Really solid interview. Anyone questioning the way MOS handles the media during the season really needs to listen to this interview. Didn't really get any impressions either way about ETCH or MB for that matter, Probably find out soon enough tho as Walters ended it by basically saying that Him and MOS will now sit down and discuss the coaching and what they feel is best moving forward. Good Interview. Much better. The one on the main site? Not so good, very vanilla, this one? more in depth, still vanilla but... some of Walters responses definitely makes you go hmm.

Chris Jones is obviously coach of the year, Higgins started off way to slowly to be considered coach of the year, Als were awful for a very long part of the season. Coach of the year is Jones to lose. Smart move by the ALS tho, Can't keep firing coaches every year.

Get a feeling Sears will exhaust his NFL aspirations, if none come to fruition, Don't think any will, Think he will come back to the bombers.

If he plays average I think you're right, but the team has to play better than average in front of him, like they've been doing in the last little stretch. Allows him to play better positionally in the net and not have to scramble to make the big saves. Oh i agree, the team itself the last few years have been below average too in several key areas, mainly defensively. Hopefully they keep this up because it's working for them right now.

Bogo is somewhat of an enigma out there, one shift he looks like he's definitely gonna be that top pairing d man, making very nice plays and passes and hitting guys left right and center, another nice hip check last night by bogo... but then on another shift he makes a dumb play that ends up in the back of our net. Perhaps expectations are too high for BOGO, he might not be a legit #1 pairing D man but... He's probably not that bad as #2 pairing guy.

Guess the only question i have is we released him i guess, is he still our property?

Maybe dumb isn't the right word, maybe just the way he worded those questions came across as being a little douchey and honestly, what type of answers do you expect when you ask your questions like that. As MBRG explained, plenty of other ways to ask those questions without sounding so douchey about it.

So you really believe Miller is not committed to putting a better team on the field? It would appear not quite as much as bringing in the beer snake since that was his first public item of business. Don't you agree if they don't take this rebuilding seriously it will take a lot more than beer snakes to sell tickets? I don't care about beer snakes, I just don't want to keep hearing it will take another two years when we have heard that for years. Hamilton got it done in one year even after suspending Chris Williams and Edmonton who were with us last year could end up 13-5. the beer snake was brought up because they put out the season ticket renewal info and obviously some sections will be a bit different next year. Wait until the end of the freakin regular season before going nuts about about the moves he isn't making for next yeah. Oh sorry, I guess I forgot we were playing this week but can't remember who. So why did Miller not wait until the end of the year? According to you if it only happens next year why announce it today? Could very well be that reason right there. Makes sense if it is, I mean gotta think about this a little bit, What if theres a family out there who have been sitting in these 2 sections and they are renewing their tix say next week or tomorrow or really, whenever.. Probably best to let them know in advance that maybe just maybe they should consider getting tix in a different section because next season this section is going to be changing a wee bit. Does the timing make sense? It depends, maybe it would make more sense to announce this at a later time but... if people are already renewing their tix for next year right now or tomorrow or a week from now, probably good to let them know in advance, then they can decide, hmm maybe i'll get tix elsewhere instead. Would suck if you went down to the office to renew your tix in those 2 sections and they told you, oh yeah you realize this is going to be the rowdy beer snake allowing section? Kind of puts those people in a bit of a tough situation, this way i guess, maybe they can discuss where they want to sit in advance instead of having to do it on the spot? I dunno.

Do I think It's juvenile? That's irrelevant really. I won't be sitting there. Who the hell am i or who the hell is anyone else to sit here and tell people how to have fun anyway? It's none of my business really, if people want to stand all game, drink excessively, create beer snakes, honestly go for it.. it doesn't effect me one bit. A few years ago, i would have been right in the middle of it all... who the hell am i to say what is right and what is wrong, could care less. And i'm definitely not gonna sit here and tell people how to have fun, people pay for their tickets, they can do what they want really. As long as it's with in reason, this stuff is all with in reason, like i care sitting in the lowerbowl 20 sections away what people in the student section do.

Yeah wild is a pretty damn good player but when you look around the league and compare him to other linebackers, I dunno. He's definitely not a bighill or elomimian or even a sherritt. Not even sure he is a McCoil to be honest. 150,000 seems like too much for him, doubt another team would give him that. He might be our best linebacker but like i said, he's probably not even in the top 5 linebackers in the league. Top 10? Maybe but it's probably debatable.

