Remember when we didn't want to trade greaves? Man that was fun. Should have sold high on him cuz he's getting worse

What pro sport team does Fargo have? In 25 years you tear the arena down and build a new one. If the population rises significantly

Adams is sick. He's got a cold

In Canada there used to be something called "THE LORDS DAY" aka it was sunday and back then, no sports were allowed to be played on that day. Times change i suppose... banning or not banning, perhaps it's time for some change down there... but, my main thing is who the heck am i, a canadian at that to tell southern americans what they can and can not do. Times change for sure but sometimes not all places or people change with it, some people don't like change, winnipegers should know that all too well with councillors trying their hardest to save decrepid old buildings around town that serve no purpose, heritage buildings i believe they are called... The south is a strange place, it's a little bit behind the times in some of those places.

Gordon is pretty darn young, might take him some time to learn the nuances of the game, might be better to let him develop a bit longer... but then again, good point about running with the 1's and 2's.

I think it's a combo of several things.. it's never just one really.. I think the 6pm start time played a role... big time.. i think folk fest played a role, big time... i think it being plus 42 with the humidity played a role and i think people going to the lake on friday played a role (hottest weekend of the summer so far by far).. i also think last weeks loss played a role but... i would suggest it might have played a lesser role than the other things i mentioned did, i think folk fest and the 6pm start and the hottest week-end of the summer were the main reasons. People under estimating how many "young people' actually go to folk fest it seems. To ignore folk fest is silly... it's like ignoring dauphin country fest when it happens too.. it makes a huge impact for sure. More than people realize.. people can pretend to hate country music all they want but... thousands upon thousands upon thousands going to country fest every year says lots don't hate it and thousands upon thousands heading out to folk fest plays a role too. I guess, it's like this... country fest and folk fest only happen once per year... there are 9 bomber home games, if you miss one, who cares really cuz theres 8 more you can go too. I don't go to folk fest but in the past, when i had season tix for the bombers, i did go to country fest once or twice and yup the bombers game.. i was like oh well, theres always next week.

All i ask from the refs is consistency game to game but... it seems like we ain't even getting that. Heres the million dollar question and the one that i think frustrates a lot of people watching... do you think that call would have been made in the other games this past week-end?
-
I hate to do this but... I gotta go with Cornish also.

you know on the Jets site Toby Enstrom was listed as 5'10... but everyone knows he's much smaller than that. I'd take what the teams list their players at on their website with a bit of a grain of salt... Collins is a pretty big guy... not sure he's 350 but i highly doubt he's 294 either.

No bryan Little? that's odd.

Yup, the top of the scoreboard they say stretches from the goaline to the blue line, pretty big actually. Should be interesting to see. Wonder what type of future renos can be done to MTS center, I know some people who said that when they built the MTS center they said that they built it with future expansion in mind, No, i don't think you can take the roof off and add more seats but... wonder what type of future expansion they can do.

Or maybe you see Veltung get more reps at receiver... Stoudemire and Veltung returning kicks would be a nice combo back there for sure. Think Veltung has shown he is a pretty good player and probably worthy of some reps as a receiver. Adams has been pretty much MIA for 3 weeks now.

Ahh History... love people who try to ban history, it's a big part of peoples lives... I don't really care if someone wants to fly the confederate flag or even the nazi flag for that matter, that's their choice, I'm not overly sensitive to these things.. I guess trying to ban flags is like trying to rewrite and change history, but you can't really do that. Honestly tho, i've been to the southern states and it's a lot different than anywhere i've ever been, you see crosses hanging in fields still in some places, it's kind of a strange scary ish place, some of those places, mississippi and south carolina in particular, pretty much makes you want to drive by as soon as you can.. however, if people want to fly flags or whatever really, so be it, who am i to tell them what they believe is wrong. I'm Canadian therefore this truly honestly doesn't really effect me at all. What's next tho? there will always be something, and honestly, flags should be the least of peoples concerns. Especially if it doesn't really matter to any of us. I guess, if i lived in the south, maybe it would be different... maybe i would care a little bit more, maybe i would have been raised to believe that the confederate flag is indeed a symbol and pride and all that... but really, to me... it's just a flag... it's really just a piece of cloth really. Don't see the need to get worked up over a piece of cloth.

