  1. Went to a Columbus game this year. 55 bucks a ticket in the upper deck
  2. Pav 19 of 20 HUTCH 3 of 7
  3. I'd pay it if i could get tickets. Don't care the price really.
  4. Last thing i'll say is I'm pretty sure Buff and Ladd for that matter can talk contract extensions with Chevy after or on July 1st of this year, So you throw out some term and numbers, not gonna play that game again where i think i know what Chevy would offer but... Let's say he offers them both very reasonable deals, very reasonable, and they both say.. thanks but no thanks? I mean that's possible right, its also possible that they sign those reasonable deals but.. If they don't, what do you do? You obviously try to move them in the summer of this year then so you can get back more than you would if you sold them at the trade deadline.. These guys both have a year left on their deals, the best time to trade them if they decided to not sign an extension this summer is well this summer. That's when i think you'd get the best bang for your buck. I'm not really sure i like the idea of keeping them until next years trade deadline and then trading them cuz they would essentially be rentals, I'm not sure that's where you get the best value for your players. But honestly from everything i've heard and read, both love it here, both are happy here, buff apparently enjoys it quite lots, it's close to home, it's similar to Minnesota actually when you think about it, not much difference between us and where buff is from, same winters really, same stuff, they have a bigger mall but for some reason, i don't think that's a huge issue for most players and their wives for that matter. The indications are both enjoy it here and would probably sign, but if they say thanks but no thanks this off season to signing an extension, i think you have to move them this summer.
  5. Well, it honestly speaks volumes in my opinion at least that the bombers had no interest in Shomari. I mean, Our DC would be very very familiar with him.
  6. it's gonna be a good game, hard hitting fast paced defensively strong game. I like when the Jets play the Blues actually, it could go either way. I think the Jets manage to get a point for sure. Not sure about 2 tho.
  7. Little is still young enough and Wheeler is a great leader so i think he was referring to guys like Buff Ladd Maybe Enstrom but the depth at the LHD position is pretty thin.
  8. If buff was 25 sure but he's going to be 30. Tough decision
  9. The luxury of having 3 very good RHD actually. Myers/Trouba/Buff. Can let Buff go and still have a solid top 4 if Morrissey is ready to go. Myers/Toby Trouba/Morrissey That's a good group going forward and fits in to what the Jets are trying to do 9 million? No thanks, I don't think i'd go anymore than 6.5 a year for 5 years max. 6.5 6.5 6.5 6.5 6.5 = 32.5 million over 5 years. Gotta remember that guys like Schief,Trouba,Lowry etc will need new deals too.
  10. But Hammond will come back to reality soon, Just like Hutch did and just like Dubnyk has kind of done with the wild recently. Hammonds sample size is way too small, He sucked in the AHL tho.
  11. I don't see us going after sheets. Riders might but doubt highly that we do. Would i complain if we did? Not really cuz the more competition the better but i just don't see it happening.
  12. You aren't gonna be dressing 3 international running backs a game, maybe 2 and one goes on the IR or something but i don't even know about that. Depth? Sure, it's more like training camp competition.
  13. Quite the feat but... He's a 20 year old rookie, Who the hell is barry brust? The guy he took the streak from? Never heard of him. Lots of time these minor league goalies don't do so well in the big leagues, he's a rookie with the pens, he's gonna spend several years in the minors for sure, MAF is signed to a long term deal in Pitt, this guy is gonna spend lots of time in the AHL.
  14. Well, 5700.. the only question that then matters for a couple years is can winnipeg draw 5700 or more per game, And honestly, gonna say without a doubt, yes yes yes.
  15. Gonna be quite the competition, read somewhere the bombers wanted a bigger back, while Randle may not be the biggest, 5'7 190 is pretty solid, with marhsall being a good size too, cotton may be on the outside looking in after all is said and done. RB's, man they are a dime a dozen really.
