Honestly after listening to that interview again, what exactly did he say? the truth? right now he is a winnipeg jet and there has been rumours for 3 years, we will see what happens, we all knew at the draft that the jets were listening to offers on him. I honestly don't see why what he said was a big deal... Claude Giroux slaps a cops ASS repeatedly, not a big deal.. Kane answers a question pretty much honestly and is crapped on. I can't blame him for wanting out (if he does, he has never actually said that though) His actions by signing that new contract spoke louder than any of his words or lack there of words... With that being said, I'd move him because I have almost had enough of iths constant crap and i think we do get a nice return on him and i think that's the only way we move him anyways, we either get what we (chevy) wants or he stays a JET. It is what it is. It's really that simple too. Chevy don't have to move Kane, he is under contract so really The ball is in the JETS court, Kane can maybe ask for a trade all he wants, Jets don't need to trade him though, Only trade him if the return is worth it. If it's not, don't trade him. I suspect he is moved prior to the start of the season and i suspect we actually do get a nice return on him, I'm looking at Philly or Boston or The New York Islanders or Rangers even. Those are teams i think who would be willing to give the most up, that Buffalo rumour though... it's there and it makes sort of sense actually.. I don't know what we'd get from them but... i'm guessing it would be one of their first round picks in next years deep draft and probably have to be a couple ready now players off their roster, not sure who though.

I'd always always take the best available OL in the first round. I don't get it really with some, OL is our biggest issue by far, You keep taking those guys until the OL is no longer an issue. Christ our OL is such an issue still, looks like we will be starting 3 Imports this week and maybe next week, that's a problem.. Take the best OL available in the first round.

I think it's best to move on from Kane and get what you can for him, don't give him away though. I'm sure his value is quite high, teams will always take chances on 22 year olds who have scored 30 goals in a season before. I'm hearing Buffalo is a strong contender for him, hope he likes Buffalo more than he does Winnipeg. Good riddance really. I think he is a talented player but i'm not sure he will ever be anything more then what he currently is. His off ice baggage is not worth it any more. I'd suspect TNSE is not happy with him at all and will try to move him before the season starts and probably will move him before the season starts, my guess sooner rather than later. So let's just throw a hypothetical out there, we signed messam lets say, who do we take off the roster to allow messam to dress? a guy that plays special teams right? messam doesn't play special teams so... really, isn't that kind of counter productive to sign a guy like messam? we gain nothing but for him to dress, lose a guy who does play on teams. Garrett (i'm guessing that gbill) called in to the coaches show yesterday and asked about grigsby and his blocking. I can't remember exactly what o'shea said but.. it was along the lines of, unless you are in the huddle and know what type of protection they are running on that given play, then really, you don't know. It's not exactly what he said, it was more in depth but.. basically in a nutshell, unless we are in the huddle, we really don't have a clue.

With Mike Fishers injury, out 4-6 months, jokinen essentially becomes the preds number 1 centre. That's scary. Rumour has it they are after Lecavalier but still... Not a very good group of centres there.

Considering it's Frolik and who we have as up and comers, I think the Jets management would rather see a two to three year deal max imo. Frolik is a good player though, he might not be a consistent top 6 but he's a very good bottom 6, put him on the third line and he's all right. He can kill penalties, is responsible defensively, and from all accounts, is a good guy in the room, 3-4 is my guess, 5 seems too long.

I don't know if the timeline was that ridiculous, it's a basic stadium, Not giving excuses for the delays here but we got a pretty spectacular time consuming roof, hamilton don't. Really no excuses for this one not being done. I'm betting ours would have been done if it didn't have the fancy roof Can't compare ours to theirs, it's more comparable to ottawas and ottawas looks like it will be done on time.