Turner and Adams (Darvin) injured apparently. I doubt Collins is activated seeing as tho he's still on the 6 game, Not sure tho, would he be able to practice if he was on the 6 game even? Did they silently remove him and stoudemire from the 6 game? I think stoudemire getting in this week is a lot more likely than Collins, I'd imagine if Turner can't go and it is just day 1, maybe Harlan gets more reps as does thomas. Can they even pull Collins and Stoudemire off the 6 game?
-
I'll guess most of that is off significantly
-
That's irrelevant. Unless it's a passing play, the RB is his responsibility. Hmm. Thanks Coach Hall but once again unless you are the DC calling the plays you have no idea who takes who on any play. Let's see this logic here. Esplain dis one please. Hurl blitzes on the play cuz he's told to do so. Uh oh its a run play tho. RB still Hurls guy eventho he's blitzing?
-
Maybe it's just me but are teams really running up the middle on us ? Maybe once or twice a game but I think most runs are to the outside.
-
That's cuz for the most part the runs have been to the outside and not up the gut
-
Without really knowing who is supposed to do what on any given play I think it's hard to say. Communication goes a long way and most these guys are on their 3rd DC in 3 years.

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...

Riders are finding ways to lose right now, that's a sign of a team starting to crumble from the head coach on down. -
CFL Week 3 Games - Ott @ Edm / SK @ BC / Tor @ Cgy

I think SASK is that bad actually... passing yards mean very little, it's a stat, a useless stat really... who cares about passing yards... It's a team game, not an individual game... AND that team has some huge problems, the main one being one they can't fix anytime soon really and that is... the lack of depth behind their starters...They are that bad because they have lost a couple guys to injury and have had no one to replace them, they are that bad because they have now blown 2 leads late in games... they are finding ways to lose, that's what bad football teams do, they find ways to lose, the good ones, they find ways to win. Oh and their head coach... what's his name again? The black tim burke there, chamblin? Throwing his team under the bus always and not even trying to go for the win, playing it safe when he should be trying to win, that whole team is awful right now and deservedly so. Sticking up for the riders on here should result in an automatic ban really. -
Bombers/Als Gameday Non-Chat Room Non-GIF Thread

In Willys defence, he did have a guy in his face a couple times almost immediately, Picard had a tough game i thought and Chungh got owned once or twice too. That Allan Michael Cash guy is money and John Bowman is one of the best. Credit to the ALS d line for sure. What was i gonna say tho, Oh yeah... I guess, in football all that matters is you win the game, at the end of the day all that matters is you win, you protect the ball, protect the lead and you win, by any means necessary really... Offense, Defense,Special Teams, 3 phases. In a few weeks people won't remember how we won, they will just remember that we won I guess, look at sask, they are finding ways to lose games so far, the bombers last night, found a way to win. That's what it comes down too really ,finding ways to win. -
I'm not sticking up for Sharp here but... there are a few things in that "article" that are wrong for sure but the one that makes me go hmm that's odd is... Sharp was Patrick Kanes best man at his wedding, Also sharp and his wife just had their first baby. Honestly, i think this is a bunch of rumors really but... not kidding myself in to thinking that these guys aren't out there messing around on their wives, i've seen it first hand really with guys here in winnipeg leaving with women who aren't their wives or girlfriends, this is not just the Jets either really, or the bombers, it's name that team that comes to town really... Honestly, You got millions of dollars, you are on the road, some "hot chick" wants some, what are you gonna say? Honestly, I'd hope i'd say no but... the fact is, and maybe it's not the case for all of them but... lots of pro athletes definitely take advantage of the fact that they are well known, some women (all ? lol) love money... reality is, sharp could cheat on his wife 50000000 times lets say but as long as he buys her a new car or new whatever, then it's ok.. These wives are very well aware of what happens on the road too, they aren't stupid, i think lots turn a blind eye to it tho because.. well, dudes making millions of dollars millions of dollars and guess what, the wife gets to spend lots of that money too.
