Etch always rotates guys in and out, in and out in and out, almost too much at times from my recollection. So i expect Wild to play as much, if not more than Kuale does.

why would true north want hartnell, that contract is terrible for him. Why wouldn't they touch vanek? guys a proven goal scorer and can play the RW. wheeler vanek frolik down the right looks pretty good. I doubt they would pay him what he wants but wouldn't surprise me if they spoke to him.

Like i said, i'd probably rather have romby than kelly but... at the same time, romby is pretty old, hasn't played too well the last couple seasons. Surely we could do better than kelly and surely we could do better than Romby. Why not take a look at a few of the younger guys, receiver shouldn't be a hard position to find guys at. I'd rather take my chances on a younger guy over 34 year old bryant. I guess in the big picture, i'm not sure i see a point in bringing in a 34 year old when surely theres a 24 year old out there who could be better and actually might still be here when we actually become competitive and good and challenge for the grey cup. I don't see Romby being a long term solution, actually i know he isn't. Why not give woods a shot or jaymar johnson or really take your pick of one or 2 of the 1000000000000000's of receivers down in the states. Hell, i'd rather we go sign etienne and or sisco and start kohlert watson feoli-guidino i think with sisco/etienne or carter backing them up. I mean if we are gonna go with a 34 year old, why not just help the ratio out a bit and start another canadian receiver instead. Moore,Demark,Watson,Kohlert,JFG. Better than a 34 year old.

Philly trades Scott Harnell to CBJ for RJ Umberger.. guess it's a wash, Umberger younger but not very good, pretty much the same salary cap hit but Hartnell has 2 or 3 more years left on his deal compared to Umberger. Bit of a head scratcher though. Markov re-ups in montreal for 3 years. 5.75 aav. That's a big cap hit for a 38 year old. Also Late coach Pat Burns has been elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame class of 2014 alongside Dominik Hasek, Peter Forsberg, Mike Modano and Rob Blake and legendary NHL referee Bill McCreary. You trade Kane and our left wing depth becomes andrew ladd, that's why i don't see it happening. Kane won't be traded anyways and if he is, regardless what you say, they will get more than just yakupov for him. Helps the oilers sure but how does it help the Jets exactly? Trading your top LW for another RW, how does that help? as for Kane rumours, every damn off season since the Jets came back, the talking heads have always said kane is rumoured to be moved, every damn off season now, enough already... either **** or get off the pot really. I don't think it is very recent at all. They took that seat tracker down i'm pretty sure. The image is right from ticketmaster's website, not the seat tracker site. yeah but how do you tell even based on a colour chart? not many tickets to many tickets? what's many tickets? 500? 1000? 200? Who really knows right. Guess we will all have to wait until thursday to find out.

Well, edmonton would have to add, there is a risk with yakupov, he's russian, he could go to the KHL, there is always that risk. Kane has 4 years left on his deal, yak has 1 and could easily bolt to russia. I don't see that happening, Edmonton really has no need for kane and we don't really have a need for yakupov. Kane should be able to fetch you more than yakupov. I like yak but... when you break it down, that deal doesn't help either team really. The more logical trade with edmonton would be buff or toby, i just don't see how kane helps edmonton and i don't see how yakupov helps the Jets. The jets have very little LW depth, you trade kane and your depth becomes even worse. Kane,Ladd then what? trade kane and then it becomes ladd and a bunch of scrubs really. Don't see Kane to Edmonton at all.

Good depth signing. I'd suspect he's here because stephan is injury prone and it's just a matter of time before he gets hurt. Norris will probably see the field sooner rather than later.

Is BANKS actually injured or is he on the 1 game cuz like others have said, he hasn't looked good at all and it's a way to keep him on the roster. I know suber is actually injured but Banks? I'm not convinced he is. We gave up a backup to a backup receiver for him, Banks probably won't last the season in blue n gold. Gonna go out on a limb here and say he is either traded or released. There is a date or week when veteran contracts are guaranteed right? is it week 10? 11?12? I'm not sure but, it wouldn't shock me to see banks sent packing by then.

Considering how little we used a running back as a receiver in the past few years, his hands of stone shouldn't be a big deal- as long as he hasn't contracted fumblitis. That was the past few years though, crowton aint here anymore, neither is lapo. What he did the last couple years is irrelevant. All you really have to do is watch the pre-season games, i think we saw more "screen" passes in those 2 pre-season games then we did all of last year.

We've been on the receiving end of too many fast shuffles between other teams (ie: Reilly, Collaros, Ray etc) to play nice. The other teams can go pleasure themselves. That's all well and good except for one thing ... we have first year Canadians on our practice roster too. If what another team has on their practice roster is significantly better than what we have, I say go for it. We've been eating dirt for too long- nice guys and all that. I don't think that's been the case at all, Joe Mack never really went after PR guys cuz he thought he could find better players on his own. You need a place to put these guys too, right now we don't have many openings if any actually.

I've come to the painful conclusion that the JETS won't do anything, it will be the same old same old, oh well... as for a few of those guys mentioned above? raymond would be a good pickup but he might want to much term, it's not the dollar value im worried about with raymond, its the length of the deal. 1 or 2 years is fine, anything more for raymond is too much. The only thing tootoo has going for him is he's local, he can't score, he can't do anything, we already have a young tootoo in peluso, there is no need for tootoo, my guess is he would be a healthy scratch most nights. I think we should leave glenn out of this, i'd say compare willy to reilly and collaros, Glenn isn't a qb who will be around as long as those 3 could be, He's been around the block, Reilly willy and Collaros are the future, better to compare the future to the future instead of to the past really. Glenn coming here didn't really make sense for us, we need to find a qb who can be here for a long time, Willy could be that guy, Glenn would have been a stop gap, That is what he is essentially in BC cuz we all know when lulay is healthy, he is starting. Reilly,Willy,Collaros are the next big 3 QB's in this league, I'd just about wager anything on that. You got that top tier of QB's, Ray,Burris (he's 40 though) and Lulay (He's hurt) and I'm going to put Durant up there too. Then you got that up and coming group of Reilly,Collaros,Willy. I'm gonna go out on a limb here cuz thats where all the good fruit on the tree is anyway and say that those 3 guys are indeed the future, They are the ray burris and lulay/durant in a few years time.

I liked what the O did in the pre-season, they looked quite capable and actually according to the stats mike released earlier, had the most prolific offence in the pre-season, yes i understand it's pre-season but still, we moved the ball, didn't have one 2 and out vs Calgary. Etch? I agree with you, not sold but... guess we gotta give him a few weeks to see what happens.
