doesn't come out and name names and throw people under the bus, doesn't mean he doesn't recognize the problems... MOS seems to be learning from his past mistakes, he fire bellefeuille pretty quickly after the season ended, he obvious recognized the O was a problem. Walters didn't exactly name names either... he mentioned positions and how they'd like to improve on some... He didn't say "this guy" sucked, he said we need to get better at these positions... specifically DL and Receiver.. He didn't name names. The only guy he half threw under the bus was Brohm when he said, he pissed his chance away.
  16. I listened to both parts about 45 minutes ago. Not bad, KW does recognize the issues, Says their receivers don't really stack up with the receivers on other teams, we know this but nice to see KW saying it, Mentioned the DLine and how they want improvement there, Mentioned Zach Anderson specifically saying he bulked up too much this year and next year he will hopefully be down some weight and fully recovered from his surgery, Got the feeling that maybe a guy like Turner won't be around much longer.. Also thought his thoughts on Brohm was interesting but... i didn't really see him defending him, basically said, he had his chance but pissed it away, Brohms a goner... Sounded like he was more high on Marve than Brohm actually but Marve had to retire, we all know that. Do agree that the talent on the oline is there, Bryant,Chungh,Goossen and Jace Daniels are a good group, they really just need a guard and they should be better... never mentioned Picard or Neufeld once. Found that interesting, did mention that they might have to release some players making some good money in the future... Thought it was good, spoke about the scouting and how they are talking about if they need to add another scout or more, found that interesting. Lots of the questions weren't very good tho, not very well thought out questions by our media, never did get in to specifics too much... would have liked to see the media ask some tougher more interesting questions but they are what they are I guess. Listening to Walters really makes me want to see him do well, The guy obviously cares quite a bit. Found his comment about Guelph quite interesting, yeah we will be there around Christmas to see familly, what about the job Friesen asks? Says it's funny how these rumors start.
  17. Little Wheeler and Scheif are guys who show up every game. Ehlers is a young kid with tons of potential. Trouba has regressed but still young... Lowry looks like he's skating in quicksand... he's having a sophomore slump for sure but young.... Copp Petan have skills... not being played enough tho. The team has some holes for sure... big ones actually... but always figured one step back this year
  18. Myers was good. I'd say the Jets got jobbed a bit. Lots of iffy calls and non calls for sure. Puck hits the net above the glass... play continues... Toby gets a tripping penalty. Stafford nailed from behind big time and no call... very weak interference call on buff. But.. they did have their chances... 4 minute power play and did nothing.... also had several breakdowns and stars made them pay. Stars aren't as good as their record Says they are... Jets played pretty Damn good in the 2nd and 3rd... outplayed Dallas even just.. couldn't capitalize and the stars did. Gonna say it... if you aren't gonna give petan and Copp more than 5 minutes of Ice time.... they'd be better off with the Moose. Time to seriously look at moving one or both of Ladd and Buff. Team seems just lost.... not even close to the team who made the playoffs last year and no... one player is not the reason for their struggles this year. Freddie Mercury would probably be a big fan of the Jets... as they appear to be the great pretenders
  19. Probably cuz bellefool was in charge of the O and it sucked.
  20. No. Thorburn and Burmi are switching spots. Yup. Thorburn Lowry Stafford Petan Copp Burmi
  21. Wwe will get better when vince dies or gives up the creative decisions to hhh. NXT is awesome and hunter Is tge Man in charge
  22. I'm sure the OC and O'shea will pick the O coaches and I highly doubt that dahlquist is retained. And if you actually listened to his press conference... you'd know this already.
  23. I disagree with starting 4 nationals on the oline, I think I'd rather start 3 americans on the oline, you can start your nationals elsewhere... Westerman,Kohlert,Chungh,Goossen, Hurl?, Safety, and then 1 other national elsewhere makes way more sense.. say we sign a guy like Bilukidi, or maybe Andrew Harris... This idea that you need to start your nationals on the oline is so old school, yeah ideally that's how you do it but.. in reality, why not start them elsewhere and protect your QB a bit better by starting talent that is better. I don't get the need to start 4 nationals on the oline thing... it really doesn't make sense, I mean, if you have the talent it makes sense but... we don't so for a team like the bombers, it would make more sense to start nationals elsewhere in the lineup and go 3 Americans on the oline.. Goossen,Chung, Bryant,Daniels, American Guard and we are good to go.
  24. Regarding Pentons list of guys, I think He's just guessing for the most part... It really doesn't take much to look around the league and see guys who could be the next OC.. I mean, we all could make a list of guys.. I think sometimes the media here tries to push their guesses as being facts, What Penton is doing is more than likely, just guessing. I'm sure some names on that list are candidates, i'm sure some aren't. They aren't gonna say who the candidates are, that's fine and how it should be. I see that list as potential candidates along with several other potential candidates also. Cortez has looked average in BC, Condell doesn't look so good without Collaros, I don't think these guys are legit candidates, 1.. they have jobs already and 2. I just don't think they'd be willing to leave their current jobs for a lateral move, even if you thrown an assistant coach tag with it.. Not sure who the candidates are, no use in really over analyzing anything just yet... Guess, I'll just have to wait until they name the OC... I can already see the posts tho from some people... whatever tho really... Pretty sure the bombers are damned if they do and damned if they don't regardless. If i had to guess... I'd say in no particular order... Lapolice, Khari,Brady,Buck,Howell, Jarious Jackson, Maybe a guy like Damon Allen even, maybe Bob Dyce, not sure I like Dyce as OC tho... But i'm sure theres a few more candidates too. I'm gonna go ahead and just ignore the folks who constantly dwell on the negatives and have faith that the guy that will be our next OC, people will complain, oh people will complain, cuz that's what people do, but.. I think he will be the right guy for the job.
  25. During training camp, there was a guy who helped out as a guest coach with us, has ties with O'shea and actually was a former player, more like a former kicker in this league, for the Argos actually, Noel Prefontaine, I'd hope O'shea would give Prefontaine consideration as Special Teams Coach. Dyce? Meh, weren't the riders special teams when he was in charge of them not very good? Not sure how i feel about dyce, be nice to have dyce back on staff but maybe more as a receivers coach or offensive assistant. Or maybe a guy like Markus Howell would make a good special teams coach too.
