Just a matter of time b4 it's official

In the stands. Don't care where
-
Chicago needed cap space and got it. Dano is a very good prospect too.
-
Our media wouldn't recognize ford or Garrett?
-
On who. Sekera would be nice. Maybe Winnik

I'm not sure but hasn't Demski had injury issues in the past? Perhaps with the same shoulder? I wonder when he hurt it, was it after the big run? was it being tackled or was it celebrating the big run by throwing his arms up in the air? If so, it's just another fluke injury.

Finally a bluebombers.com video worth watching
Goalie replied to IC Khari's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
HAHA.. funny video for sure, pretty short but pretty good. Sam Hurls answer was nice.. it's a tigers private parts, twig and berries. Bucknors was good too, It's the sister store to Osh Kosh and B'gosh. -
Apparently saad was looking for a 6 year deal with about a 6.5 million AAV, makes more sense now as to why they let him go.

A boo boo? The guy was put in to a knee brace and several plays later his knee was torn apart. Willy was slow to get up once or twice for sure but he got up and he didn't require a brace or anything likle that... Willy might have got a couple boo boos, Reilly got his knee torn apart. There is a little bit of a difference, if thats week 1 and we are losing and being dominated, Yeah Willy should be benched. Why risk an injury to your franchise qb really when the game is over and it's week 1.

It's confirmed, Saad for Dano and Anisimov. Crazy deal, Guess nobody wanted patrick sharp so the hawks had to trade one of their young studs away. Saad is really good and was hoping if he was gonna get moved that Chevy would have been on it. I doubt the hawks would trade him in the division but still...

Well, On Durants they could have done nothing considering he injured himself. On Reillys, he could have been told to sit the rest of the game when he first got "injured", he came back in wearing a knee brace, The injury started there, he came back in and a fluke play took him out, if he was sitting on the bench, he wouldn't have gotten injured worse. Basically, the CFL can do nothing because it's just a fluke really, none of these guys were cheap shotted, none of them targeted by opposing players, One guy injured himself, and one guy who was injured earlier was allowed to go back in and injury himself even worse. On the Lefevour injury, i think he just fell oddly on his shoulder, nothing can be done about that one. Crompton? I didn't see it personally so can't comment on it but i'd assume it's just another fluke type of injury. You can't do anything to stop those. The league protects the QB's enough as is, can't hit them high, can't hit them low really.. what more can they do? Put a flag on their asses and instead of going for the sack or tackle you gotta pull the flag off? Wrap them in bubble wrap? Maybe but not even bubble wrap would have stopped those injuries from happening. Sometimes, you just get injured, it is what it is. I guess the whole, it's pro sports not ballet thing applies here. I'd understand if these guys got injured on cheap shots or something but really, you can't stop flukes from happening, sometimes you get hurt playing pro sports, it's a risk everyone who has ever played a sport knows could happen. You can't really do a thing about it. I want to compare this to hockey, Hits from behind, people are always like what can the NHL do to eliminate hits from behind, well, nothing really.. it's the player who is exposing himself that needs to change, that player should understand that you can't turn your back on someone at the last second and expect not to get hammered, it's just like these injuries really, you can't do anything. In reillys case, maybe change his style of play a bit, maybe be less warrior and maybe just go down when there is nothing there, instead of trying to extend the play by half a yard or so... The Esks coaches tho i think and medical staff, well, they should know full well that while you can't win the grey cup in week 1, losing your starting QB in week 1 means you won't win it either more than likely. It's about the mentality of the players really, some need to change their style but.. for the most part... i'd say of the 4 qb's injured this past week, all 4, you could do nothing to stop it from happening. Reilly got injured because he was allowed to go back in a game that really, it was over and done at that time, Argos just dominated them, Esks could do nothing about it, that game was over, sometimes the coaches need to understand that sometimes it's best to just sit the guy down and live to fight another day cuz like i said, you can't win the grey cup in week 1 but losing your starting qb in week 1, probably means you aren't gonna be contending for later in the year too. Reilly's injury might be the only one that was actually preventable. the rest were just flukes i think and reillys might have been too but... if the coaches tell him to sit on the bench and take it easy for the rest of the game and live to fight another day, well, who knows, maybe his knee doesn't get torn apart and maybe instead of being out for a week maybe 2, he's not out for 12.

