what the heck happened for real, is this seriously all because he wasn't a starter and wouldn't accept his role as a backup? if so, that's pretty brutal and selfish on banks part. There has got to be more than just that though. I mean, has to be? No? or is it really as simple as a 34 year old on the downside of his career wouldn't accept a backup role. If that's the case, what other team would want him? I'm not even sure Ottawa would take him actually, what happens if he starts a game, sucks then is replaced? does he ask for his release there too?

you know, we had the same weather here right. i went to mts yesterday to get a new cell phone, there was more people at the mall then there was at the rider game. Wish i was being sarcastic there but i'm not, i couldn't believe the amount of cars in the mall parking lot. yeah the rain was bad, we got the same thing here, the exact same thing really, concordia was flooded by kildonan east school, several other streets were too, downed power lines, broken trees down on every street, still didn't stop people from going out. Yeah those pictures are brutal but guess what, those pictures looked like they were taken from my front street.

Weird part was, even though sask got 10 sacks and 4 were on collaros at least, it looked to me like sask was for the most part only sending like 4 guys on the rush. That oline was brutal and probably will be brutal all season, they were the worst oline last season too, gave up the most sacks at least, collaros needs to make quicker decisions, i'm not sure that is something he can do.

watched most of that game last night, nothing else to do with the monsoon. Noticed collaros hangs on to the ball too long, yes hamilton gave up 10 sacks but not all were just on the oline, i'd say at least 4 were because collaros panicked and hung on to the ball too long. He's a good quarterback but i think he may be a bit over rated due to playing in Milos offence last season. Like another poster mentioned, harris and gale looked pretty good in the pre-season for the argos so i think maybe the system last year was a little bit better for a guy with collaros' skill set. Not sure what hamilton was doing last night though, gable only had 3 carries. Guess when you have no threat at running the ball, the D can just pin back and go all out and go after the qb, kind of like what calgary did to montreal too. No running game = no passing game really. Part of the reason the bombers looked so good thursday was because basically it was a 50/50 split on how many times they ran vs how many times they passed the ball. Kept toronto guessing all night long, hamilton became obvious, so did montreal, you knew they weren't gonna run the ball and in those conditions, i think you needed to run the ball, look at sask, their rb had like 25 carries, gable had 3.

not saying i disagree but.. lalji and tsn jumped the gun yesterday by saying he was released so i'm not sure i'd really take what this guy says seriously at the moment. They had an article on their main site yesterday saying banks was released, IMO, they lost a bit of credibility with that, i like farhan, i do but i think a bit of his credibility has been lost. If he's on the suspended list, i dunno, might mean that he did indeed fly home on his own, doubt they could put him on there if they told him to go home. I don't really know how that works though.

say it once again, sask played in this weather too and looked good, hamilton hasn't.. yesterday calgary and montreal both played in the same weather, calgary dealt with it, montreal did not... Not sure why the SI writers would crap on it.

There is no spinning anything, jesus. The guy asked for his release cuz he isn't a starter. Thats not spinning anything, thats a fact. fact: he got beat out for his job by a younger better johnny sears, ill take sears over banks any day. Fact: in the off season when he thought he was going to be handed the starters job he was rah rah rah. Fact: he hasn't been rah rah rah recently. Fact is.. banks asked for his release cuz he isn't starting. Thats not spinning anything. The only spinning going on here is from you guys who think it's got nothing to do with all that stuff mentioned above. MOVE ON. Another fact: banks was actually never the starter for us, he might have been in pre-season but... that is irrelevant. Never was named a starter, just assumed he was going to be and with the way he played in the pre-season, im surprised he wasn't cut cuz he sucked.

Collaros is going to get killed, we thought our oline was bad, Hamiltons is awful. wow. Just sucking hardcore. no protection at all.
