Doesn't hurt that Harris is also a Winnipeger. Not saying that's the reason you go after him, but it doesn't hurt at all. There's some strong marketing opportunities there with Harris for sure. He's also not that bad of a back, had over 1000 yards this year, is a good receiving running back too, helps the ratio, lots of pluses to going out and signing Harris... I've always heard rumors that he's wanted to play for the Bombers, that his heart is here in Winnipeg. Perhaps it's true. Say what you will but signing Harris definitely improves our Canadian content significantly.. He helps the ratio.. maybe no need for Bucknor or Hurl? Maybe you can go Wild at MLB,Bass at the other spot.... Frees up a Canadian spot elsewhere. I guess, perhaps the only downside is if he gets hurt, it messed up the ratio a bit but... I'd be ok with a Harris,Marshall type of combo. Too bad Coombs isn't a free agent too, Not saying i feel this way but a small part of me does, it would be nice to have some local talent on the team.

That's what he's saying and i agree, Ladd is way easier to replace than Buff. However you have to look at it a little differently, are the Jets with Ladd,Buff,Toby etc, are they ever gonna be more than just a playoff bubble team? Will they ever realistically end up winning the stanley cup? If you are looking at it realistically, the answer is probably no. TUP said it before I think and I agreed, If the Jets win the cup, it will be Scheif or someone handing the cup off to Trouba or Ehlers... It won't be Ladd handing it off to Buff or whoever... It just won't happen. What the Jets should have done and it's easy to say this now but they should have went full rebuild when the team first got here, Trade guys like Buff,Toby,Ladd etc for futures or young players with potential.. Perhaps they are thinking of doing that now? One good season last year does not make anyone forget about the 3 or 4 maybe 5 if you count the Atlanta year(s) where this team with this core just wasn't good enough. Will they ever be good enough? It's a tough situation, is being average in the Central division good enough? It's not, you need to be way better than average... Jets are a game below .500 right now, the teams in front of them.. not even close to being even close to .500. Eventually, you have to move on from your older core and build the team around the younger guys like Scheif,Ehlers,Lowry, Trouba,Myers maybe... That's the future.. you can keep guys like Little and Wheeler around as i think they will age nicely, they also are on good contracts... But perhaps it is time for a semi rebuild of sorts.

I've been to 3 games so far. He looked good for a guy playing his first real year of pro. The lack of forward depth hurts the moose. The D is pretty decent

They played well the rest of the game tho. Refs sure seem like they will let other teams get away with things the jets don't. Penalty to Lowry was horseshit and St Louis was running around tired in their own zone. Hnidy said it best... that's a penalty for being stronger