Well, if Burmi is appalled to be 4th line center, the Jets can ship his ass out now then. That's reality. Burmi has earned nothing, If i'm the Jets, i don't offer him very much at all, i might even try to sign him to a 2 way deal, because who knows what the guy is all about. If he's appalled to play 4th line center, well then too bad so sad, stay in russia really. Slater is gone for sure, it's obvious he was gone the second the season ended, just like it's obvious Frolik is gone too. Slater would look good wearing moose colors but no way is in the Jets plans. Not a chance regardless of what they "might have" told him.
-
The guys we will be gaining will be either 1. A 4th line winger or 2. LHD man or 3. most likely, they will promote from with in, Think Ehlers,Morrissey,Burmistrov type stuff.
-
Yup. That's actually a pretty good deal there.
-
Sad? I dunno, it's unfortunate for sure but i don't know about sad.. Durant? Did it to himself really Reilly? was injured a bit earlier in the game, they put a knee brace on him, he went back in and now he's done for 12 weeks.. The Durant one was a fluke really, the Reilly one, i guess really you can blame 2 people.. 1 is Mike Reilly, he probably shouldn't have gone back in the game after getting "injured" the first time, he did and now he's done for a while, if he stayed out, maybe he isn't injured long term, maybe it's just a week or 2.. and 2. Chris Jones and the ESKS medical staff for allowing an already somewhat injured player to go back in. Those 2 right there, it's not like they were cheap shots or anything, it's just flukes... Yeah it sucks to lose 2 Qb's for the season, 2 starters i should say for the season, Lefevour was not the starter and his injury, perhaps a little cheap shot but i think the way he fell was the reason he was injured... Yeah it sucks but what can you do really.. Nichols gets a chance like Harris got his chance.... Montreal? well honestly when you fail to develop a qb behind Calvillo for 15 years... i'm sorry but that's not sad, that's just their fault really. It's unfortunate that it's happened but i wouldn't call it sad I watched 99 percent of that esks argos game and honestly, that game was over well b4 Reilly got hurt, it was so obvious that Toronto was just owning Edmonton, Edmonton was just losing it out there, they were going all hot headed and the minute that happens, the game is over.. Reilly should have been told to sit on the bench the second the first "injury" happened cuz the game was over by that time already.
-
Yeah but... still, he seems to be a bit of an injury concern, his style of play seems to be that of... well, its eerily reminiscent of buck pierce even.. good qb but seems to always be banged up or injured or something. Is he a good passer or is his success as a qb all about the ability to scramble? I like the guy but it's not like he's putting up huge numbers or anything, I think that D there was the reason for their success last year more so than the O.

Cabs, Buses, Biking, Take a car and park at future shop on pembina and walk (i've done that a few times, it actually isn't so bad) and the best part, that parking is free free free. It's a good 20 minute walk tho, however, it's well worth it in my opinion. But apparently if you go check out the bombers official site, you will find all the info you need.
-
I'm just gonna ask this question... Is Reilly over rated a bit?
-
I think he was playing 4th line minutes but regardless, perhaps that big contract he got, went to his head, it wouldn't be the first player and it wont be the last player that has happened too. Hodgson was a really solid prospect at one point, he's still pretty young so maybe i'd take a flyer on him, maybe on a 2 way deal (doubt he accepts that tho) cuz if the kid ever did get his head back on straight and actually lived up to his hype, he could be very good. But like many b4 and no doubt many after, i think that ship might have sailed and Hodgson is what he is.

Odds and Sods - Game 1 - Bombers at Riders
Goalie replied to do or die's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It was away from the Play, Veltung was already gone pretty much at that point but like JBR said in another thread, the bombers did manage to score a TD on the following drive. But yeah, maybe if the refs caught the illegal block on washington by smith i think on Messams big TD run, it wouldn't have been as close as it seemed. A lot of shocking things in that game really, the TOP being so close was very surprising, to me it seemed like the bombers definitely controlled the game, They would drive down field, only 1 2 and out, i mean i dunno, but apparently it was very close, only a minute or so apart, but watching the game twice even, It certainly appeared as tho the bombers dominated time of possession. -
Could be Keith Tolston. It's hard to say, heard a few rumours about some names, his being one but... if i had to guess, i'd say it's a new guy all together.
-
I'm just gonna say I don't feel for them because i think Chris Jones is a huge d bag lol

Harris,Fuller,Willy. http://cfl.ca/article/top-performers Very interesting. Top Performers of the Week now.

I dunno, Apparently Hodgson is one of those guys that might have some attitude issues, I think The Jets would stay far away from guys like that.. It's part of the reason that i'm not convinced burmistrov will be back too, they might bring him back if his attitude is in check but if it's not, they might sign and then trade him. It's hard to say. Think the Jets are high on character and I'm not sure Hodgson fits that profile exactly. Some talk that he had an attitude issue going all the way back to the Moose days.
-
Here's the thing, Hodgson played for the Moose for a couple seasons so the Jets would know him well, particularly Zinger and Chipman, If they pass on him, it's for good reason. I think they will pass on him too. I don't see much interest there. As for the Mike Richards thing, Drugs is the best guess but who knows, don't really want to speculate, it could be anything really, weapons, drugs,whatever... Name it and it could be it... Guys got tons of money so generally it seems that people with lots of money can get away with certain things. It's gotta be pretty bad if the Kings decided to terminate his contract, you know they did that knowing whatever the reason he was busted for is a valid one for sure.
