Other than this year & 2011, Rider fans haven't had 2 decades of futility, we have. This fanbase hasn't given up. Are you saying we have? Riders have won like 4 cups in their entire existence tho... but yeah, reading some posts, i would say quite a few people have given up for sure.

I get that everyone is down on the team right now but with a half decent O that actually can move the ball from time to time... somewhat consistently even and don't go 2 and out for quarters on end, This team probably does have a chance. I mean really, last year at this time we were 6-3 were we not? ended up 7-11. Perhaps this year is different and we end strong. It's funny cuz really, you look at the standings and outside of Calgary,Edmonton, Hamilton and Toronto for that matter, I'm not putting Ottawa there with those teams, they aren't as good as their record says they are at 5-4 but... You got a whole bunch of teams there.. BC 3-5. Montreal 4-5. Wpg 3-6 Let's just say we win this week, BC wins vs MTL... BC becomes 4-5, Wpg goes 4-6, Mtl goes 4-6 It's not over really, seen it so many times over the years, it's not how you start, it's how you finish really... Bombers might not be grey cup favorites but really they aren't out of it by any means... and really in the CFL, all you gotta do is make the playoffs and then you never really know what will actually happen... Not saying bombers are gonna win the cup but... at the same time... i'm not gonna say they aren't either. Some people give up to easily really... when the going gets tough, bunch of people get going... God, this is gonna make me sick as hell but... at least the rider fans, they don't give up so easily on their team.

Well, rumor has it that Bryant Turner will be out next game with injury so that means Nate Collins will probably dress, Collins is definitely that Nose Tackle type of guy you need for a 3 4 D.

14 sacks last year with the Stamps, Guy's pretty good... Don't think he really got a fair chance here to be honest, was here for basically a cup of coffee and that's about it. Never played a game for us.

I personally think them not coming out and saying Brohm is the starter today... I think it probably means they are thinking strongly about going with Davis instead. Wouldn't shock me one bit if Davis starts this week... and it wouldn't shock me if he plays well either. And if Davis does start, well, basically you can give Brohm the apple and the road map b4 you even leave to go to SASK.

Get a grip on reality. In the first blowout vs TiCats Drew Willy was a whopping 3 of 6 for 48 yards and zero TDs. In the next game vs Esks Willy was a masterful 7-17 for 81 yards. Next blowout vs TiCats Willy was 16-27 for 171 yards with one TD and one INT for a pick 6. As Winnipeg's starter Willy produced a total of 8 TDs in 7 games, before his injury. He had virtually the same QB passer rating as rookie Rakeem Cato, who, at that point, had played one less game. Winnipeg's O production has been mostly putrid, with the occasional big-play exception, regardless of who is in at QB since around the the halfway point of last year. Injured. Injured. Injured.

That's exactly what you don't want to say to a QB starting his first game of the season. Or any game for that matter. I wouldn't actually tell him that but... I would certainly be thinking it. He's gotta know it's time to **** or get off the pot anyways. I mean, Nichols was brought in, Davis is getting some reps too... Brohm has got to know that his time is coming to an end.

The Point is... Willy routinely threw for more than 250 yards a game, even going back to last season... Marve threw for what? 96 yards in 3 quarters?

Honestly, doubtful. I think it's more likely that Longo is just better than Lewis. Simple as that really.

I'd honestly suspect that if you actually dig deep enough with QB's or any football player for that matter that at one point or time, they all had some serious injury problems. Hey, Marve doesn't have an ACL really... maybe both... I dunno. But really, Every QB for sure at one time or another suffered a serious injury and if they haven't yet, they eventually will. The injury issues aren't really a concern to me.

MB will be done at the end of the year.. no doubt about it really... it's basically a foregone conclusion, MB will be gone at the end of the year.. MOS will not be, seems like he's getting a rep as a coach players want to play for...Simmons signed here because of his past with O'shea... Judging from that Lawless article, MOS is not the problem at all... I think he's going to be a good coach, i just think he's being a little tied down right now by the OC... I think the OC is done at the end of the year... Not before that cuz it's kind of pointless but.. he's done at the end of the year... It's like Chipman saying both buff and ladd have expressed interest in signing here... yeah, well, what else would he say, Buff has said he doesn't want too? Nope, you wouldn't say that, you'd say exactly what Chipman did and said have expressed interest in staying... Wade wouldn't come out and say MB is done... even if in the back of his head, he knows he is.. It really serves no purpose to come out in the media and say hE IS DONE at the end of the year...

Nicholls is a capable yet unspectacular QB who has actually lasted a while in this league... I don't like this comparisons to other players.. It's ridiculous really. The guy has shown he can get the job done... He's not the best, nope, but as a backup to Willy moving forward... Nothing wrong with that.. He's got experience and to quote enzo amore from wwe NXT... You can't teach that.

I do agree tho that you should always look to improve the talent on the team and it's nice that they are doing that for sure... Would be nice if Lemon signed with US... Lemon on one side, Westerman on the other... Collins or Anderson as the Nose Tackle.. Playing a 3 4 vs SASK, and i doubt they play it all the time butt.... might not be a bad idea to limit their run game that way.

Nicholls has actually won games in this league and thrown TD passes.. i believe he's 5-2 as a starter.. Marve and Brohm as starters haven't won a game yet. They are 0 for... That last game last year vs Calgary, Brohm started, Marve came in when he got hurt... They are 0 for as starters and suck really badly. Nicholls isn't the greatest but he's 10000 x better than both Brohm and Marve combined.

If Buck was an option, they wouldn't have traded for Nicholls. End of story really. Buck is done.

IMO, the D hasn't been the problem recently, the O has been, seriously... It's funny to me how people ignore our complete incompetence on O, well it's not being ignored but... at the same time, It's kind of being glossed over, people actually defending Marve and the bunch there, 135 yards of total O last game, Honestly, that game vs Toronto was lost on Special teams and a fumble by Kohlert... the D played well enough to win, held harris to under 170 yards passing really, Don't think the argos had 300 total yards of O, if our O actually did anything, i mean really, just anything, we win that game for sure. Last game, we had chances, Bucknor interception, couple plays later, Marve throws an INT and Calgary scores a TD. The D isn't the problem, 3 4 sounds good to me tho but the D isn't the issue right now. The O is. They can't do anything really.

I get that it's easy to rip the OC and i for one am going to be a happy guy when MB is fired but at the same time, when your QB can't throw more than 5 yards accurately and gets happy feet in the pocket and basically walks in to the opposing teams players, what can you do really. Marve sucked last game, Like honestly, That was Jason Boltus type sucking.

Yet when Willy was the QB and i'm not defending MB's playbook but when Willy was the QB, he'd throw for 300 yards basically every game. Gotta sometimes realize that Marve and Brohm for that matter, they just aren't very good.

Marve is not being punished, he is hurt, several media guys have reported he is hurt.. he has a huge thing on his leg.. he's legit hurt and really after last game, I dunno how anyone could possibly defend Marve anyways, He's been here a year and a half and showed absolutely nothing. The real people who were being punished were people like you and me who watched that damn game from start to finish. Talk about Elliot and all this, well at least Joey showed that he could pass the ball with accuracy more than 5 yards.

Willy. Nicholls and Davis will be our 3 QB's going forward soon enough with Russell on the PR. Marve and Brohm will both be sent packing.

Davis looked very good with Calgary in the pre season.

Nicholls on his way so wouldn't be surprised if brohm is released soon.
