Riders release; Bombers sign Dominic Picard

Morley got ejected in one game so that may have skewed his penalty minutes somewhat...I think it was against the Riders.. Maybe but GBills quote was saying Morley lead the league in penalties, not penalty minutes. Not sure there is a penalty minutes in football exactly. It's not like they get called for Holding and sit out for 2 minutes. -
Kessel does come across as a me first type of player tho, Regardless of the question and i suppose it was a bit dickish but Kessels answer was just as dickish and childish. Like it or not, Phil Kessel is a pro athlete and earlier in the day his ex coach Ron Wilson came out and mentioned how Phil goes on a run for 2 weeks and then does nothing for 2 weeks, Not sure if people have paid attention to Phils career but that's what he does, He's not the most likable guy either. He's being paid the big bucks for a reason, they expect him to show up every game and compete, he doesn't do that. Is that a coaching issue? is that a laziness issue? is that just who phil kessel is? Who knows but his career tells me that Phil Kessel is what he is, he can score goals but that's all he does, he doesn't really hustle back, he's kind of a floater, he doesn't really play the system game, he does go MIA for periods of time and he does seem to be a bit uncoachable. How many coaches have been fired now? Keep firing coaches all you want but until you change the players and Kessel is one of those players, nothing changes.

So you're saying that three years in the NFL hampered his development...? He's not a young guy, he's fighting for a spot on one of the best olines in the league, i don't think theres any guarantee he makes that team. Not at the expense of Matte or anyone like that at least. Als have probably the best or one of the best lines in the league, NFL experience or not, it's not the same as CFL experience, Blake hasn't played Canadian Rules Football in how long now? It probably won't be an easy transition for him.

If the zebras don't call it, then it's not a penalty is how it seems to work so regardless, Morley lead the league in penalties by a Center. Morleys snaps i thought weren't as crisp either, seemed to flutter back there, probably one of the reasons he took so many penalties. -
Hall most likely to be new DC (Now Official)

Wonder if BENEVIDES is still in the running because he doesn't want to be reunited with Chapdelaine in SASK. -
Washington around last year. Cortez has lost his aappeal. Tedford is an unknown. If this was the bombers somebody wouldn't be saying what he's saying

Morley obviously was not as good as some of us experts thought. -

As what? Cuz special teams ain't available here. DL coach? Lb coach? Db? Doubt it. -
Blake is 29. Not the same guy who was drafted. Wish him well but I'd expect he might be the injured player. Not convinced he makes the als roster even.
-
Or they draft a guy who does it and can play another spot and Fitz is gone.
-
Or one of the other six dwarves. Grumpy definitely exists. Is there a know it all dwarf?
-
Always one guy who needs to complain.
-
Holmes Heenan Hurl Arakgi maybe a guy like Jordan Sisco too. Possibly Earnest Jackson and maybe an American LB if there is one. Draft? Either Demski or D Groulx from Laval.
-
Labbe was a very underrated special teamer. With that said, pass on black.
-
Apparently khari will be receivers or running backs coach with the Lions.

No Imaginging things at all, walters was very careful when speaking about January. Theres no doubt about that. Glenn is probably gone and quite honestly, i'm not sure why anyone would be surprised by this, he hasn't really been that good for a while now. -
The scouting staff has now had a full year to prepare too so let's hope that helps them out there in finding players. Gonna give them a bit of a break last year as they found a few players but hopefully with the full year to prepare instead of a couple months really, they find some guys. Really liked what i saw from Unumba when he got a shot to play later in the year. He could be a very good linebacker for us, maybe crucified a bit myself but i saw a younger hopefully less injury prone johnny sears. Big Hitter, strong special teamer, converted DB really. Really liked how he played the last few games and was a special demons monster for us too.

In other news, Walters seemed to be quite careful when talking about Janvier, err january.. Tells me that it's likely we are moving on from old Glenn. -
I'm gonna go there, yup, i like wild, i really do, think he's a baller and by far was our best linebacker last season, Sears was in and out of the lineup too much.. But it honestly seems like we are going to have 3 "new" starting linebackers next season, Just a total guess but i'm betting one is Graig Newman. Who the other 2 are, beats me, Maybe Don Unumba is another, who the middle linebacker is tho, anyones guess, anyone but kuale i hope. ABK.. That's all i will say. Find a MLB and we might be ok. Linebackers weren't exactly a strong spot last season. Wild was good but everyone else was well, they weren't as good.

From my perspective, reading between the lines? lol, May the best man win, there will be some casualties, some guys will be trade bait but come camp, the starters will have had to beat out good competition. Wait, that's not reading between the lines, that's pretty much exactly what walters said. -
Best of Luck to Ian Wild. Huge opportunity for a guy that truly does deserve it.

Toronto has looked lethargic for some time, i mean going back years now, it's the same old same old, the coaches change but the players have stayed the same for the most part, the kessel and phaneuf type guys, these are the players that show up one night but not the next, don't care who the coach is, he can't do much if players just flat out refuse to show up some games. Leafs go on a streak, then lose a ton in a row. It's happened for years now.. I'm happy for Carlyle and i'm sure Randy is a bit relieved right now to be out of that hell hole that is Toronto, Not sure why any coach would want to go there. They dreaming of Babcock, Babcock won't go there tho. Toronto is to coaches what Edmonton is to goalies, it's a graveyard.

Color me surprised but.... as i was thinking about this when it was announced that Picard signed with us, I thought, well if wylie likes him then... he must have something left to give. I do have to admit, i never really thought of the attitude thing before, but picard is known to play with a mean streak and i think that's a good thing. Gotta pencil picard in as starter at the moment don't you? Will be interesting to see what happens with guys like Morley now, his versatility might mean he sticks around but he could be a guy that is on the bubble now. -
Having Bogo trouba buff as right handed d man means nothing cuz reality is those 3 could play the left and would be better than the guys we currently have playing the left side. That's why it's irrelevant cuz buff Bogo trouba on the left is better than the scrubs currently playing. Thinking short term isn't the jets way. No big names are traded until the off season or until they find out if guys like buff and Ladd will sign. Buff for 4 5 years at 6 7 million? Not sure it's worth it. We were a better team when he was on forward.