  16. If someone offered us a top 5 pick in this years draft plus roster player plus prospect, i'd take it and RUN RUN RUN. You want to look at some teams who might be willing to do that? Columbus comes to mind. They don't exactly need Buff tho. Edmonton? Damn rights they need a guy like Buff. Toronto? Yup but doubt Toronto is a place Buff would go too Carolina? Theres a nice fit actually, they need D help so bad. If those teams offered up their pick prospect and roster player, you do it in a second cuz we are a young team, a draft and develop team, I agree there TUP, it's more likely if the Jets win the cup that it's Scheif handing it off to Trouba instead of Ladd handing it to Buff. And honestly, i think the Jets are building a team who will not only make the playoffs every year but... be contenders too. You look at teams like Chicago for example, yeah they got Toews and Kane but... outside of that, they have an older aging group with not many prospects in the cupboards, not many top end guys at least. Nashville? Who knows really, one year they good, the next not so much... St Louis is a team who has done it right it seems, I think if we were to model the Jets after a team, St Louis would be the team, Roster full of their own younger players but when they started to win, they added some veteran presence, but lots of that roster is st louis blues drafted prospects.
  17. Isn't TN a partner in trying to get that building in TBay built? Like they are throwing in their own money, I mean, i know it's silly but.. you know what.. Selkirk has a nice arena lol, It's not 5700 seats but with a bit of an expansion it could be lol. Just saying but if that arena in TBAY is gonna be 5700 seats (it will get done), I don't think theres any doubt that for a year or 2, the "moosecaps" can draw at least that to a game here. At least. Probably more, i'd suspect around 7500.
  18. Don't forget that Little and Wheeler are still signed for a few years and i'd imagine will finish their careers here in the end so really... what you are doing is shifting the leadership from ladd and buff to little and wheeler. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. Honestly, in my opinion, Wheeler has shown more leadership this year than ladd has, no dumb penalties for wheeler, seems to want to win more than ladd, wants to make a difference. Can be a difference, Ladd, i like him but... eventually you need to try new leadership, I mean, let's not kid ourselves here, if this team makes the playoffs, it will be the first time in ladds captaincy era that they have. Maybe it's time to try some new leadership and i think with guys like Wheeler,Little,Scheif,Trouba,Lowry,Myers, if we could stafford signed, that's not a terrible group either.
  19. It will depend on ticket prices, i wouldn't be surprised tho if theres some deals there where you buy jets tickets and get "moose" tickets for free. Or something along those lines, buy 2 get 1 free stuff. I went to a few moose games and the only one that was quiet was the first one, first time i went to MTS centre too, it was an odd environment but... went to a playoff game a couple times and it was pretty darn loud for sure. Did know lots of people who didn't like the idea of cheering on the canucks prospects tho, now that it will be our own prospects, who knows. Not sure why they don't just go check out grand forks or fargo or something, I'll bet those places would draw pretty well too.
  20. Bombers sign International running back, previously on the practice roster in 2013 for a month here,Bradley Randle today. Don't think Cotton is a lock to be our running back.. gonna be quite the competition with Cotton,Marshall,Randle etc.
  21. Minny loses 3 2 Calgary loses 5 4 in a shootout
  22. The reason the conservatives won't win here is because, while Selinger might be a total goof, Pallister is even a bigger one. Until the conservatives actually change their own leadership here, i doubt they will win. Lots of time between now and the election, do a few big things and people will forget the last little while. The real issue here is outside of the NDP, the other 2 parties are pretty much a joke. Pallister likely won't win because he is not as likable really. Comes down to that really, We will see tho, should be interesting but honestly, as things stand right now, I'll take the devil we know over the devil we don't know.
  23. The AHL probably just cares about having a team that might make some good money. Their games are rarely to never on TV so, doubt they would care too much. The NHL, well, who cares really what they think, they don't own the arena, Changing Logos probabaly isn't that difficult really in the scheme of things. Changing the center ice logo tho might be a bit of an issue.
  24. Good news so far on the out of town scoreboard. Colorado leading Minny 3-0 with under 9 to go in the third Ottawa all over Calgary 4-0 with time to go. NYR and Chicago playing too, GO Rangers lol