Pav has been pretty spectacular so far, very good really. He doesn't need to continue to be spectacular, he just needs to be average really. The last few years he's been below average. If he keeps this pace up, we make the play-offs easily, if he doesn't and is just average, (league average), we should probably still have a good chance at making the playoffs. Pavs problem the last few years is he's been below league average. This year, he is well above it so far. If he is just average, we have a chance.

Yeah Goodrich was looking pretty good in camp too until he got hurt and sent back to the rifles. Had a dominating year. Could be a pretty good player for us down the road..

Yup Wicek was the guy who asked all of the pretty dumb questions. Asked if O'sheas job is safe, Dumb. Asked if they were happy taking Goossen, Seriously what a couple of really dumb questions. And then asking him to grade himself.. Our media are a bunch of fools for the most part. Wicek though, my god. What a couple of dumb dumb questions.

Just cuz a beer snake is considered juvenile behavior to some, doesn't mean it is to others. What's that quote, it's from a song... how does it a go? "Now a days no one remembers when they were young and stupid" That's the one. I do remember tho when i was young and stupid and back in my younger days, i would have thoroughly enjoyed what they are doing right now. Way i see it? I don't plan on getting tickets in that section so really... why should i actually care or be bothered about something that has zero effect on me. I mean really, unless this directly effects you and you plan on sitting in that section, who honestly cares. But guess what, by announcing it, if you don't like it, now you know to not buy tickets in those sections.

Don't really care, sat is Section S a few times in my younger days at the old stadium and while it was fun, seemed to distract from the game a bit. I'm at the point where i'd rather watch the game and not be distracted by all the craziness around me. It is what it is. Good on them though for realizing there is a segment of fans who do go to the games to get drunk and stand the whole time and all that stuff, it's cool, not for me anymore but... i think it's cool that they are bringing it back. As far as the beer snake is concerned, Well whatever really, if it means people will have more fun and actually stay in their seats instead of congregating on the concourse, so be it.

MB can go. He gets QB's killed, he did in Montreal with AC and he did it here too. Probably be best to turf him. Gotta see if any upgrades are available first tho. As for ETCH, I'm on the fence but i'd suspect if ETCH goes, all the D coaches would probably have to go too.

Guess they are just discussing options right now and if the depth is there, maybe this option isn't that bad at all. Not like our american receivers were getting that open this year so i mean, if you can get similar production from your Canadians, why not. Right now i think is a good time to be discussing this, that's all they are doing, keeping an open mind. Exploring some options.

Thank you other GM on this site. What an odd thing to say tho. Whether the GMs on this site like it or not? Your whole post is pretty much you pretending to be a GM also. Don't need to add like things like that to your post when you yourself are one of these "GMs" you are speaking of. The real question with Bucknor is what kind of leverage does he have? Would he start on another team? I'm not sure another team would start him, They might but i can't really think of one off the top of my head who would actually give him starters money right now. Does he deserve to be paid? sure he does, but... how much? who really knows. He's not the best field corner in the league, he's probably not the worst tho. Reality is he plays a position that easily could be played by an International for a lot less money. The only thing Bucknor has going for him is he is canadian so he is a ratio changer. If Matt Bucknor wasn't Canadian, what would his value actually be? You could get a guy on a rookie contract to play field corner. He's Canadian tho so obviously being Canadian and a starter means he will get paid. I don't think they will have to pay him like he's one of the best in the league tho. 100,000 - 120,000 is probably fair value. That's not really having to break the bank for the guy tho.

I dunno if it's necessary to trade up, like others have said, it's a deep draft but what i think would be smart is looking to get another pick in the first or 2nd round also. I'm not sure what we have to offer to get a pick say in the 2nd round, but... i'd look at it. Pretty strong draft for oline, sure some have NFL aspirations but i think if we could move a guy (not sure who) to get another 2nd rd pick.. It might work out for us pretty well. Reality is, we could take Demski if available at 2 or 2 and then in the 2nd round grab a couple of oline. Deep draft, Oline don't always work out it seems so why not take BPA regardless of position in round 1 and try to grab an oline or 2 in the 2nd round.
