They have. Hill was on the PR. Scott was. They have. -
Yeah. What buildings exactly. And just for the record there is one in Winnipeg that's being built now... the convention center but... when MTS was built... it was a different time and Era. It's easy to say should have could have but... the reality at that time was they couldn't so they didn't. For real... go Google the mts center and articles from when it was built. .. so much opposition. Hell, they had to reuse some old Eaton bricks just so that Eatons group would shut up. The arena wasn't supposed to look like it does in its original concept. It was changed to shut up groups against it. Where's the fake northern lights above the arena. It was there in the original drawings bur so much had to change. So so much. Lol at thinking they could have blocked off Hargreaves. Not a chance. As is they had a pretty tough time getting it done.

Calling it now. Burris gets injured.

Adams Randle and B Johnson are better. Demond and Bucknor are our weak links -

Miller isn't good but i don't think he's as awful as Chevy.... Sometimes, and i doubt it makes a difference with Miller but sometimes a change of scenery helps a guy out.. perhaps that is the case with Miller, who knows... who really cares, he probably won't see the field anytime soon if ever anyway. Probably just looking at guys who they might have interest in bringing back next year or to florida for the mini camps... Figured this would be the case when the PR was expanded, bring in a bunch of guys, get a look at them... let them go, bring in other guys, take a look, let them go, repeat.. Those who stand our or look like they might have something, let them know and invite them to the mini camp in Florida next year. -
Context is important in looking at ice time.... 20 minutes killing penalties, down 2 3 0 at one point... how often are you gonna play your 4th line when you are down by 2 or 3 goals trying to catch up... guess what, it almost worked too, Jets for as awful as they played, they were 1 shot away from tying a game they had no business being in. Every coach does that, it wasn't a blowout, Jets still had a chance, those 4th line guys don't kill penalties or play on the power play... I like Petan, I like Copp but these aren't the guys you want to put on the Ice when you are down by 3 goals trying to tie the game... You want your top 2 lines out there lots... it almost worked too. Ice time, look at the context first and it all makes sense in the end. JETS were on the PK basically for an entire period...

Walters might leave on his own to Guelph. Coach Mike Riley might become available in the off-season. Would he be a good GM candidate? Sometimes before posting, you gotta ask yourself... why would he want too? The guy has money, he has a family, why would he want too. I don't see why he would want too and it's kind of pointless to mention his name even.

I think O'shea was right in that whole playoff mode do or die stuff, look at Montreal, they were told the game vs US was basically do or die, they were treating it as a playoff game, they won sure but what have they done since? Lose every game they have played and only pick up points in garbage time in those games, they have looked awful actually. Prior to this game vs BC, those other games weren't do or die, they really weren't, they would have been nice to win and we probably should have won vs Edmonton if not for our kicker but... those games really weren't do or die games, this one vs BC was and special teams and D responded... the O is all marcel and O'shea has made it quite clear that the O is Marcel and just Marcel, the O wasn't great, they were terrible really for 3, ok almost the full 4 quarters, actually yeah they were awful all game, D and Special teams won the game.. It shows tho that even though the O is garbage, that if you win 2 of the 3 phases in football, you can win a game.. That last game vs BC proved it... you don't need your O to be dominant, yeah it would help cuz if they were, that game vs Edmonton and vs Calgary for that matter and last week vs BC, they wouldn't have been close and we'd probably be on a 3 game win streak with just an average O but... the O isn't average, they are awful. The O is the biggest problem on the team but...they had 1 turnover all game and that was on a 3rd and 1.5 gamble that was stuffed, win the turnover battle, win the game... even with a crappy O.

They say over 2 million people voted at the advanced polls, To me this sound like People wanting change, Not sure what the final numbers will be but i think the cons are done, Liberals will probably win. It's weird, I don't consider myself a con, liberal or NDP, i vote for the person i feel would best represent what i want in a person running things, the party to me is irrelevant...More people should think like this, If the con guy in the riding is a huge ****** and a bad person, why would anyone vote for him? because they consider themselves a conservative? makes no sense to me. But... i will say this, i was very undecided on who to vote for, but those damn commericals the Cons are running, the more i see them, the more it makes me want to vote for someone not conservative... and since i Don't really like Muclair or whatever his name is, that leaves 1 option and i feel that 2 million people voting at advanced polls say that we all know who that 1 option actually is.... It ain't harper, it ain't the NDP... Liberals win and it won't be as close as people think.

Too bad this city not build for the future. It's called supply and demand. It works better that way. Why have a 18000 seat arena when 15 and a bit sells out every game. Jets make more money off ticket prices than several teams in the league with bigger buildings. My gf and I were gonna go to a game in Florida last year. Like 150 plane ride and 10 buck tickets. Back when the arena was built true north wasn't as big as they are now also and really there was zero talk of nhl coming back. They built it for the moose and concerts really.
-
Jets are sold out every game. Yeah the arena is the smallest but it's sold out every game. If your arena seats 18000 and you get 12 13000. That's drawing less than the Jets. Jets can only get 15 and a bit out to games at mts Centre. Just cuz mts is small it doesn't mean the jets are the worst draw in the league. If they had a 17 18000 seat arena they would sell out. You hear a true north and cheering for the jets in every building they play in. In Calgary and Vancouver the Jets seem like they have more fans than the flames and Canucks do when they play. Remember watching jets vs flames in Calgary and if didn't know better... swear the jets were the home team. Jets are a very good draw in lots of markets. Minny. Calgary. Vancouver. Edmonton. Name it. There will be lots of jets fans there.
-
Ice time was low cuz jets spent about 20 minutes killing penalties. Not gonna play the 4th line lots when losing by 2 or 3 either.

Als O is horrible and I doubt Glenn helps. He hasn't been good for the riders recently
-
Pav Wheeler Perreault scheif ehlers and Petan were probably the only ones not hung over. Rest of them weren't good at all.
-
Probably the most one sided officiating game I've seen in a while. Also puck was sure bouncing lots. Barclay's is not good for hockey. Weird angles too.
-
Officials are bad but so are the jets today. Pav standing on his head
-
Very one sided and weak calls for sure.
-
Brooklyn Brooklyn. Refs jobbing the Jets so far. 1-0 Islanders after 1
-
And an illegal block. We were over due to catch a break though. That wasn't a block. It was just a collision. Stoudermire was running his route and the BC player ran into him.I dunno. I thought they caught a break there. Intentional or not there was illegal contact. Is it illegal contact if you are running your route and the dB runs in to you. Both guys were on the field for a bit after. Neither saw it coming.

Copp is really good at faceoffs now.

The writing is on the wall for MB. O'shea has made it pretty clear in my opinion that MB is a goner. Just pointless to fire him now tho. But reading between the lines the last several weeks... MOS recognizes that the O is a big problem and a change will happen

Odds and Sods - Game 15 Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Lions
Goalie replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Not much of one tho. If he was here all season sure but bass Westerman and Adams are the MVPS of this team. -
Not the type of guy you want the young guys looking up too.
