  1. Well, not saying people are right or wrong but so far... it's 3 vs 1 here. I mean, really... DR CFL, if you are even a Doctor, When most people seem to recall one thing and only one guy recalls something else... I dunno, just saying but... that one guy is probably wrong. Don't care about right or wrongs tho but facts are important, you seem to like to ignore facts from time to time, but really... whatever. Like you said, Think what you like.
  2. Nah, the leafs aren't winning any time soon and that got rid of that brutal contract, yeah they retain money but still... gives them way more flexibility moving forward. Not a leafs fan at all, hate them actually.. but trading Kessel was a smart move for them. Also, I don't think Phil will ever be what you call "buff", don't think he has that body type, but his cardio might improve lots.
  3. I think... 2 names just say it all and how those situations were handled... Michael Sam John Bowman Think the answer to why Higgins was fired lies somewhere in between there. Plus, Dunno about anyone else but have definitely heard news on twitter from Herb Z for a long time about problems in that Als locker room... It's the coaches job to deal with those problems, to run that room, quite apparent Higgins lost it.
  4. Source? Dude has an agenda. The source is in his head.
  5. Nope move MOS back to special teams coach with Higgins experience we are a better team.Take the blinders off. Pretty sure you got some blinders on yourself... what part of losing his locker room don't you understand? The reason Higgins was fired is probably because that locker room was in shambles since day 1 of this season and it's how Higgins handled the situation that made it worse... Now maybe his hands were tied with a couple things, the Michael Same thing, maybe that came from above, who knows but regardless it's the coaches job to defuse that situation, instead it ignited and basically blew up in his face. Dude lost the locker room, One thing i can pretty much guarantee is MOS is nowhere near close to losing his. This idea that hiring Tom Higgins would make us better is ridiculous. The guys average at best... Plus, has MOS actually lost to Higgins yet as a coach? Pretty sure we are undefeated against Montreal in head to head battles with MOS and Higgins as coaches.
  6. You got a source on that one? Cuz I did hear he interviewed here but instead of him taking a pass, it was the bombers passing on him.
  7. Bob Whetenhall isn't the reason for "success" in Montreal, Jim Popp is.. to a lesser extent, Anthony Calvillo and a weak ass east division for years was another reason. I don't like when Owners get involved, all i know if i OWNED a team, i wouldn't get involved in football related decisions, that's for sure.. that's not really my job.. I hire a GM to do that for me.. I mean really, What's the point in having a GM if your owner is the defacto GM anyway.
  8. Not exactly. You do realize Popp wasn't the guy that hired Higgins in the first place tho right? Not exactly what you last little sentence implies at all. Regardless tho, Locker Room issues are the end of a coach, regardless of how they happened or if it had to do with Sam or Bowman or whoever, the second you have locker room issues and Montreal has this entire season, as a coach, It's only a matter of time. You are supposed to run that locker room, sounds like the players were. What that means is the inmates are running the asylum. Only a matter of time really... Whetenhall makes the decisions not Popp, you misunderstood. Ahhh so instead of letting your GM do his job, you do it for him? Yeah for sure, Owners who get involved are awesome for sure.
  9. Guys a bum, some of those qb antics last night were just ridiculous, Bowman was just the icing on the cake Popp needed to deep six him. Yup. No thanks, the guy lost his locker room, he's supposed to be the guy in charge but it was pretty apparent that the players were running the asylum. No thanks to coaches like that. Higgins can go back to the CFL office really, just keep him away from Winnipeg.

  11. Dave Naylor makes a good point there to the right on the twitter feed... Popp never hired Higgins...
  12. Well, the one thing really... Winnipeg has 3 wins, they have beat SaSK, they have beat Montreal, They have beat BC... 3 teams lower than them in the standings, not saying we will but if we sweep the labour day and banjo bowl and win that one remaining game vs BC, we will probably be playoff bound. Montreal is a gong show right now so i'd sort of consider them more pretenders than contenders for a cross over. You win all your remaining games against those 3 teams and we have 4 more wins... BC would have to win more games than us, so would montreal, so would ask and if you win all your games against those guys, the odds of that happening are slim to none. 7-11 might get you a playoff spot this year.
  13. I'll watch it on the network. Looks like a good show. Jon Stewart hosting
  14. Dude.. you got some odd fetish with other guys. From Stoudermire and his package to this now. Creepy really.
  15. Pretty much.. lots of groan worthy comments recently
  16. Hurl won't be benched. He will just rotate more or maybe you see us go 3-4 more. Randle Hurl Simmons Bass
  17. Dildoe is a town in Newfoundland
  18. Was at the game. Stayed till end. Brink started and sucked. Got bood off the field. Jules came in in the 3rd or even 4th and magic happened. Remember sitting in my seat at the end seeing people walking to their cars in the parking area actually stopping and watching the scoreboard.
  19. 12 weeks to go. Personally I haven't heard or seen much advertising. Wait till labour day and see what happens
  20. Bombers Lions Als in my opinion
  21. What would sports be without rivals. The riders are and have long been our prairie rival. It is what it is.
  22. As for Stempniak. 1 year deal? Sure. 2 or more? Pass. He said he has a family and would be hard to move them for a year. Tells me he wants 2 years plus do in that case, I'm fine with him moving on. Hasn't signed anywhere so either wants too much term aka 2 years plus or money or both.
  23. Ladd Little Stafford Ehlers Scheif Wheeler Perreault Lowry Burmi Lemieux Petan Thorburn Myers Toby Trouba Morrissey Stuart Chiarot But really if Buff is traded.. it changes a couple things.. I could see buff to CBJ for Rychel Prospect and 2016 first. Philly is possible too. Detroit also Florida.. dale Tallon is a fan.
  24. Buff will be traded I'm sure. Ladd might be too if he don't sign soon. They both would get lots back. Imo Jets sign Ladd and trade buff a week later. B4 tge season starts even. If it means one step back this year to take 2 forward next so be it.
  25. HA! you think Philly is giving up all that for one year of Buff? Best you can get is 1st round pick and a B prospect. Sanheim has taken big strides since being drafted. He ain't moving for a rental player. Sekera got a first and A prospect. He now plays for the oilers not the kings. Buff now would get more than sanheim and a 1st. At tge deadline he'd get sanheim and a first. That's what top pairing d men get and that's what buff is. You Damn rights he'd get that if Sekera got the same.Sekera was a rental. They trade buff now and he gets more for sure. Easily. If the jets had to retain 1 1.5 million of Buff salary they could. It's just 1 year
